I AM TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO TAKE BETTER PICTURES!

Please let me know what you think. I go to your blogs and the pictures are beautiful. Take the pictures out side with natural light, I am told. So here they are, outside. I still do not think they are very good. Kind of hit and miss. I had a very busy day. There is a possibility that I might be hosting a garden wedding this winter. How fun, I know! However, I want every inch of my back yard covered in flowers. I have so much to do. My husband has not even ok'd it yet. So, the thought is, I just send him an invitation. He not big on noticing what I do around the house anyway. I could have it all set up and ready to go before he even trips on the first chair! This is a picture of the happy couple with Grandpa Al. Sara and Bobby are my husband's niece. Isn't she pretty? I told you all those tea cups and dinner sets where going to come in handy! I am ready to PARTY!

I live in Los Angeles and we just had an earthquake. I do not do good in earthquakes. This was very strong. I am sure we will have aftershocks. I hate that! I am trying not to be afraid. I hope it works!

I was reorganizing my craft room and wanted to show you some of the black jewelry I collect. Yes, I collect jewelry in different colors! It is so much easier. Whatever color you are wearing, you just look in that drawer to find just the right piece. See, I bet you never thought of it that way! Now, I have given you a new reason to collect more jewelry! Anything I can do for the cause!

Hello Martha! Never fear, I'm still planning to be around to visit you. I have lots of fun playing with my camera too, although I'm hoping to get a new one soon. Your jewelery is beautiful as is the Bride! Can't wait to see all the wedding pictures. We don't get earthquakes much here in Washington. The last big one was about 10 years ago, and was about a 5 point something. I can understand why you dislike them!

BTW your pics look great :)
You can't go wrong taking pics in natural daylight :)

Hello Martha!
I love your slogan..."a serial collector"!!! Too cute! I must say that your photos are beautiful! However, I don't feel you have to drag everything outside to take a good photo. What I do is I have this one window that lets in lots of daylight and I snap my shots near it. So if you have a window that lets in the morning or afternoon sun, set up a vignette of pretties and snap away! Make sure your flash is NOT on and you'll do just fine :)
Hope this helps!!!

I think you are doing a good job with your photos. I've been thinking of taking a class in basic digital photography. There is always room for improvement! Did you notice you and I have tea pots the same shape?

Hi Martha, I think playing with my camera is so much fun. I love the world of digital photography. I take my best photos after the sun sets. I just won a blue ribbon at our county fair for some of my photographs and I was so pleasantly surprised. So go for it! I saw where you love the color pink. Have you heard about pink Saturdays? There's like 160 or so of us bloggers that post something pink every Saturday. (You don't have to do it every saturday...just when you can). It's a blast and I have met so many wonderful ladies through the event. I posted tomorrow's pink Saturday early so you can check it out tonight if you want. Beverly of How Sweet the Sound is the hostess and you sign up through her blog (it's on my sidebar). Join us....why shoot...you could just post your whole beautiful pink roses blog. :) Have a great weekend. ~ Miles of Smiles ~ Lynn
