WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, GO SHOPPING!

The first week of December has come in with a bang! I felt I did not have one minute to myself. Friday night I had Noah so we went and played until Grandma got tired. He feel asleep at 7:30 pm and so did I.

Today, I was in my yard trying to repair the damage the winds did to my awning. I was up on a 20 foot ladder, trying hard not to fall. I was so proud of myself. Last time I was up on the ladder, I looked down and had to get rescued. I hugged that ladder and cryed until I received a phone call from my daughter, who in turn call her husband to get me down. It took months to live that one down! Thank God for cell phones. This time, I did not look down! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

I also put Christmas lights on my house and decorated my son's back house. Wow, I am tired just thinking about it. However, I need to lose weight and keep moving. Before I take the next test!

Back to the important stuff, I did get to go to the Thrift Store today. What is it about shopping for useless pieces of junk you cannot live without that makes a woman so happy? Well, at least this woman. I found tea cups! One can never have enough tea cups. Please look at that cute little leaf dish with a rose in the middle. It was calling my name.

My last plan of attack is to wrap Christmas gifts! I thought I would have had this done by now. Well, the night is young! Hope your week was wonderful! Looking forward to what God has for us next week! December week one done, December week two coming up!

Blessings, Martha

Your little rose leaf is beautiful! Thrift shopping is lots of fun, isn't it! It sounds like you have had your hands full. I've yet to put the outside lights up. I did do my Nana's outside lights for her today. It was sooo cold., only 30 degrees. I'm hoping to get to ours tomorrow. I can't decide to go white or color. I might have to go with what I have the most of. Keep your spirits up about your tests, I'm praying you get good results. Have a nice weekend and try to take a little time for yourself!

Oh what pretty thrift shop finds, Martha. Aren't they the best?! Noah sure has a nice big play room. Lucky little guy. You are far braver than I getting up on that ladder then climbing down...that's the scary part! Bless your heart - you put up your outdoor lights and your son's??? You should win an award for that!
Thank you for your kind comments on my post. Happy Christmas and Pink Saturday~hugz

Martha glad you stopped by, I have been busy on my finals, this next week is the last week until school starts back up in January. I have been so busy trying to put together my final papers, I will be able to visit more frequently soon, sorry. I hope you are doing well, I am good, not sick thank goodness, the girls are good, they are not sick either, usually around this time of year the flu and cold set in, but we were blessed to be good so far this season. I love the new holiday look of the blog.

Have a wonderful Sunday

You are a woman after my own heart! A woman can never have too many teacups. And there's nothing more fun than shopping for treasures you don't need but still have to have. :) You found some beauties.

I just had to giggle about your falling asleep right after Noah did! I've been there, done that, too. But it is such a good tired, isn't it?!?

Did you do the cross-stitch Angels Unaware? My mom used to quote that saying to me when I was young!
