TREASURE HUNTING MY NATURAL TALENT!

Hello Ladies! Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No 72. I am so sorry about last week's Mr. Linky, I really not sure what happened. I am sure it will be better this week. I hope you are all having a great week. I have some new cups to show you this week. I tend to get stuck on certain cups I love and forget all about others. I am getting ready for a large tea party so, I am sure you will be seeing cups that I have not shown you before.

My week is very full so I am writing this on Sunday. For you Scrap Book ladies in Southern California, I have joined the yearly Shop Hop. This year plans to be extra fun. I was a part of it last year and it was amazing. If you are a Scrapper at all, look for it at your nearest Scrapbooking store, who knows we might just meet! Worth the $12 to join, you get so many perks, not to mention the fun. Here I am with Johnny! Can life get better?

Now for this week's beauties! My first cup is this stunning cream color Florentine, by Royal Ducal. This cup has an embossed floral and fruit design. It is so classy looking. I have quite a collection of cream or white cups. Totally forgot about them until recently. I will post all white next week and share them with you. I have two of these, one I am putting on my Website.

The next cup is a Shelley. The pattern name is "Heather". It doesn't look like a Shelley does it? Interesting cup, I am not sure how well I like it. I picked it up at a Thrift Store for $1.49. How could I resist? A woman has to do what she has to do! I just had to buy it! I looked it up on Ebay and it is listed for $58. Not a bad deal.

Cup No. 3 is a Sadler. I didn't even know Sadler made tea cups. I knew about Tea Pots because I have a collection of them, but tea cups was news to me. I love the shape of this cup. It works great for coffee too!

Last but not least, is this Queen Anne, pattern name "Nottingham Lace". I grow Bearded Iris so this one caught my eye. The prettiest part of this cup is the gray lace it has on the background.

Well, here is this week's Mr. Linky. I do thank you for your faithfulness once again. I have taken a few pictures of the new "color" in my home now. I have been working very hard at thinning things out around my home. This is my problem, OK, I am confessing I have a problem. I only buy things I really love, so selling them gets a little tough for me. (Is that a Hoarder statement?) Oh, no!

Be happy and don't forget to visit the Traveling "Terri", who know what wonderful treasures she has in store for us. Oh, and don't forget to visit my website please!

Hugs, Martha

It's been forever since I've been to your Tuesday tea party, and I certainly have missed it.

As always, your collections are beautiful. I especially like the Sadler teacup you have shown today. I don't have Sadler teacups either...or Sadler teapots.

Wow, quite the deal on your Shelley teacup. I never find any deals like that at the thrift stores near me. I do see Shelley teacups in the antique mall...and I always love them, but they are always horribly expensive. Usually, they are $70 or more...easily the most expensive teacups I've come across. Is Shelley the "Cadillac" of teacup manufacturers? Why are they always the most expensive?

Not sure, but I may even be linking up today. I have a new teacup to share. But I'm also going to the Family History Center (LDS church) near me to do some genealogical research, so I may not link up until later today.

Anyhow, have a wonderful day. You are in my prayers. And I know I owe you an email...expect one in the next day or so.

Love and hugs,
Patti

Hello Martha! I love your treasures today. You certainly are good at finding them! My favorite is the Sadler. The roses and flowers are gorgeous. I love the shape too. I have not seen a Sadler tea cup before either. Lucky you!
I didn't know Linky had a problem last week! I wish I had known, I would have fixed it. I am home now and will watch for troubles.

Martha, What sweet collections! I'd never be able to keep up with you! As it is, I have to shovel out about half of my possessions in the next year or two. I'm loving your teacups though and you never know what your next favorite collection will be, do you? Have a blast!

Love the green depression glass - and how you always seem to have a piece of jewelry to perfectly compliment the c&s. I entered my post on Mr. Linky - who then said he was closed!! Sigh - so here's my link - http://artfullyooglebloops.blogspot.com/2011/08/tea-on-tuesday.html
