TEA CUP TUESDAY NO. 15!

Hi Ladies: Welcome to our 15th weekly Tea Cup Tuesday! I am still as excited as our first one! Many of you ladies have asked me how many tea cups I have. I don't know and it would be very hard to count because some are stored for certain seasons and others are all over the house. I have six china cabinets that I store things by color. I have been thinking about thinning out some of my tea cups, but I have a hard time deciding which ones. All my things have stories behind them. I am the only sentimental one in our family. Someone has to be the keeper of precious treasures, don't you think? Am like most people, I collect what I love and tea cups and tea pots have been a long time collection for me. My tastes have changed, I only collect really beautiful ones. (Are there ugly tea cups? I doubt it!) As I have shared this collection I realized, my collection is quite extensive. I think, not sure, but I may have to ask for prayer to eliminate some. (Don't start yet, I am working myself up to the decision!)

This week I have that beautiful FRANZ Tea Pot and Tea Cup, I promised to show you. This stunning set is called FRANZ Porcelain, "Papillon Butterfly" pattern. I have admired these tea sets for years. I have only seen them behind glass. Just the spoon goes for $25 on Ebay. I purchased the whole set for $35. I was so excited. I think it is so amazing looking! Look at all the detail.

The next cup is by Taylor & Kent of Longton, England. I love the large white and pink rose. I don't think I ever drank tea from it. I will have to do it, just to see what it looks like filled with tea.

Cup number 3 is a can shape cup. If you look at the handle it looks like the Christian Fish. I believe it is French, but I am not sure. The cup is not marked. I love can shape cups, they are hard to find and they are always beautiful.

Last but not least is a Schumann from Aezberg, Germany. It love like pink lace with gold trim. Look at the handle, it is just amazing! This one is my favorite this week. Aren't you just loving this song? It always reminds me of my 2 daughters. I miss them being little girls.

Thank you so much for being a part of this party! All you have to do is add your name to "Mr. Linky" and have fun. Join early, join late, just join the party. It would not be the same without you! Don't forget to visit Terri at http://artfulaffirmations.blogspot.com/. Terri is an amazing woman, you don't want to miss her post! Blessings my friends! Martha

Oh, Martha, everything is beautiful!!! That butterfly teapot is exquisite. (How appropriate, I'm listening to "Butterfly Kisses" right now...lovely song).

No, I won't be praying for you to be able to let some of the collection go. How could you ever decide what to part with? Impossible.

Thank you for sharing your lovely collection. I am going to take part for the very first time and showcase only one of my teacups. My collection is not large (maybe 15), so if I posted more than one a week, I wouldn't have anything to share before long.

Blessings,
Patti

Oh that butterfly set is breath taking. You have such a beautiful collection and I look so forward to Tuesday now. Not sure what I'll post this week. Once again, I love the added bling. It sure does give a great perspective on the sizes and just adds a special touch. Thanks so much for sharing your collection.

How pretty - can I submit a post abt teapots or do i need to have teacups in it?

OH Martha, so much to see and so much to say!
First off, your new blog look is just fantastic, and so patriotic! I love it.
Secondly, the butterfly set is gorgeous, I have purchased a tea cup and spoon for a friend once. I love it too.
Your other cups are beautiful as well. You must have hundreds of cups. You will outlast us all on Tea Cup Tuesday! Lol!
The can shaped tea cup is totally original, isn't it? I have posted one today too. Marie Antoinette's cups were that shape.
As for thinning out your collection, Why not sell them in your Etsy shop? I know you will make a good decision about it. I am sure I am not the only one here who would love to shop in your china cabinets!!!
I enjoyed visiting you today.
Hugs to you,
Terri

I was able to get my post up for Teacup Tuesday, YEAH!! Blogger finally got the issue resolved. They made some upgrades, and those upgrades were causing the problem for hundreds of people! They have changed things back...I say leave well enough alone, right!

BEAUTIFUL doesn't cover it, Martha! LOVE those butterflies ~ I've never seen anything like that. Your home must be just full of 'eye-candy' to look at. And grouping all your teacups and pots by color is the perfect way to see them all.
As always, I wish you a warm and wonderful week and send my friendship!

Martha,
I so enjoy looking at your collection. Don't thin it out just yet, you might regret it. I know from experience! I'm sentimental too and everything in my home has a story as well. If you do end up thinning out your collection, gift it to someone who'll appreciate it and love it as much as you do!

I am in total awe of your tea cup collection. You showed more in this post than I own. And they are all gorgeous and rare. Love them all.

There is NO WAY I could join you in this collaboration. I would be removed by week three for showing the world's ugliest coffee mugs that have no saucers. However, I will be here each Tuesday to see what beauties you have to offer. I might even find one at the thrift store one of these years and join in for a week. Thanks so much for the invitation, though. It was kind and very thoughtful of you (and so like you, too).

Martha, the Franz tea set is unlike any I have ever seen before and it is beautiful. Is it hard to store it without risking breaking the butterfly adornments?

The Taylor & Kent rose teacup is stunning. I can see why you are hesitant to pare down your collection.

I went on e-bay and I can manage to get the TC&S for £49 but I will be leaving it lol and I am so happy you found these and got them at such a bargin. As I am not a collevtor I wouldn't know one brand from another and so I just buy what I can (cheap form charity shops) and what I like to look at I think it's going to take some serious searching to find something of this quality at a great price you did really well

Love Dawn xx
