TEA CUP TUESDAY AND ANOTHER WINNER!

Hello Ladies: Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 133! I hope you have all had a wonderful week. I was lucky enough to go to Lake Arrowhead on a Retreat. Retreats are wonderful, so relaxing. It was my birthday on Sunday and I celebrated all day long. My dear friends celebrated with me in Lake Arrowhead and my family celebrated with me when I got home. I felt like a party animal all day! Among the fun items I received was a I-phone. You can imagine the frustration, when I had to ask Noah how to answer the phone. I think the phone is just a little too smart. I have been struggling with the phone for the last 48 hours. Just trying to make simple phone calls. You just have to talk to the phone and it will send a text for you. (Don't tell anyone, but it is to smart for me!) I hope it will get better.

I have some wonderful cups to share with you this week. This first is this all gold Bavarian Tea Cup. I just love how it looks.

My second cup is Hart China. I have never heard of the company before, but I have had this cute little number for years. The cup features these amazing orange roses with a great shape cup. I am not a big orange fan, but this time of year, I think they look wonderful.

The last cup I am sharing this week is a pot belly shape cup by Taylor and Kent Bone China from England. Love the shape of this one.

Here is Mr. Linky for this week. I hope you are still enjoying the fun of sharing tea cups.

Before I forget, Mom Wald, informed me that she has won my give away before and feels guilty that she won again. So, Noah, pick another name this week. Our winner is . . .Michele @ The Nest at Finch Rest. Thank you Mom Wald for your honesty, I am sure Michele is happy today. Please send me your address Michele so I can pack up your new tea cup.

Have a great week. I know I am late again, but, I was away and it was good! Hugs, Martha

TEA CUP TUESDAY AND WE HAVE A WINNER!

Hello Ladies! Welcome to Tea cup Tuesday No. 132! I bet you were wondering where I was yesterday. I had doctor appointments all day yesterday and came home and fell asleep. So sorry! It looks like we have all begun our Autumn Season decorating. Things have finally begun to change in my home. Getting ready for the cool weather and of course the Holidays. I have been helping our church get ready for a 90 Anniversary. I want to make things look special for them, at the same time, I have my son, Kyle to help. I want to thank you for your prayers, unfortunately he did not score high enough to be hired. His score was a 95, that tells you how hard it is to be a Fireman in California. He was given the opportunity to reapply in January, 2013. In the meantime, his is working on his EMT Certification. Please pray for him, it is so hard.

As promised, we have a winner of our Tea Cup Contest. Drum roll please . . .Mom Wald of http://momwaldsplace.blogspot.com. If you do not know this lady, let me introduce you, she is amazing. She always leaves wonderful comments. (You know the kind that you like to re-read, that's her!) When you are sad, she always lifts you up. When you are happy she shares in your joys and encourages you on. I am so glad Noah (Ninja) was able to stop long enough to pull her name out of the hat. Mom Wald, please email me so I can send you our treasure. I plan to have another give away at the end of next month. (I have been watching Hoarders lately, so that always encourages me to give away or to sell.

My cups this week are so cute. This first one is one of my favorites. I had coveted this cup for years, but it was always too expensive. Finally, about 3 years ago, I found one at an Estate Sale in Pasadena. I was so excited. It is a beautiful gold inside the cup as well as on the saucer. It is an Aynsley of course. Don't you just love it?

This next cup is this cute demitasse cup from Japan. It has this little bird sitting on the handle. I just love this cup. I have owned it for years. I am sure it is not very valuable, but how can resist the birdie?

This last cup is an orange color Bavaria tea cup. Color is very bold, and to be honest, sometimes I love it and others times, I wondered what I was thinking when I purchased it. Today, I like it. (Don't say anything, I already know.)

Here is Mr. Linky for this week. Again, sorry for being so late. Will be visiting you all this week.

Have a wonderful week! Hugs, Martha

TEA CUP TUESDAY ON 9-11!

Hello Ladies: I want to welcome you to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 131! Tea Cup Tuesday falls on 9-11. I think I will always feel different on this day. Remembering how much I cried during that awful day. So grateful we live in this wonderful country. I pray for all the families who suffered loss and can never forget how that day changed their lives forever. My son, Kyle, today tested for the Santa Monica Fire Department. He is so excited and feels like he did very well today. We should know by Wednesday. It is the desire of his heart to be a Fireman. Most people run away from fires, he wants to run toward them. Still I pray, God will give him the desires of his heart!

I have begun to move into Autumn with my home decorations. My back is improving daily and I am so grateful for all your prayers. I have been slowing changing things over, at the same time trying to get my website ready for the holidays. Still trying to adjust to my son's new school session and not sure what will happen if he gets hired.

I am sharing some of my Autumn color cups today, starting with this beautiful T. V. Limoges. I love the design on this cup. It looks very Art Deco, don't you think?
The brooch inside the cup is also a Limoges.

This next cup is a Noritake. I just love it. I am a big Noritake fan. Some of their cups are just amazing. All the dishes I am sharing today are hand painted Limoges. They are stunning in person.

Here is Mr. Linky for this week. Please take the time to visit Terri, she is an amazing woman. She does so many things. I get distracted so easy. I am like a two year old with a short attention span. I wish I could fix that about me.

Next week I will have Noah pick the winner of the Tea Cup. Don't forget all you have to do is be a follower of this blog or Facebook and leave a comment. Have a wonderful week. Hugs to you all. Martha

SEPTEMBER'S FIRST TEA CUP TUESDAY!

Hello Ladies: Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 130! I am so sorry I was unable not join you for the last week's party, my back was awful. It is not 100% yet, but so much better. I feel like I all I have done is sit around looking at all the things I have to do. Thank you for all your prayers and helpful information. I tried everything! I know it would have been a lot worse without your prayers.

I know most of you have begun to change your decor over to Autumn colors. I hope, by the end of the week I will be back in the groove and feeling Autumn. It has been such a hot summer, I will be grateful for the cooler weather. The two first pictures are of my home in previous years, sorry.

Today I will be sharing cups with messages, I love cups like that. They are getting harder and harder to find. I pick them up if I ever seen them. This first one is a "Father" mustache cup. Mustache cups with mottoes were a fad in the late nineteenth century. One common example was the "Father Cup". I was lucky to find two. This cup was made in Bavaria. It is a can cup with a gold loop handle. It is very pretty.

This next "Father" cup is a great pink color. I had the matching "Mother" cup, but I killed it getting to the "Father" cup. I am sure another one will find it's way to my house. This cup is very large, probably used for coffee. It has a very large loop handle with a thumb rest! It always amazes me, when I find pink cups made for men. They must not have had the same hang ups we have today.

This next cup simply reads "Present". It is German. This one is extremely ornate with a wonderful fancy handle.

This last cup is German and it read "Forget Me Not". It has yellow flowers with a handle shaped like a tree branch. This cup is so old, the sad thing is I can't remember when I purchased it. (Not a good sign, I know.)

Remember I have a give away going. This beautiful cup & saucer is Queen Anne, from England. The pattern name is "Nottingham Lace". All you have to do is leave a comment, be a follower, or follow my Facebook. Enter as often as you like. Here is Mr. Linky for this week. Terri and I look forward to visiting you each week.

Couldn't close without showing a picture of Noah. He was sure I could not recognize him in his teenage mutant ninja turtle costume. He had to tell me who he was! He is delicious! That's my sister in law, Maureen, on the couch.

Have a great week! Hugs, Martha
