TEA CUP TUESDAY NO. 44!

Hello My Very Favorite Tea Cup Ladies: Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 44. How was your week? My has been a mixed bag of feelings. I was so jazzed because I went to an Estate Sale that sold stunning Tea Cups for $4. Not just any tea cups, Shelly's and Royal Albert cups. I thought I died and went to tea cup heaven. I am going to show you one of the new $4 cups today. I was trying hard to be calm, but it was not easy. The good thing about this place, or bad, how ever you want to look at it, was the place smelled awful. A 98 year old lady lived there and no one ever visited. It was awful in there. She did save everything. It truly was like the TV show Hoarders. You just had to make your picks quickly and get out. So that saved me, from sinning because I could only get what I could hold in my hand. I knew I could never come back into the house after I left. Came home with my goodies and sterilized them quickly.




This first cup I am going to show you is one that I picked up at an estate sale for $4 today. It is a Johnson Bros., "The Friendly Village, The Ice House", Made in England. It is a beautiful gray color with the village in muted reds, greens, blues and yellows. I just fell in love with this cup, and you can't beat the price.





Cup No 2 is this beautiful black with red roses. The cup is made by EB Folby. It is one of my favorite cups. I think it is because of the white and black. Those colors are so elegant. I know I have shown you this pitcher before, I just love it and want to share it again. It is made by Royal Worcester China.





This next set is made by Castleton China. It is the tea cup and demitasse cup to match. They are both so elegant, in a cream and gold color.

NEW LOOK FOR THE NEW YEAR!

Hello Ladies: Hope everyone is well and that things are back to normal after the holidays. I have finally finished putting away all my Christmas. I thought I was never going to finish. Someone remind to cut back next year. I don't remember it taking so long to put everything away.




I have spent the week re-organizing. I am an organizing fool. I like things in order. My closet, had gotten out of hand the last couple of months. I don't know about you, but I put things in there and then I forget I have them. Today, I found a very large tote bag of vintage lace that was so beautiful. How could I forget I had this? I would have pushed the panic button, but then what? So I changed my mind and just kept looking for more treasures. Which I found, thank you very much! It feels like I am at an estate sale, but it is in my closet! How sad! Or how fun! I don't know. Believe it or not, I am very organized. I know after what I just said, it seems like a stretch, but it is true. I do just get so lazy about my closet. After all, no some sees it but me. In my own defense ( I am defending myself now, great!), before I had my craft room, I used my closet as storage for some craft items. It is very large. I must have forgot to get it all out! That's my story and I am sticking with it!




It has been a big Noah week. He had his first "sleep over", at Grandma's. (I was so tired when it was over.) He also is starting to get potty trained. I watch him today, that should be interesting. He is growing up so fast. My daughter wants me to make pirate hats for his birthday party in March. He is going to be three. So I have another project waiting for me when I have a minute or two.



The pictures today are of the changes I have made to the decor. I was reading some of your blogs today. I try to read at least 10 a day. I don't know why I even buy magazines, your homes are amazing. I don't know how you do it. Every time I visit, you have something for me to drool over.

TEA CUP TUESDAY NO. 1 AND NO. 43!

Hello My Tea Cup Loving Friends! Our first Tea Cup Tuesday of 2011. I am very excited to see what God has for us this year! My last post was straight from my heart to you. It is funny because I wrote the post thinking that only my regular followers would read it. You understand me and my foolishness. As luck would have it, I had more new visitors than I have ever had at one time. So the new followers, now think I am nuts! Oh well, such is life! (They would find out sooner or later.) I do want to thank you for all those wonderful comments you left! They touched my heart. I am having a give away this month in honor of two whole years of blogging. This pink cup, with the cute little feet and the bling are what you can win! So, I am not repeating myself, the rules on the December 31st post!



I have spent the last week putting away Christmas (almost done!) It is always a little sad to say good bye to a whole year, but we have a new one to look forward to. What joys will it bring us? Blessings and more blessings are my prayer! It was such a mixed bag last year for me! January is the month that gets decorated in White, Black, Silver and Crystal at my house. A big change from all the color that was used for Christmas. It helps bring me back to reality! White is peaceful and after last month, peaceful is good!



The cups I will show you today are my winter cups, (ok, white cups). Along with the white cups, I do add a little black & white cups too. My black and white cups do not come up very often so I am going to start today with them. (What other month can you use black & white, anyway?)




So, my first cup is this very pretty and different. It is a black and white with gold trim, Clarence tea cup from England. It has this great square, round shape. I love it, what a surprise!





These next pictures are of a English Toile set. It comes with Tea Pot, sugar and creamer, tray and cup and saucer. I love toile stuff, I don't use it enough. If you look closely, you will also notice the beautiful, white, Aynsley, Tea Pot! You can click the picture and it will get bigger. Noah was playing with the heart today and he asked what it was. So I told him it was a paper weight. He quickly took it and put it on top of all his drawing. He is just to cute!


The last picture I am sharing with you are the two white tea pots from Poland and the white cup and saucer, with sugar and creamer. Both these are vintage, Coalport. They looks like someone run the tea cup through a crinkler! I do have a lot of white cups to show you this month.
