NEEDING TO START COUNTING MY BLESSINGS TODAY!

Hi Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 225!  We have had tough week.  Construction is still going, which is never easy.  I also had a water leak in my kitchen, more work for me.   I am so tried.  I feel like I could sleep all week.  My son is officially a "Hot Shot" but is was tough for him.  Please keep him in your prayers, we are on the edge of one of the worse fire seasons in years.

Here are a few cups I will be sharing with you this week. The first one is a Coalport.  Very beautiful, hand numbered cup in a rich deep blue.

I also one the demitasse to the very same cup.  It is so very cute!

The last cup I am sharing is a Lefton.  It is pottery and I believe the name is Americana Rose.  I have the matching canisters to this as well as other pieces.  I love it.

I am making this post short, because I have just had a rough two days.  A very dear friend has been very ill and is only getting worse. I have lost bracelet that was very precious to me.  My kitchen sprung a water leak, so I was with out water for 24 hours.  I won't mention the mess.  My neighbor is up set, because someone is leaving cigarette butts in front of his house and he is blaming me. No one in my family smokes cigarettes. The neighbors on the other side  of me have five chain smokers, perhaps it is the wind that is blowing the butts to his home?  Today, I feel like I could give you a list of my troubles.  My daughter came over today and in all her young wisdom, she said "Mom, if that is the worst that can happen, you are going to do all right!"  It is so true, in the the large scope of things,  these things are really petty.  I just have to trust God, one day at a time.   With her great wisdom, I will say thank you for stopping by. Remember Terri, is only posting every other Tuesday during the Summer.  So that means, the link is all up to me! Scary!   Have a wonderful week.  I am sorry for being whiney.  Sending hugs and looking forward to visiting. Martha

I think life is a question of "if it's not one thing, it's another". But I am so grateful for the reminder that "All things work together for them that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose" and that's ALL things! But life is certainly interesting sometimes, isn't it?! Hope your week turns out to be better. Lovely photos and thanks for hosting.Ruth

Dear Martha,

Your blue and white teacup is striking!

I am so sorry things have been rough for you. Hang in there. If we didn't have bad days we surely wouldn't appreciate the good days as much, would we?

Wish I were closer so I could heat up the pot and sit with you and listen and (hopefully) make you feel a little lighter. Hugs.

Thanks for hosting, ma'am! God bless.

For me it is often all the little things that go wrong & pile up that cause more distress than a big fiasco. Those are the times every which way we turn there is an irritation, a problem, something needing repair. But your daughter spoke true and I can tell you know this too.

I hope things are looking up today. And just look and smile at the beautiful teacups you have, blessings abundant !

Dear Martha, it's okay to whine. Sometimes that's just what is needed to clear the air and start again. Loving your red, white and blue posts. Perfect for the summer holidays. Give yourself a big hug.

Sending you some love from across 'the pond' Martha. Remember these wise words, 'Don't let a bad day make you think you have a bad life'. That works for me on bad days.

It just feels that things come in threes and fours and to close together! I am sorry for all the troubles you are having at once. The wisdom of your daughter is so wonderful and hope things are better soon.
Your Coalport cups and saucers are just the perfect example of the lovely shape and patterns this china company created. It is my favorite for I love blue and white. Hoe your week is better!

What is a little whiney between friends, however, I have to say she is so right in what she said. At the time it does seem like a lot but after it is said and done it is surprising what a little smile can make the tough things all go away. I love that you shared your tea cups and hosted even being such a tough couple of days. Praying without fires, have a better next couple of days
