TEA CUPS IN RED, WHITE & BLUE!

Happy Tea Cup Tuesday No.  173!  Didn't you just love the Garden Tea last week?  It was so much fun.  You ladies are so creative.  I got to visit each one of you and was truly amazed at your talents.  Are you ready for the "4th"?  I have three wonderful invitations, I hope to do it all, if I can.  Sometimes the spirit is willing but the body is weak.

I woke up this morning to the awful news about the firefighters who died yesterday in Arizona.  They were part of the elite team of "Hot Shots."  Every time I hear anything about "Hot Shots" my heart just drops.  I am reminded today that, my son does not belong to me, but to my Heavenly Father, who loves him more than I do.  That gives me peace. Please pray for him and me.

The weather in Southern California has been HOT! Today is the beginning of a cool down for us and I am so grateful. My poor plants have heat stroke.  The dogs only go out if they have too.  Today I plan to share more of my Red, White & Blue cups.   This first cup is a German Cup.  I have given you a picture of the signature, because I don't want to misspell
it.

The next cup is a Royal Grafton, from England.  Love the strips and roses! Perfect for the "4th." Love the shape of this cup!

This last cup is an Aynsley of course. I am sure you can tell. It is so beautiful.  Look at the
ear shaped handle, too cute!

My grandchild are with their Grandma Pam from out of state for the next few weeks.  I am going to have withdrawals, I am sure.  I know I have to share.  It must be so hard not to see and hold your grandchildren.  The grow up so fast. So, I will be good, and settle for a visit on the 4th of July with them.  They are so happy to see her.  I am delighted for her!   Be good to yourselves, remember you are loved!   Hugs, Martha

Oh, dear God, Martha, is your beloved son a "Hotshot?"

My heart goes out to all those young men who lost their lives, as well as to all their family members left behind.

We must just put everything into God's hands. It is the only way to survive in this world.

As always, your cups are lovely. Susan

Hi Martha,
when I heard the sad news about tese firemen I immediately thought on your son. I wish him and you very much luck with his work, that he never comes to such a sad result.
Thank you for sharing this interesting cup. The stamp says Königl. pr. Tettau, which means Royal Prussian Tettau. Since 1957 this company belongs to Seltmann Weiden Group. Thank you for sharing this wonderful cups and for hosting this event.
Blessings, Johanna

Martha your faith must be such a comfort to you. I'm so glad. You were the first person I thought of when I read about the tragedy. I'm so glad your son is safe.

Your tea cups are spectacular this week. I love the Royal Grafton red one. That has got to be my favourite. Hope you have a wonderful, joyful 4th celebration and please take photos! I'd love to see them. Hugs. :)

Thank you so much sweet lady and I am sorry I went to your party and didn't place a back link or thanked you for it! I think it's when my mom called me to take her somewhere and I left immediately...but I have no excuse! I have it all perfect now, as I always had in the past! Your RW and B teacups are stunning and everytime I come over and see your gorgeous collection, I say to myself that I need to start collecting lovely teacups myself, I just love all yours!
Wishing you and yours a wonderful Fourth weekend ahead. Big hugs,
FABBY

Your teacup selection to celebrate the 4th is nice.
My husband is a retired Toronto fire captain and when any of the brothers or sisters of this profession die in the line of duty, it is with much sadness that we pray for their families.

Amazing patriotism through tea cups! Such beautiful and exquisite designs too! I recently started collecting tea cups and am trying to start a Red Hat society chapter in No. VA. with a theme of tea cup ladies... still working on what to name it... suggestions anyone? I will have to be back to this blog more often!

Happy PS!

We are so reminded about how things can change from day to day, month to month, year to year. Last year we were in a drought praying for rain! It seems to have flipped this year - I was so sad for the families of the firefighters - having a son who is a police officer - I know the risks and dedication they all experience - you're right - they ultimately belong to God - He loves them more than we can comprehend - I am delighted that you shared with A Return to Loveliness,
Kathy
