THE MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS!

Hello Ladies!  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 292!   Hoping your Christmas was wonderful. I feel like we have had a Christmas Miracle.  My son has been doing so good, each day better than the last. You pray for a miracle, but when you get it, it is almost more than you can handle.  That is how I feel right now.  Needless to say this was the best Christmas I have ever had.

Now it is time to face reality and take down the Christmas decorations, it is always a little sad to me.  Normally, I have everything down by New Year's Day.  This year,  I am not going to be in a big rush. I have learned a few hard lessons recently, most importantly, focus on what the real meaning of Christmas is.   I am so thankful for what He has done for our family.  My son should have died and yet, today he is enjoying time with his best friend. God is so good.

I am sharing my Christmas mugs.  I love to have them out all month long.  It is so fun to watch loved ones picking their mug each time.

I am also sharing a Christmas Poinsettia Tea Cup by Royal Patrician of England.

Thank you for being so faithful to this blog, even when I have not been able to share.  I have learned so much about you this year as well.  Have a wonderful week.  Be careful and Happy New Year!  Martha

A CUP OF CHRISTMAS TEA!

Hello ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 291! It is Monday night and I am running a little late in posting.

Well, we are down to the last few days, some how everything gets done.  I only have a handful of presents left to wrap and another Christmas is behind me. This was an awful year for our family. However, as we gathered yesterday for our annual cookie baking, there was a sense that this year more than ever, our family knew we had what was really important to us, each other.  I watched as my son is slowly was getting back to normal, his cousins so happy just to have him there.  The true meaning of Christmas has become so real for us this year.  My prayer is that you too can gather with family and friends and remember what is really important.

You have helped me through one of the hardest year I have ever had.  If I could I would grant you each your hearts' desires, you know I would.  The only one who can is Jesus, He is my only hope. May He give you His peace this Christmas.   Hugs,  Martha

THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!

Hello Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 290!  Has your week been as wild as mine? Started my decorating, very late and I am still at it.    Grandchildren's programs, Church programs, and Gingerbread houses were part of this week's festivities. Hosting our Annual Christmas Tea at my home on Friday. Christmas shopping and wrapping gifts are a priority for me  this week. I get tired just thinking about it.

I love this time of year and I am so grateful for my family, my son's continued improvement and for my blogland friends.  Still so many more celebrations before the big day.  I feel so grateful for everything and everyone.

This is a picture of my two beautiful daughters. Sharing a tea cup by Mikasa and some holiday decorations..  Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Hope you are having a wonderful week.
Here are a few of my favorites parties as well as this week's link.

WELCOME TO TEA CUP TUESDAY NO. 289!

Hello Ladies: It feels so good to be here this week. I have been living a nightmare.  My son is home from the hospital again and improving daily.  He lost a great deal of weight, but is slowly gaining it back.  He went on a 1/2 cup a day rice diet for over 2 months.  His thoughts were no longer clear because of it.  People with PTSD can suffer so badly.  I am grateful that he did not turn to drugs or other things that could have made things so much worse.  I want to let you know that God has been faithful to our family. I felt that I need to give you this explanation because I have been so undependable lately.  I am so thankful to each of you for your encouragement to me. Your prayers helped me get through each day.  Emails  always came at just the right time. Consider yourself hugged!

Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 289!  Did you notice Terri has been posting?  I have never met Terri in person, but I love her like a sister.  She is a constant for me and I am so thankful she has been able to post.  My post will be short this week, because I am so behind on everything.  I needed you and wanted you to know that you are an amazing group of women!  I am sharing  a Spode Tea Cup, because they are so perfect for this time of year.  To me, the Christmas Tree always reminds me of the Cross, something I am forever grateful for.

Have a wonderful week. Once again, THANK YOU! Sending hugs your way.  Here is today's link:

Dear Ladies:  I want to give you an up date on my son.  He is home and improvement has been really slow.  Please keep him in your prayers. He needs to take his meds and eat, especially protein.  It was a very stressful week, hoping for a better one.  I am also hoping to returning to Tea Cup Tuesday next week.  I just want to say thank you for all your prayers and  emails.  They have been more comfort than you will ever know.    Blessings, Martha

LUCY, YOU HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO!

Lucy, you have some explaining to do!"  Isn't that the truth?  So sorry about the last couple of weeks. Do you remember my telling you about my picture problems? Well, my computer only got worst!  I took the computer to the Apple Store,  who said I have to back it all up before they could do anything.  My son, typical guy, said he would do it for me.  It was on his time of course.  It finally got done and my beloved son said, "I can fix it now."   It still not completely working right, but I can finally get some pictures again,  just very slowly.  Anyway, welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 288!

I want to thank you for the emails, checking on me.  It is so nice to know you were missed.  My son in law is finally out of the hospital and is improving slowly thank God.  My sweet son is still dealing with PTSD issues but a lot better than he has been.

I bet you think I forgot about the Johnson Brothers trio give away.  I did not forget and the winner is . . . Fabby of Fabby's Living.  Not sure how long she has been a follower of this blog, but I do know it has been a very long time.  She is an amazing woman and always sets a beautiful table.  Fabby, please email me your address and I will ship this trio to you.

I am sharing three cups this week, because of the problems I have  there will not be a lot of pictures.  The first is this lovely Shelley.  Love the fall colors on this great cup.  For some reason, it does not look like  a Shelly to me.

The next are these two demitasse cups perfect for Fall.  They are both made in Japan. Well, I better not push it or I might not have a
post again.  Have a wonderful week.

Love you all, Martha

LAST WEEK TO SIGN UP FOR THE TEA CUP TRIO GIVEAWAY!

Hello dear ladies!  Hope your week was wonderful.  I was away all weekend on a Retreat,  I did not get to go last year because of what happen to my son, during the fires.  This was the first week end I have left he alone since the accident happened that changed his life.  He do not do as well as I have hoped alone, but I am back and will spend the week, getting him back on tract.  Please say and extra prayer for him this week.  Thanks.    This is the last week you can sign up for the free give away of the Johnson Bros. trio that is pictured about.  I will add a few more treasures, but they will be a surprise.
Thank you again for your faith following, especially  this past year, when everything kind of took a very bad turn.

Just in the beginning to take my Halloween things out of storage and getting ready to decorate with them.  October, November and December are my favorite months to decorate my home.  I love the fact that we have use old collections, vintage plates and give my home a nice lived in feel.  Ready to welcome, and friends who will stop by.  I have been told that the article I submitted to Romantic Homes is going to be publish in the Christmas issue.  I am so excited.  I will let you know.

As  you might figure, I have not had time to work with my pictures so please bear with me just a little while more.

I am featuring two unsigned, vintage beauties this week.  This first cup is a Pheasant design in a demitasse size.  Very rich colors, the pictures do not do it justice.

This last cup is make in Japan and is also a demitasse cup.  I love that the tea cup handle is a little bird.  It is so cute!

My sweet kitchen has begun to fill with hens and all the colors of Fall.

Kitchen Door!

Love this time of the year!

Here are some the parties I will be joining this week.  Please don't forget to let me know you are following me here or at Pretty Vintage Things.  You will get extra tries for that.  Have a great week.
Lots of hugs, Martha

A BIRTHDAY AND A GIVE AWAY!

Hello Ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 286! I do hope your week was good.  I am celebrating a birthday on Wednesday and want to celebrate by having a give away! I will have it open for the next two weeks.  All you have to do is be a follower, if you follow me on Facebook, Pretty Vintage Things, I will put you name in twice.  Just let me know how you are following me and I will go from there. It is my way of saying thank you for sticking with me this pass year.  It has been a hard year, but God is good and things are so much better in every way now.

My give away will be this trio by Johnson Brothers.  It is vintage and features this lovely pink rose trim.  I have tried hard to find the pattern name but with not luck.  Thanks again for your faithfulness.  Good luck.  I was hoping my pictures troubles would be behind me, however, it seems I have just created a bigger mess trying to fix it. This post will be short because of the photo problems.

This cup is a Paragon given to me by dear friend Terri.  It is so beautiful, just like Terri.  When you think of her, please pray for her and her son.  Terri's son Austin, is especially struggling with his health.  Thank you.

Here are some of the parties I will be joining this week.  Your cups last week were amazing.  Loved looking at all the Fall changes in your homes.  Sending hugs your way!

FALL TEA CUPS!

Hello ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 285!  So sorry about last week, my life just got in the way.  Had the baby shower at my home that weekend, so much fun, but I was worn out.  This week I have begun to get ready for a birthday party for my Sophia.  She wants a Ariel, Under the Sea, party. I have made these fun sea shell crowns for the girls and I am in the process of making mermaid tails for all of them.  Wish me luck, I hope I have not bitten off more than I can chew.  I went to that class to learn to use the photos in my iCloud,  however, now I have a big process to correct the mistake I made.  Somethings, nothing is easy, but I am sure I will figure it out.  I just took these pictures and I found them.  Progress!

I am trying to get my act together and decorate for Fall.  It is a little hard when the weather is in the high 90's.  I do not do well in the heat.  However, I am grateful for only heat, some people in California are dealing with uncontrolled fires. We need rain so badly.

I am still having trouble finding the tea cups, I think it is because I have so many.  These tea cups you have seen before. Maybe by next week I will have my tea cups organized.
This week's tea cups starts with this Castleton, Sunnyvale pattern.  It is a demitasse, very cute.

This is one amazing vintage chintz cup.  The top one of the stack is the chintz pictured.

The last cup is this beautiful RS Prussia tea cup,  love all the details on this cup. I only own 2 cups made in Prussia, each one is amazing.

Look how big the Grandchildren got this Summer, unbelieveable! Noah played basketball and has started baseball this week.

Princess Maya went to Catalina Island this weekend.

Sophia started school this week and loved it.  Can you believe she is going to be 4 years old next month?  Thank you so much for your faithfulness to this tea party.  You will never know how special you are to me.  Here are the parties I am joining and your link for this week.  Can't wait to visit. Blessings, Martha
