A Lovely Award and A Lovely Bride!

My new friend, Deb, at A Fine Feathered Nest gave me this lovely award on I day that was so filled with emotions I thought I would not be able to take the stress much longer. So many people I love were in harms way! That day gave some great news, we were out of danger. The award was an added blessing to me. Not so much that she thought my blog was lovely (which is very nice) but, more because I was a part of a real community who I could share with. For so long I felt like the only "Serial Collector" out there. I have since realize that there are hundreds of ladies, just like me, who love to collect for whatever reason. You collect, what ever you want and never judge, but instead encourage and take real delight in treasures found. I just cannot believe how much joy and what wonderful new friends I have made through my little blog. For so long, it felt like I was just writing my thoughts to myself. That was alright, I think that is what I really wanted to do, when I started. Now, however, it is so much more. I have found life long friends. Ladies who care about one another and who give just for the purpose of giving. It is amazing, and I am so glad to be a part of you.

Do you remember I told you I was going to shop for a wedding dress with my niece? Well, here are some pictures of just a few of the over 20 dress she tried on. It was so fun! She is this tiny little thing and everything looks great on her. She did not make a choose, yet!

She's going to have a tough choice on her hands, she looks great in all of them. My favorite is the first picture I think, not that you asked! Congratulations again on your lovely award!

I liked the 2nd to the last dress. I bet you had a lot of fun. When my daughter got married she only tried on 3 dresses and then just picked one as she ran out of patience...lol Anyways, glad the fire has backed away from your area, but it is still a very dangerous situation. The plume from the fire is somewhat beautiful from my front yard....in a strange kinda way. Hope your doing well ~
