PROUD TO ME AN AMERICAN!

Hello Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 228!  Hope you have had a wonderful week. I know the weather across the country has been horrible.  Please keep save. Los Angeles will be starting a wind and heat event. Never good for us.  We had some major events happen this week. First, I want to tell you about Terri. Her and her son are in need of prayer.  They are both struggling with health issues and need us to cover them with prayer.  She is going to try  and post sometime in July, if she can.  Terri is a strong and amazing women, I know God will work a miracle for her family.  Any details really need to come from her, what she needs the most is prayer and we can do that!

On a lighter note, Noah, received his "yellow belt" in Karate and my "Hot Shot"  Son, got to give his parents a tour of the station and many unanswered questions were answered.  It was a great family day and we all enjoyed our education in fighting forest fires.

The Fourth of July is just around the corner and like many of you, plans are already being made.  I want to share some fun cups in the Red, White & Blue colors once again.   The first cup is a beautiful Aynsley.  The colors are a cream, dark blue and a stunning red rose center.

The next cup is also an Aynsley.  This time with a white, blue and red design. Both Aynsley's have these amazing handles.  They look like ears.

The last cup I am sharing is a hand painted cup with stunning red roses and blue and gold design by Nippon.  My pictures do not do it justice at all.

Here is a peek at the rest of my Grandchildren.  As you guessed, I am doing the Linky again. I just hope it is as good as last week.  Have a wonderful and safe Fourth of July!

Hugs, Martha

SHARING TEA CUPS AND CRAZY WEEK!

Hello Ladies!  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 227! Hope you are all well. I almost forgot it was time to post.  It has been so crazy around here.  My "Hot Shot" son  is fighting a fire in Glendale, CA  right now.  Please remember him in your prayers.  He went from a fire in Santa Barbara straight to Glendale. Let's see, this week,  the stove was left on, gas only, all night long.  We almost woke up dead.  I am so grateful for God's protection. The construction in my laundry room has been moving right along.  I can't wait until it is finish.  Next week the work will begin on the inside of the room, yeah!

I am sharing more red, white & blue cups today.  The first one is a hand blown cup from Italy. It is a stunning cobalt blue.

My next cup is a trio, Made in America, Syracuse China, "Old Ivory" pattern.  Love the rose design on this set.

The last cup is a Royal Grafton from England.  Love the single red rose.

These are a couple fun finds during the weekend.  I collect the plates and I just love the frame.  Our dear friend Terri is still enjoying her summer break, so keep your fingers crossed about the link.  The Grandchildren are enjoying a wonderful summer. Only one sad note, Maya was due for 3 shots.  As you can see she was not a happy camper.  She is spending the night this week.  I will have to do something special.

Have a wonderful week.  Blessings, Martha

OH, TO DANCE WITH MY FATHER AGAIN!

Hi Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 226!   Hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day!  Our family celebrated all the Dad's in the family with a barbecue and lots of smores.  Father's Day always makes me reflect on my own sweet Dad.  He was first a gentlemen.  Loving my mother and his daughters and his Granddaughters in such a special way.  He left big shoes for future husbands to fill.   My younger son, Kyle, was two when he lost his Grandfather so he really does not have a lot of memories of my Dad.  He has been lucky enough to have my husband's father.  So God saw to it that he was not with a a wonderful Grandfather.   Today for Tea Cup Tuesday I want to honor both these men who we have been blessed to have in our lives.  They were and are good example of our Heavenly Father.  My prayer is that you too have good memories of your Fathers.  This first picture is of my Father, Felipe.  The second is of my husband's father, Alfred.  Both amazing men, that we have been blessed with.

For the tea cups today I am picking Father's Cups.  The first one is from Germany.  It is a mustache cup, rather large, maybe it was used more for coffee.

The second cup is also German and very old.  This too is a Father's Cup.  Love the pink!

I remember dancing with my Father. One day, I will dance with him again.

I am working on a crown for Elsa to match the dresses.  I will show you them next week with a little luck.  Have a great week.  I am not sure if Terri is going to join us. Here is this week's link.  Keep your fingers crossed. I am so grateful that we all have a Heavenly Father who never leaves us or forsakes us.  Sending hugs your way! Martha

AS YOU CAN SEE TERRI IS MISSING.  SORRY FOR SMALL LINKY.  HUGS, MARTHA

NEEDING TO START COUNTING MY BLESSINGS TODAY!

Hi Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 225!  We have had tough week.  Construction is still going, which is never easy.  I also had a water leak in my kitchen, more work for me.   I am so tried.  I feel like I could sleep all week.  My son is officially a "Hot Shot" but is was tough for him.  Please keep him in your prayers, we are on the edge of one of the worse fire seasons in years.

Here are a few cups I will be sharing with you this week. The first one is a Coalport.  Very beautiful, hand numbered cup in a rich deep blue.

I also one the demitasse to the very same cup.  It is so very cute!

The last cup I am sharing is a Lefton.  It is pottery and I believe the name is Americana Rose.  I have the matching canisters to this as well as other pieces.  I love it.

I am making this post short, because I have just had a rough two days.  A very dear friend has been very ill and is only getting worse. I have lost bracelet that was very precious to me.  My kitchen sprung a water leak, so I was with out water for 24 hours.  I won't mention the mess.  My neighbor is up set, because someone is leaving cigarette butts in front of his house and he is blaming me. No one in my family smokes cigarettes. The neighbors on the other side  of me have five chain smokers, perhaps it is the wind that is blowing the butts to his home?  Today, I feel like I could give you a list of my troubles.  My daughter came over today and in all her young wisdom, she said "Mom, if that is the worst that can happen, you are going to do all right!"  It is so true, in the the large scope of things,  these things are really petty.  I just have to trust God, one day at a time.   With her great wisdom, I will say thank you for stopping by. Remember Terri, is only posting every other Tuesday during the Summer.  So that means, the link is all up to me! Scary!   Have a wonderful week.  I am sorry for being whiney.  Sending hugs and looking forward to visiting. Martha

A CELEBRATION OF A SPECIAL DAY LASTS ALL WEEKEND!

Hi Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No.  The big wedding I have been working on was this weekend.  The Bride looked beautiful, the venue was very cute and there was fun for all to have.  All three of my Grandchildren danced until the wore themselves out.  The picture below is of them dancing with parents.  I kind of cropped Maya's Dads' head off,  Noah's Mom is also missing, sorry.  The grandchildren always distract me. It was so wonderful to spend the weekend with all my children.

My room addition is in full swing, yeah!  It had slowed down to a crawl, but thank God we are back in gear.  It is so hard to believe it is June already.  We are going to blink and it will be Christmas time, have mercy.  This month I was the featured member on Etsy.  I have been selling on Etsy for years, this is a big first for me.  I will be changing my home to a red, white & blue decor.  It always feels like summer's officially here when those colors go up.

I will be sharing red, white and blue cups the next few weeks, starting with this trio.  It  is one of my favorites cups.  As you might remember I collect portraits, so to find them is tea cups is so perfect.  They tend to be pricey so I do not have many.  This first cup is a Royal Vienna, Portrait, Tea Cup.  It is 24Kt gold trimmed, featuring a lovely portrait design.  Most of Royal Vienna portrait cups are just out of my price range.

This next cup is a cream and burgundy color and was made in Germany, US Zone.  I have taken a picture of the signature because my eye can't see it as well as I use to.

The last cup is Red Transferware, by Palissy Pottery.  I have just recently started collecting Red Transferware.  It is Sandi's fault over at Rose Chintz Cottage.  She has an amazing collection.  I just fell in love with Transferware because of her. If you get a chance please visit her and you will see some stunning stuff!

I was lucky enough to win a $25 gift certificate from Kimberly at JOYtobheld.etsy.com and this wonderful hand made tag.  Love that it has a tea cup. Stop by to visit her when you get a chance.
Great news, I believe Terri is back home this week so I should have a better link.  I am so sorry about last week.  I just have so much trouble with this.  That is the main reason I do not list who's party I am following, it always makes my link so wacky.  Have a wonderful week. Thanks for loving me regardless of my lack of talent!  Hugs, Martha
