MY GARDEN TEA PARTY!

Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 172! Today we are going to celebrate "My Garden Tea Party." I know for many of you have been working on this all month. It has been a whole lot of fun. This party has been Terri's desire and she has been working on her's for weeks. As for myself, I got side track on my yard and so I prepared something today. I know, last minute is not good. My grandchildren were with me most of the day so that did not help, but they did add a whole lot of joy in so many another ways today.

This cute little spot is on my front porch. Believe it or not, more men sit out here than ladies. This is a favorite spot for my son's friends. For some reason, they like these fun little sets, instead of the big ones in the back. It is not unusual to have 5 or 6 of my son's friends sitting around this little table, texting or just talking to one another. It is really very cute to see these big guys sit there. I would take a picture, but that would not make them very happy. I am sure I would hear a "MOM, PICTURES, REALLY?" from my son. I always try to keep it cute and current for them. This spot can sit 6 easy and has so many times.

I have set out a Patriotic Table. The tea pot is a vintage Aynsley. Look at the lovely thumb rest!

The trio is a very antique set. Not really sure who made it. The portrait it's self is hand painted. It is an all time favorite of mine. I have had it so love I forgot where I purchased it. I usually do not do that for something so beautiful.

This next one is a Royal Stafford. It is amazing. The gold's are so rich and thick. The pictures do not do it justice.

It has been drizzling off and on today. For a while I thought it was going to rain today. It never rains in California. I do hope the weather has been better for you. This kind of weather makes my whole body just ache.

The grandchildren has been having a blast and it is just the beginning of summer for them. Remember those summer days? Where did the time go?
Sending blessings and lots of hugs. See you at the My Garden Tea! Martha

Yankee Doodle Dandy himself would be proud to have some tea at your party! That bunch from Boston would probably prefer coffee though.

Hello Dear Martha,
Your red, white and blue tea setting is lovely...and so patriotic : )
Your out door area is quiet and private, very nice. I can see why the guys find it a good spot. Your tea cups are stunning. Really. And that is a fine white tea pot.
I am so glad you are enjoying your gardening, and your grandchildren.
That is what summer is for.
Hugs,
Terri

Hello Martha - that's so sweet that they like to sit there - gorgeous set! I remember when growing up in San Diego loving summer - although we were on a year-round program - but it did seem our free time lasted a long time - love these elegant teacups - I do appreciate you sharing and hosting,

Lovely garden tea! I love the Aynsley! The kids look so happy at the beach...our high 60s aren't quite beach weather yet...at least not swimming. Beach yes, swim no! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Martha, I had a little chuckle at your son complaining about you taking photos. My son likes to pretend he complains, but in fact he's pretty oblivious to my camera and sometimes even asks for photos. Perks of being a photographer and the kids always having a camera in their little faces. I love your little porch area; it's just perfect for a few friends. No wonder the boys like to be there. Somehow it feels intimate and I think that is really good for friendships. The children look so sunny and summery. Oh I wish it would stop raining here and we could go to the beach for a day. That would be nice. I love your red and gold cup too. It looks similar to my very special cup my father gave me. Much love to you my friend and I hope you have a wonderful week. :) (PS. still holding your son and the fires in my heart):)
