DAZZLE THE EYE WITH TEA CUPS!

Hello dear Tea Lovers! Thank you for joining Terri and I again for another Tea Cup Tuesday, No. 66, to be exact! Hope you had a wonderful week. It was full of parties in Blogland, which is always fun. I am excited to share that Wednesday, I start watching my granddaughter, Princess Maya, for the summer. I get her once a week. It is so wonderful to be able to see her weekly, I just can't begin to share the joy I am feeling. So get ready for some pictures of her next week.

Before I start sharing my tea cups for the week, I want to show you a picture of a scrapbook, I just finished for my Mama. Did I ever tell you I scrapbook? Well, I do, and it is so much fun, but very messy. Tell me what you think? I have been thinking of adding some scrapbooks to my website. All anyone has to do is add your pictures. It seems that scrapbooking is so personal, I not sure if they would sell.

Anyway, to start with today I am going to share this wonderful Portrait Trio. It has I mark, I usually don't show marks, but I am this time in case anyone recognizes it, you can let me know. I think trio's are amazing! They are quite pricey, so I don't have a lot. I love portrait anything. Next week I will try to remember to show you my Cameo collection. They are just stunning.

This next cup is Made in Japan, by the Yokuto China Company. It is one of my all time favorites! It is handpainted. I did not add any bling, because it just did not need anything to make this cup more amazing!

These next two cups are Coalport. They are the same pattern. The only difference is one is a demitasse cup. They are a rich Royal Blue. I forgot I had them, so it was like Christmas then they came up this week. Now, I remember I have had them for years. Now, it is all coming back to me! :) (They say the memory is the first to go. Not true, I know that for a fact!)

The last cup is the giveaway cup. Next week will be the drawing. I will let Princess Maya pick. Let me know if you want your name to be added to hat! I have added a lot of pictures of paper weights, this week. You guessed it, I collect paperweights!

Here is Mr. Linky for this week. Please only included your link if it has to do with tea items. Sometimes some of you ladies forget!

Here is a teapot I have listed on my website. If you have not visited, I invite you to do that. Sign the guest list! Remember, I offer a discount to my followers, so email me and let me know what you are interested in. Have a wonderful week.

Hugs, Martha

I have never seen a TRIO...wow just stunning. I purchased a new aqua teacup this week and I am just in love with it! These are just amazing cups!!!! I can only imagine the stories they would tell. I will be interested to see if anyone has info on that unique mark.

HI Martha,

First, let me say that I love thet blog background and header. Okay, your tea things are just gorgeous. I have an old book of porcelain and china markings. I think it was printed in the late 4 0s/early 50s. It was something I picked up at a yardsale. So when I have a chance I'll browse through that book and see if I can help you identify that cup :) :)

I think your scrapbook is gorgeous :) :) You won't know if it sells, till you put it up for sale :) :) Now this is something I would definitely buy. It's gorgeous. I really love it ;) :)

Have a great week. Please enter me into the teacup giveaway :) :) Thanks :)

Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Lovely teacups - just love the blue and the white - exquisite! You should add scrapbooks - A project I am setting for myself this year is to make a scrapbook/photo album of my children to give them this Christmas now that they're all grown!

Hi Martha,
Beautiful porcelain again!
I specially liked the Coalport cups and I would have loved to see the backstamp on them.
As to the first ones with portraits of ladies, I can tell you something about that blue mark.
It is known as "beehive mark" and was used on antique Austrian porcelain...and a lot imitated, too. It represented the Royal Shield found in the crest of the Habsburg family who financed the "Imperial & Royal Porcelain Manufactory" in Vienna.
Also known as Royal Vienna, it operated between 1718 and 1864.
Porcelain bearing this mark has been very sought after by collectors, which originated lots of fakes.
I believe your cup and saucer are Austrian but not by the original porcelain factory.
Sorry for the long comment, but as you wanted to know...
Hugs

Good morning,
I just don't know a lot about teacups, but they are beautiful. I think I will learn a lot from your blog. I am follower 633, as you can see, now that you follow me, my collections have a lot to do with metal and rusty things.

Martha, your floral teacup/saucer is STUNNING! What a spectacular array of rainbow colors. I could look into that cup for hours meditating its beauty. I just love the way the yellow center bursts forth from the cooler colors...and the flowers are so pretty...I'm so happy I got to see something so lovely. Thank you, Marianne
