SUMMER FUN WITH TEA CUPS!

Hello Ladies: Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 124! Hope you are all have a wonderful summer. Can you believe we are almost in August? Where does our time go? I had a virus this past week that left me very dizzy. Thank God I am feeling better. I have had the two visitors for Japan here and I have had to keep going. The little girl, Ericka, and Noah get along very well. Noah tells me he can speak Japanese now. He babbles away to Ericka, she smiles or laughs and he thinks he is talking Japanese. It is so cute to watch.

I have some fun cups to share with you this week. I know everyone is very busy and I appreciate you sharing our party during the summer. My first cup is a Royal Albert. It is called "Somerset" it is part of the Country Fayre Series. Love the vivid colors of the fruit on this cup. The tea pot is a vintage, Lefton, Hand Painted, Pink Roses. I have the whole set of this pattern.

Cup No. 2 is a R.K.W. Bavaria, Germany. They are know to have made some of the finest Porcelain pieces during the time period. It has beautiful details with gold accents. Both the handle and rim are gold trimmed. The demitasse cup is very well made with a quality that surpasses anything that is made today. I have the regular size tea cup to match this set. I don't think the pictures do this one justice.

This last cup is a Florentine, Made in England. This cup is very full with crazing, however, I just love the dainty look of this fine cup.

Here is Mr. Linky for this week. Thank you for joining Terri and I this summer.

Have a wonderful week! Hugs, Martha :)

So sorry you have been under the weather, especially with guests.

I had to zoom in on your first teacup. Now I am wondering what the others in the collection look like. You are right the colors are fabulous.

YOU take care!

I haven't felt well either, Martha. It is the pits, isn't it! Weather is terrible...heat at 109...drought...makes you feel bad period!

Love the Bavarian piece....

Hello Martha,
Your three cups here are lovely! Wow! I love the vibrant colors of the first cup. That is amazing. The second cup is stunning, as you know...I adore the coloring as well as all that luxurious gold trim! And your last little dainty white cup is very sweet and I am sure the crazing only adds to it's beauty!
Hugs,
Terri

Hi Martha,
There seems to be a lot of bugs on the go this Summer. Hubby and I were both sick the first week in July and even this evening, I'm feeling a little under the weather again.
Your teacups are lovely as usual and the first green one is quite stunning. Thank you for sharing and feel better soon, dear Martha.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi martha,
I am happy to read that you feel better. Your little guest Ericka looks so comforted with Noah. Children "understand" each other, although they speak different languages. It was surely a nice experience for Noah and you to have Japanese guests. Your cups are very pretty and as I see, you have digged out the little yellow coffee pot which I own also. Thats a very pretty little pot. Thank you for sharing all your treasures (including the kids, LOL) and for hosting this event. Have a great time,
Greetings, Johanna

Martha, your tea cups are beautiful, as always. I love, love, love that green and gold. I'd love to know how you are able to find these beauties! Hope you are feeling better. Your grandchildren are adorable, and your blog is such fun to visit and read. Have a wonderful day.

Your little grandson is so adorable!! I can just hear him chattering away and the little girl is so sweet to accommodate him. The thoughts of it just brings smiles!
Sorry that you have been feeling bad. I hate those nasty viruses. It's hard to try an entertain when you feel bad. You're such a good woman, Martha.
Oh, goodness, Martha! I LOVE YOUR TEA SETS! Especially the first one and your tea pot is a favorite! I LOVE that style of tea pot. Your sets are always magnificent. I don't think I've seen a teaset yet that I don't like.
HUGS!

I hope you're taking care of yourself and resting. A virus has a way of staying longer if you let it get you down by not resting.

Aren't grandchildren the most amazing people to spend time with? Noah is so cute.

Your teacups are beautiful, and I like the last one best. Simple, elegant, lovely.

I hope you're feeling better, Martha! Viruses are never any fun but especially annoying in summer or when you have a guest in your home.

Again, you have some extraordinary teacups! I'm so happy to have found Tea Cup Tuesday :)
