Did I ever tell you I collect costume jewelry? It seems like I just cannot get my fill. Now my cup over flows, and I need to sell some, to make room for more. It is just so hard to pick. So, wise old woman that I am, I just grabbed a hand full and decided this is it! Quite brave, if I do say so myself! So here is, what I grabbed and what, I hope will go on Ebay in the next week or so. I was into Egyptian jewelry, western jewelry, pearls, it seems my tastes vary a lot! The Christmas Girl, flower holder is from the thrift store, purchased yesterday. Isn't she cute? Does anyone else have the same trouble getting rid of things that I do? Please tell me I am not alone! Please!

The little girl is adorable! You've got some pretty jewelery here. I've got a jewelery post planned for Friday. I tend to hold on to things that have come from family members. I'm not as sentimental about most things I buy at thrift stores and yard sales. Now the beautiful vase you gave me, I will be sentimental about! I'm planning to show everyone your beautiful gift, but haven't figured out yet how to best showcase it in all it's glory! Soon! Have a beautiful day!
Cool. I also saw this article that gets down to why people like (and buy) old fashioned jewelry, very interesting interview with David Weiman, check out http://kameronkay.com/blog/free-audio-interview-with-david-weiman-on-the-psychology-behind-selling-jewelry/
I am in love with that very retro christmas girl. I collect vintage and retro christmas items and that my dear Martha...is to die for.
As far as getting rid of things...never happens.
I keep my collectables. I have been collecting items since I was 20 years old and the older I get, the pickier I get with what I purchase. But you have some beautiful pieces there.
