BUSS LIGHTYEAR & THE GOOD WITCH!

Hello ladies!

Have you ever been so full of joy that you felt like your heart was going to just bust with pleasure? That is how I feel tonight. On top of that, I am exhausted! I had the most wonderful day with my daughter Vanessa, and my two grandchildren, Maya and Noah! Since it is Halloween, I thought it would be ok, just to share family fun. I did tell you I would show you pictures! I hope you don't mind, but Grandma has to brag!

It was the first time in years, I played tag and was it! I ran until my legs felt like they were going to fall. We were in San Marino today and had the time of our lives. The kids had their face painted, touched snakes and blew giant bubbles. We made masks, made worm tiles, touched roaches (yuck!). They loved every minute of it. There was so much to do, we just could not get it all in before we all needed to nap! I thank God for Grandchildren and naps. They are such treasures. Have a fun Halloween! Blessings and stay safe, Martha

HAPPY HALLOWEEN PINKIES!

Hello My Fellow Pinkies! Happy Pink Saturday! Today we are to share our Halloween Decorations. Since I have shared a lot already, here are a few more. I am sure, like me, your weekend will be very busy. Today I am off to a Halloween Party with Noah and Maya. I can't wait to see them all dressed up. I will post pictures when I get them for you.

Noah thinks I decorate the whole house just for him. Every time he is comes in he says "Halloween for me?" It is worth all the work just for him. I told him he has to get ready for Thanksgiving, so he will be looking for Turkeys soon. He is so much better, thank you for all your prayers. I hope you enjoy your weekend and stay very safe. My son, Kyle, came in tonight and asked me to pray for him. He wants to go to a Halloween Party, but he knows how dangerous this weekend can be. I am so glad Kyle knows, who can take care of him. God is good to us!

Have you noticed how quickly this year has passed? Already I am buying Christmas gifts. I usually finish by now, but I am running late this year. The girls and I have already started planning Thanksgiving. We are going to so something different this year! I can't think about it or I will get stressed. Have a wonderful weekend ladies. See you on Tea Cup Tuesday! Blessings! Martha

NEW TREASURES FOR TEA CUP TUESDAY!

Hello my fellow tea cup lovers: Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No.34. I am starting this post with a new found tea cup treasure. While on my way from visiting Noah, who is so sick, (PLEASE PRAY) I saw an Estate Sale sign. Anyone who knows me, knows I cannot resist an Estate Sales. It was in San Marino, a very exclusive neighborhood, which made the sale that much more exciting. With heart pumping, (thank God) my mother and I enter the back gate to find rows and rows of collectibles. I took a quick walk through every row scouting things out and then went back for a closer view. (Don't you just love the thrill of the hunt?) One of the first things that caught my eye was this Paragon Cup. It is truly one of the most beautiful cups I have ever seen. It is gold chintz with pink flowers. It has a broken loop handle with a thumb rest. The pedestal shape cup and is adorn in yellow. Pictures do not do this one justice. This week's favorite for sure! I had very limited money to spend at this Estate Sale, so I had to be so choosy. I did mange to purchase a few more stunning items. (I will show you later.) This however was the only tea cup that fell into my self made law of "never paying more than $10 for a tea cup". It was so hard not to get others, but I was strong! I wanted it all! But no, I was good!

Moving on, my next cup is also a gold chintz cup. This one is by Colclough. This white footed, scalloped cup, has a ring handle. It is covered in this beautiful gold chintz. This cup is from the 1950's. I have had it forever.

Cup number 3 is a Castleton. It has a waisted footed cup with a broken loop handle. I own the demitasse cup that matches this one. It really is very rich looking.

The last cup is also a Castleton, This has the same shape as the larger Castleton, however, this one is a demitasse. It has a beautiful rose print design, featuring the waisted footed cup and the broken loop handle. The is a common shape for Castleton China, but as you can see each cup is quite unique!

Well ladies, thank you for joining us again this week. I look forward to see what you have to share. Please visit Terri, at http://artfulaffirmations.blogspot.com/. She has become quite the world traveler and brings such beautiful treasures to share with us.

You know what to do with "Mr Linky". The top tea pot is a Spode. I have several white or cream color tea pots, I just like how they can be used with many colors. It is always pleasure visiting everyone. I want to thank you for all your prayers. Noah is still very sick, he has pneumonia. I also received a prayer request from a new follower, Betty at mytastyteablog@hotmail.com. Her sister is in hospital with brain cancer, her husband had a stoke and is blind. She is suffering from a deep depression and has her on physical problems. Marydon at http://blushingrosetoo.blogspot.com/ is having cancer surgery this week. You are good women. Blessings, Martha

PINK DREAMS AND PRAYERS!

Hello My Pinkies! Hope this week has been good to you. As promised I am going to post more pictures of my new Pink Craft room. I am not quite done yet, but you can see how it is shaping up. Not only is this room a dream come true, but it is a reminder of a new me. As many of you know, this year was filled with one bad thing after another. It felt like there was no end to the awful things that can happen to one family

At the beginning of September, I went to a retreat with my church. Since then I have felt delivered from a depression that I was in and I did not know it until I was out. I am so grateful that God delivered me. Most of my circumstances do remain the same, however, how I deal with them has changed. God has given me a new direction with new hope. So today, I show you my new craft room. I see it as a sign of new things to come for me.

I know this post maybe a bit serious, however, I was thinking about how many other ladies are out there in Blogland, in the same condition I was before and need prayer. I could not even think about them, until I was out of my dark place. So today, along with sharing my dream pink craft room, I am going to ask you to pray for the following ladies in blogland. We do not need to know why they are hurting just that they are. Please take a moment today and lift them to the Lord. He does heal, He still delivers, He still can open up the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing that we cannot contain, He can still move mountains! If you have a prayer request, please email me and I will add you to the list. No details are necessary, if you do not choose to give them. Our Father in Heaven knows what you need.

I have done a post like this a few times and always with over whelming support and prayers. We are a Christian force to be dealt with and our power is in our prayers! We all love beautiful things and love to share them. However, we all know what is really important and it is not things! Have a wonderful week!

Please pray for: My Noah, he is has bronchitis.

Wanda Lee @ http://theplumedpen.blogspot.com. Her neighbor's home burnt down.

Anne @http://annesphamily.blogspot.com/. Housing and finances

Terri @http://artfulaffirmations.blogspot.com/. Healing

Patti @ http://pattiannsblog.blogspot.com/. The Finances needed to move to Florida

Martha for my son Kyle!

I will keep this post up until Monday. Please feel free to email and I will add your name to the list. As we believe together for our miracles. Blessings, Martha

MORE TEA CUP TREASURES!

Hello Ladies! Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 33! It is time again to share those tea cups. I have read that some of you are taking them out of storage just to join us, others are buying some to play. Tea Cup Tuesday is just of wonderful time with friends. I have made the best of friends through this party. Who would have thought God could use tea cups to minister to one another? I have to say, some of my dearest friends are ladies I have meant through blogging! So take time to visit one another, you never know when you will find a best friend.

I have spent the weekend, putting things away in my "pink" craft room. I love how it is coming along. I will show you more pictures on Friday. Right know, on to the tea cups!

The first cup today is a Paragon. They are famous for the beautiful center design. This one is a lovely mint green with a broken loop handle and a thumb rest. It has a beautiful Adelaide shape. This cup is this week's favorite!

Cup number 2 is a vintage Coalport. It was made somewhere between 1891 and 1920. It is a bouillon cup in the Indian Tree pattern. It too is a Adelaide shape with a broken loop handle and thumb rest.

My last cup this week is made by Syracuse China in New York. This cup was made in 1944. The colors real fit that era. The cup style is Chelsea shape with a broken loop handle. For some reason, it reminds me of my Grandma, not sure way.

On the very top is a pair of Bavarian tea pots recently purchased at the thrift store for $6.00. I really scored that day. I even found two Weiss, vintage necklace for $4.00. I love it when that happens. I get all excited and can't wait to look at my treasures at home.

Not sure if Terri is going to post this week, she is in England. It is a tuff life, but someone has to live it! Hope you are having a great time, Terri! I know this is a short post for me, but I have to finish my craft room. You know what to do with Mr. Linky. Remember you are special to the Lord and to me! Blessings, Martha

PINK DREAMS COME TRUE!

Hello Pinkies! Hope this day finds you well. I am so excited, my pink craft room has become a reality! When I told the painter I wanted the room pink, he thought, I wanted Pepto-Bismol Pink! Not so, it is the palest of pinks and it looks wonderful. I am in the process of putting all my things back. They have been in my bedroom and in the living room. Of course, this was the week I had the most company! I even had an antique dealer stop by to visit, because my friend had told her about some of my collections. So she wanted to share my house with her. Normally, that is ok with me. I have never minded surprise visits. This week however, even Noah complained that everything was a mess.

I watched Noah all week so it was harder to get the energy up for too much after a few hours of my sweet heart. He says I am hilarious. The child is two and already he finds the humor in his Grandma. He spent yesterday taking pictures of me with my camera. No matter what I did he would say "that was a good one, Grandma". This picture is one he took. He asked me to smile and say cheese and then took a picture of my toes. This is typical of what he took. The one on top is of him and Wall - E.

I am sharing today some of my craft room goodies. Things are no where nearly done, but I am so excited I just had to share it with you. Did I ever tell you I collect craft items? I have done a little bit of everything, as my craft room reflects. I am decorating in pink and I am pretty sure I will keep that palette all year long. I will just change out the pinks! As I told you before, I have wanted a pink craft room for over a year now. My dream came true. God is so good to me!

This room is full of craft items. My current passion (noticed I said current) is paper crafts. I am working on several scrapbooks. I also hope to make some crafts to add to my new web site that is coming soon, (I hope)!
Did I ever tell you I collect shoes? I have them all over, I don't know why I never mentioned that to you. I guess I was afraid you would think I was just plain crazy! Oh, well, the truth hurts sometimes. I also hope this weekend finds you in "the pink"! Blessings, Martha
