GIVE AWAY AND PRETTY IN PINK TEA CUPS!

Hello Ladies!  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 267! Hope you had a wonderful week. The weather across the country has been awful and I am so sorry.  We had a couple of Earthquakes and still no rain. We might get some sprinkles at the end of the week, we hope!  I continue to feel good, for that I am so grateful to God.  I am back to trying to downsize my endless decorations.  I try to do a little every day so I won't get over whelmed.  God has been very good to me.  I have a large storage unit and my goal is to eliminate that and no longer need to have one.  (Please note, I am not a hoarder.  I just have those tendencies!)   I really have to focus, to get everything done, I get so distracted.    As I get older I have realized just how distracted I can become.  It is not pretty!

I am going to continue to share more pink tea cups this week. I think I could share pink all year long and not finish showing you all of them, (that is how bad I am!) Ok, change subject.  Here is the first cup I am sharing.  It is a vintage Lefton.  I must admit, Lefton is quickly becoming one of my top three favorites to collect. (No, change that, I have stopped collecting, now I remember.)  Who can blame me?  This cup is stunning!

My second cup is a Shelley.  How can you not love Shelley's?  Even the very simply designs are amazing! Look at the ruffles on this one.

The last cup for today is also a Lefton.  It is perfect.

I have been feeling so well, I even had the Grandchildren this weekend.  Life is good!

Thank you for your faithful following of this blog.  Please continue to pray for Terri and her son.  They are not doing well.  Here is hoping the link works.  I miss Terri, she alway did them for me. Still having a give-away, it is the first cup on the post. Please check last week's post for details.

 Hugs, Martha

Glad to hear that you are continuing to feel well. Downsizing storage units is no easy task. I feel like I keep adding to my decoration tubs after every holiday. It is too bad our hobby of collecting teacups takes up space. Your first Lefton is stunning with the red gold rim and of course a Shelley in a dainty shape always steals my heart. Cute photo of your grandchildren all dressed up! Have a wonderful rest of the week. ~Nora

Martha:
I was wondering if your 1st Lefton was from England (I figured the last one was Japan). I recently found a couple Lefton from England. I know he was a Hungarian who came to the USA in the 40's and had pieces painted in Japan and the US but have been wondering if some of the earliest were painted in England. I learn a little more all the time.

Hi Martha,

Your gorgeous pink teacups have inspired me to add "Lefton" china to my acquisitions list!

I also follow the slow and steady approach when it comes to decluttering. Doesn't it feel good to get rid of unnecessary stuff?

I am happy to hear that you are feeling better and hope that you continue in that direction. I love all your pretties that you have to share. I think my favorite would be the 3rd one; the pretty cup with the pedestal base and what looks like a rose on both the inside and outside of the cup. But then all your tea cups are all so beautiful.

Good Morning, Martha. Always fun to see your grands .. too cute! Your Lefton teacups are both gorgeous. I do not have a Lefton ... yet! :) The Shelley is wonderful, too. Happy Tea Day and thank you for hosting. Please tell Terri we miss her and wish her well.

Hi Martha,
Don't worry about being a collector. It gives us joy. Your teacup collection is something you should be very proud of (I am trying to think that about mine - Lol!)! I can see why Lefton is becoming your favourite - oh my. I love that last Lefton with the pink rose and pale pink background. The pedestal base has left me swooning! I am going to email you a pic of my two month old grand daughter. Yours looks so pretty in her gorgeous white dress! Happy Tea Day and Thank you for hosting! Karen

So glad to hear you're feeling better! My favorite is the shelley -- I've never met one I didn't like!! Please don't enter me in your giveaway since I already won one of your beautiful cups.
It sounds good to get rid of the storage unit, but don't give up all your pretties! They add such beauty to our days!
The little ones look so cute.

Blessings, Martha! Delightful to catch up with you, milady, and so sorry to hear that you have been ill. Glad to know you're mending. Of course, the Shelley is my favorite--I have just a couple of them and would love more, but they are pricey when I find them at antique shows. I have had to curtail my collecting with my book recently published and all my resources are going there. I'm so delighted to have a post for teatime. Miss connecting with everyone each week--but so much on my plate of late. Looking forward to another teatime opportunity soon!
Joy!
Kathy

Hello Martha, I adore the Lefton cup, oh how pretty! I like the Shelley too. Do you enjoy using your teacups or are they just for display? Have a good week, Martha.
