TEA PARTY IN JUNE!

Hello dear ladies! Happy Tea Cup Tuesday No. 169! Hope you are all ok and have survived the week of awful weather. Please let me know if you want me to pray for you, it seems with the fires here in California, I have been in prayer a lot more than usual because of my fireman. My son-in-law in a police officer, it took me months to really give him to God, I only take him back on occasion. I have to start this whole process again with Kyle. Please pray that the Lord will show me how to find peace about this new job. It has been hard at times for me. I have to show you a couple of pictures of Noah and Sophia. Noah is playing pirate and Sophia is cleaning the wall, after drawing on it wall. She denied it, of course, with crayon in hand. She finally confessed and said she was "sorry" in a way that only Sophia can say, just to satisfy you.

I bet you thought I forgot I was going to show you close ups of the two cups I shared last week? Well, I didn't and here is the beautiful Limoges. It is a large cup, maybe a coffee cup, I don't know. It is just perfect, notice even the bottom, where the signature is has a design.

The other cup was the Lefton. It was a gift from my best friend's mother. It will always be special to me. The best part is, the pedestal base. Love it!

The next cup is a California Pottery, demitasse. Notice all the crazing? Very common in pottery tea cups.

Last, but not least is the demitasse rose cup. It is an unsigned beauty. I have a set of six. Very, very cute!

Did I every tell you I collect Ladies in frames? I have them in every room of my home. I am going to be sharing a couple each week.

Have a great week. Please let me know if I can pray for you. Don't forget to visit Terri, she is working hard to get her garden tea party ready. Here is this week's link.

Blessings, Martha

Hi Martha,
I absolutely love the Lefton pedestal base teacup. The rose on it resembles Royal Albert's American Beauty. That pale pink background is my favourite colour on a teacup. Thank you so much for hosting Teacup Tuesday.
Take care,
Karen

Joy to you, Miss Martha - and do pass the pink in teacups and brooches! Always a lovely display! Your little ones crack me up - I had to wallpaper our family room and kitchen in scrubbable vinyl twenty years ago when my little girl (all married now) insisted upon being artistic on the walls. So long ago - yet like yesterday . . . blessings in the mist of trials . . .
Joy!

Martha, I always enjoy seeing photos of your beautiful teacups and your gorgeous "bling." Even more, I love seeing photos of your precious little grandkids. They are sure growing up! Seems like Sophia was just born...and now she's drawing on walls!

I am joining the party today...first time in over a year, I think.

Have a great day.

Love,
Patti

I absolutely love the one from your best friend's mother. I find that I am drawn to the cups with "feet" and BIG roses. Your grandchildren are growing like weeds. I can't believe how big Sophia is. My youngest son, when he was little, use to draw on the walls, too. They were always smiley faces. LOL! I made sure that he had lots of paper to draw on and we had happy, smiley faces all over the house. He was one happy boy.
I loved your tea time, Martha.
I send many prayers for your family and those affected by the fires in Cali.
HUGS,
Brenda

Such beautiful tea cups! Tornadoes, fires!! So many prayer needs. My prayer request is much closer to home, as two children are making unwise decisions in their lives. But I am trusting God for HIS perfect will. Thanks for your lovely post.

What precious grandchildren! The Limoges tea cup is just gorgeous. I love the pedestal cup, too. It's so hard when loved ones' work places them in worrisome situations. May God keep your family in His care. ~Michelle

Hello Martha,
I am so glad you included the pictures of Sophia and Noah. They are so very cute! Noah is really growing!
These three tea cups are gorgeous. And I love both paintings you have shared. Especially the lady alone. I would like to try and draw her if that is o.k. It is a beautiful style.

You never cease to amaze me with your collections !Of course the teacups are beautiful as always, but I think your grandchildren are cuter, and more precious than all the teacups in the world, even if they are caught crayon-handed writing on the wall . Love Noah's facial hair. :)

Oh yes, I can see why you keep taking your policeman & fireman back...good thing God understands us and forgives us, and especially watches over us !

Hello Dear Martha. I believe I had shared that my son was a volunteer fireman from High School to early College. I was our local newspaper reporter so, I saw him and the others at work. It really did take me knowing God is always in control to keep my mother's beating heart at bay. Now, he is a Sheriff's Deputy in a county nearby. He told me he's doing what he feels God wants him to. He is really good at his job and I trust him and trust God. That doesn't say my heart beats faster when I hear events he has to face, but I think the more we put on God's shoulders and rest our hearts on Him, the more we can encourage our loved ones to do what they do. I'll add this to my prayers - I just love that we being a whole nation apart, but close in faith - Sisters in Christ can share and care for one another. Your grands are just precious - I have grandbaby fever, but know my daughter has a plan. Love these teacups - is there a teacup we don't love? :)
I appreciate you hosting and sharing,
God bless,
Kathy

Hi Martha. Gosh I've been away at the cabin and away from all electricity/internet/phone and the world has been going on without me! I hope you're ok and you can trust that your boys are clever, and careful. They do such important jobs. You're often in my thoughts and when I think of you I send you strength. Hugs and love.

Hi Martha, just getting back to blogging after a little break. Love your teacups and your grandchildren.
Thanks for being so honest about your journey to give your family members over to God with their work. It is so hard and such a matter of trusting God.
My oldest daughter will deliver the end of July. She lost a baby about a year ago, so this pregnancy has been stressful.I would love to have your prayers for a good delivery and a healthy baby. It's a little boy.
Thanks so much...I will remember you and yours in my prayers too.
Linda
