Hello dear friends and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 266!  Hope you had a wonderful Easter with your loved ones.  Our weekend was full and mine, near perfect except for one thing, my Sciatica was out.  Most of the week I had to use a walker to move, but today things seem to be better.  I do hope you will forgive a short post today.  Sitting can present a problem for me and don't want to irritate something that has finally begun to heal.

I am sharing a Franz Teapot and Tea Cup today.  It is an amazing piece.  The china is very fine. I owned the spoon to this set as well, but broke it while hand drying it.   Oh, it hurt!  Tried to replace spoon however,  the cost was $45.00.  So, I said to myself, "Self, you have lots of other spoons."   I did not pay that for the entire set!

I am going to try to get my act together for another give away, next week.  Keep an eye out for it.  Hope you are having a wonderful week.   Here a few pictures of "fake smiles for the camera."  The Grandchildren were just too busy to take a picture.  They had so much fun.  Since Grandma was in her "happy place" they decided to do the egg coloring on my antique oak table.  Thank God for pain killers. Look forward to visiting you!  Hugs, Martha

Great 'fake' smiles. I do like that teacup and teapot, what a shame about the spoon. Maybe some day you will see one at a reasonable price.

Hi Martha,
I am so sorry to hear that you've been in pain with your sciatica. Poor you! It must have been challenging preparing for Easter. What a pretty butterfly teapot and teacup! I love the handle. How upsetting to break the spoon. I have done things like that. I absolutely adore the chintz stacked container in the background! Gorgeous! Colouring Easter eggs is such fun for all the kiddies! You are the best grandma! Happy Easter Sweet Martha and Thank You for hosting tea time! Karen

Wow, you are a cool Grandma...coloring Easter eggs on an antique table. Those "fake smiles" made me smile. I can't believe you were able to post a blog and visit me with your sciatica acting up. I did enjoy seeing your beautiful teapot and cup with the amazingly fragile embellishments, but please take care of yourself. (Too much sitting with blogging.) Hope you feel better as the week progresses.

Oh dear Martha, sciatica nerve pain is not much fun. My son, who is here with me, has chronic sciatica pain down both legs. Hope you feel better soon.
Your butterfly teapot and teacup are so pretty. Too bad about the spoon, but you made a wise decision about the spoon.
Thank you for hosting and your granchildren look happy at your antique table!!

Sorry to hear about your sciatica problems. I agree, sometimes Pain pills can be your friend. I have been having PT for a back issue.... No fun but seems to be getting better. Love that teapot and tea cup. Hope you will find a BETTER priced spoon but you are right... you have spoons!!!!!
Always sad as a special holiday comes to a close.... but another will be coming along soon.

Oh Martha, I loved the photos of the grands, regardless of whether their smiles were genuine. They are all darling.
Sorry to hear of the health problem but hope it's much better now.
Easter here was beautiful but it took me a couple of days to recuperate. take care, dear Martha. Susan

Lovely teacup and pot, and I do love that stacked chintz one in the background! Your grandchildren look like they're having fun. I still have eggs my children colored back in the day. Good memories.
I do hope your pain will be relieved. Does not sound fun at all. Like you said, pain medicine can be a blessing! Prayers for you, dear Martha.

Martha, I smiled when I read how you talked to yourself about that spoon! I've had to give myself those little talkings-to from time to time!
