THE CHRISTMAS RUSH IS THROUGH!

Hello Ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 252, our last Tea Party of 2014!  Hope your Christmas holidays were wonderful.  For our family, it was the best we have had in years.  My son has shown so much improvement, my husband was well and the girls and grandchildren were amazing. Some of us ended the week with bad colds, other than that, God was so good to us.  We have so much to be grateful for.

Now I face the chore of removing the Christmas items.  I chore I do not like.  Things look so empty when Christmas is put away.  It always gets me in the mood to clean (I hate that mood!).  We do what we must.  I will start this week.   I realized I never showed you my Christmas Tree, so you get to see that today.  I used crystal punch cups, decorated with Christmas Pins as well as vintage ornaments collected over the years. I will also share some Christmas cups and mugs before they all get put away another year.  I feel good that I may have added less than I gave away as far as Christmas decor.  Always a good feeling for someone who others, not me, consider I have a little too much stuff.

I will start with this very vintage Christmas mug.  It is German and I just love to decorate with it at Christmas.  I don't let people use it because, it is old and I don't want anything to happen to it.

The next cup is fairly new, it is a Mikasa. Holly is always perfect for Christmas cups.

This last cup is a small set, called "A Cup of Christmas Tea." It has the Teapot to match.
I am also including some Christmas memories made this year.

Thank you for your continued prayers for Terri and her son.  Wishing you a safe and wonderful New Year!  Hugs, Martha

FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN!

Dear friends:  I will not be posting a Christmas Tea Cup Tuesday.  I want only to wish you peace, joy and love this Christmas Season.  The peace that only can come from knowing the Prince of Peace.   My prayer is that you let God's gift of Jesus in your heart this blessed week!   See you next Tuesday!

Hugs, Martha
PS. Terri sent a linky so I am posting it.  She is in need of your prayers this day.  Hugs, Martha

BABY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE! LET'S HAVE A CUP OF TEA!

Hi Ladies!  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 251! Sorry I am a little late this week.  I know most of you ladies post on Monday.  My son was at the doctor's all day yesterday, I came home exhausted.  He is improving slowly and I thank you for your continued prayers. Wasn't exciting to see Terri post last week?  She is going to try again next week.  I do hope things are going well for all of you.  I can say I am done with all the Christmas presents and wrapping.  This is the first time ever, I have been done so early.  I am so happy.  The silver lining about caring for someone is,  you are forced to stay home, so things get done.

I will be sharing my kitchen decor this week, along with tea cups.  The first tea cup is Carlton Ware.  Love the gold on the inside of this cup.  It makes for a perfect Christmas Tea Cup.

The next cup I am sharing is this Green Depression Glass.  It looks amazing with the Rudy Red Depression Glass.  It is one of my favorite ways to set a table.

Here are a few pictures of my kitchen.  I decorate every room for Christmas, crazy I know.  When it is done, it is so much fun to see visitors looking at all the goodies.  Hope you enjoy the Kitchen Tour.

What is Christmas without my little angels? I love when they come over and hunt for their presents.

Have a wonderful week.  Remember to take time for yourself and rest.  Thank you for your continued prayers for my son and for Terri and her son.   Sending lots of hugs your way!  Martha

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!

Hello Ladies!  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 250!  Are you tired yet? Life just got put on speed for everyone. I love December, but I must admit, I get tired so easy.  I have a big tea  party here at my home on Wednesday night.  It is a annual party I host for the ladies of our church.  It seems each year our home gets smaller and smaller, but I love doing it.  I can officially say, I am done decorating for Christmas. Most people take a couple of days, I can take a couple of weeks easy.

I am going to share my mantle this week.  I don't know, why I love to decorate so much, but I do.  I should have done that for a living.  I make such a mess while decorating, my home can look like it was robbed, that I am sure would be a problem.  Everyone I see decorating will take out their boxes and look so together doing it.  Not me, I make a mess, change my mind and move everything around, all over again until I get it right.  Is anyone else messy when decorating?

Here is the first tea cup I am sharing this week.  It is a a Royal Stafford.  Love the rich gold colors on this cup.

My next cup is a Royal Grafton.  It is the same style as the first cup, very elegant.

My last cup is Depression Glass, Ruby Glass.  I have the entire dinner set, service for 12.  It is perfect for Christmas.  Saw all my Grandchildren this weekend.  It always makes me so happy.  Sophia was here all weekend.  Today I am missing all three!

Please take time to rest this week.  Terri was going to try and join us, we will see. Keep your fingers crossed.  I would appreciate your continued prayers for my son.  He is improving very slowing, but each day seems better than the next for him.  Sending hugs  your way!

DECEMBER'S FIRST TEA CUP TUESDAY!

Hello Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 249!  Our first tea in December, it is hard to believe.  What is even harder to believe is that I am all finished Christmas Shopping.  It is so true and I am well on my way to finishing up the wrapping as well.  I have never done this before and it would not have happened without my dear daughter's help. She was the one that said you have to do it, no matter how you feel. When I could not go, she went for me.  Macy's was our store of choice this year.  How could you pass up all those coupons? The grandchildren had placed their orders on a  wish list a long time ago.  All I needed to do was wait for a sale.  I am not sure why everything went so easy for me this year.  However, I am so glad something did, concerning with the year we had. Our Thanksgiving was good, my son did have some trouble with all the different festivities, but as a whole it was great!  We are still eating Turkey.

I am not quite finished decorating.  I don't think I ever finish decorating, but it is getting close.  I love sharing Christmas Tea Cups.  So many beautiful ones to pick from.   Want to start with this Duchess, from England.  The pattern name of this cup is "Winter." I love the colors that are used on this cup.  The colors are not the typical Christmas red and green.

The next cup is the Classic English Spode cup.  Love the ruby Christmas trees I have place in each cup.

The last cup I am sharing today is this Mikasa. I have always loved this china company.  It seems everything they make is so elegant.  This tea cup is no exception.

Look how big Princess Maya is getting.  Thank you so much for following this party each week.   It never gets old for me. I have not heard from Terri this week, which is not like her.  Please continue your prayers for her and her son. They have both been in a lot of pain.  I would also appreciate continued prayers for my son as well.   Have a wonderful week. Sending hugs  your way!   Martha
