TEA CUP TUESDAY ON 9-11!

Hello Ladies: I want to welcome you to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 131! Tea Cup Tuesday falls on 9-11. I think I will always feel different on this day. Remembering how much I cried during that awful day. So grateful we live in this wonderful country. I pray for all the families who suffered loss and can never forget how that day changed their lives forever. My son, Kyle, today tested for the Santa Monica Fire Department. He is so excited and feels like he did very well today. We should know by Wednesday. It is the desire of his heart to be a Fireman. Most people run away from fires, he wants to run toward them. Still I pray, God will give him the desires of his heart!

I have begun to move into Autumn with my home decorations. My back is improving daily and I am so grateful for all your prayers. I have been slowing changing things over, at the same time trying to get my website ready for the holidays. Still trying to adjust to my son's new school session and not sure what will happen if he gets hired.

I am sharing some of my Autumn color cups today, starting with this beautiful T. V. Limoges. I love the design on this cup. It looks very Art Deco, don't you think?
The brooch inside the cup is also a Limoges.

This next cup is a Noritake. I just love it. I am a big Noritake fan. Some of their cups are just amazing. All the dishes I am sharing today are hand painted Limoges. They are stunning in person.

Here is Mr. Linky for this week. Please take the time to visit Terri, she is an amazing woman. She does so many things. I get distracted so easy. I am like a two year old with a short attention span. I wish I could fix that about me.

Next week I will have Noah pick the winner of the Tea Cup. Don't forget all you have to do is be a follower of this blog or Facebook and leave a comment. Have a wonderful week. Hugs to you all. Martha

Hello my dear Martha,
Beautiful cups and saucers! Best wishes to Kyle in that he becomes a firefighter. My husband retired from the fire department here in Hawaii and my son is a firefighter.
So, you're having a give away? Am I too late? I would love to win anything from you!
Warm Hugs...

These are such beautiful cups. Thank you for sharing them. Thank you so much, too, for remembering that horrific day. I appreciate your son's desire to help our country by being a fireman. That is very scary, especially for a mom, but we need him!

Hi Martha,
I remember this tragic day also. I will never forget the moment we saw the tower fallen on TV-Lifecam. I hope your son will never have to attent a disaster like that.
Your cups are again beautiful. I share today a day visit in a German town with coffee break. So sorry they had no fine painted china there.
Best greetings, Johanna

Hello Martha,
I am so glad your back is feeling better! I hope it continues to improve and you are back to normal soon.
Your two cups are so very beautiful! Unique patterns too. The second one has quite the gorgeous coloring as well. I didn't know you loved Noritake! I often see them around here. But none as stunning as this beauty.
Hugs,
Terri

You must be so proud. Your heart will definitely get a workout when he makes it.

Everyone is ready for autumn, and I am still clinging to summer.

The acorn pin is very striking.

Where do you find the time to make such lovely vignettes?

Hello Dear Friend,
My son was a volunteer firefighter in our town for a couple years - while I was reporter for our small newspaper - so I was out there watching as he and the others battled the fires etc...Lots of prayer - and lots of pride. It is a very noble occupation. Now he's a Sheriff's Deputy - still lots of prayer - I am in the fall decorating mode too - it is fun to change things up. Distracted - pshhhh - I am so distracted - we just love to see and experience the beauty in the every day! I appreciate you hosting and sharing -
Hugs,
Kathy

Good morning Martha. Your tea sets are so awesome as well as the brooches!
You are such a wonderful mother, knowing the desires of your son's heart and praying for them to be so. A man is not whole until he is doing what he feels he is here to do. You are a good mother to continue to keep him in your prayers. We good mothers always keep our children in our prayers even after they are grown for we never stop being mothers. Your son is also in my prayers.
I pray we all have a wonderful day today and that our hearts will be drawn closer to God as we reflect on the remembrance of 9/11. I too cried greatly on that day and for many days after. My friend Marianne from Leisure Lane had a cousin that died in one of those buildings. Very sad day for her family and for many others.
God bless America!

Prayers to you Martha, that your back continues to heal, and to your fine son, that he finds fulfillment in his "calling". I have a brother (retired) from a big city fire department. He loved being in that line of service. My son was a firefighter in the Marine Corps, and since he's left, he's been contemplating going into a civilian Fire Department. Your teacups and the beautiful jewelry are perfectly paired! Best Regards.

Beautiful cups and saucers this week! My favorite is the Nortiake with the gold filigree. I am hoping each day brings you more healing and less pain. Your son will hopefully fulfil his dream and become a fireman. I know how you feel about your children for they are so precious to us no matter how old. Yes, many prayers are being sent to lessen the saddness for those affected personal by 9/11 and my family prayers for them, too!

Thanks, Pam
