REMEMBERING A SPECIAL DAD AND YES, TEA CUPS!

Hello my tea cup loving friends! Hope you all had a great Father's Day weekend and are ready to share your treasures with us this week. I lost my father about 15 years ago and somehow on Father's Day, it always feels like it just happened. I wonder what would Dad say about my life now? Would he be proud of who I have become? I know for sure, he would love playing with his Great-grandchildren. Dad was a man who loved his family. His family was always first in his life. Somehow, I knew, if Dad was around, everything was going to be ok. I know because of his example, I can trust in a Heavenly Father, who will never leave me nor forsake me! I guess you realize I am still feeling a little tender about Father's Day, even yet!

So before I break into tears and someone comes in and thinks I have gone crazy, on to the tea party! The first tea cup I am going to share with you is a Adderley, from England. The pattern name is "Blue Chelsea". Love the slate blue design on this trio.

Cup No 2 is a demitasse cup. It is marked "RW", Made in Germany, US Zone. It is a simple cup with gold trim.

Cup No. 3 is an Aynsley. I am sure some of you could spot a Aynsley right away. The colors are dark blue, brown and cream. It is very pretty.

The last cup is also an Aynsley. I love that the design is in the middle of the cup. Those cups are some of my favorites. This cup is on a white background with a light blue, floral design.

Keeping with the Aynsley theme, the white tea pot is also a beautiful Aynsley. It has a stunning simple design which just makes it so special.

Did I ever tell you I like to collect "4th of July" things? Well, you guessed it I do! This week I have taken pictures of little vignettes around my house for this month. In my never ending desire to prove that I am not a hoarder! I hope you enjoy them.

Here is this week's Mr. Linky. Please remember to visit Terri as this is our 67nd
week of having tea parties!

Oh yes, before I forget, we have a winner for the Tea Cup Giveaway in honor of my new website. Drum roll please . . . Kathy from A Delightsome Life! Kathy please email me with your address and I will send you your cup! If you get a change, please visit Kathy she is delightful.

I am saying good bye with some new items I have listed on my website. Please stop by for a visit and sign the guestbook. Remember I offer my followers a discount, just email me before you pay.

Thanks for your support! Hugs, Martha

Beautiful post Martha. Your Dad looks like a fine Father to me. We do share a common thread, it seems. You lost your Dad on Father's day, and I lost my Mom on Mother's day. But, I've just always thought, what a beautiful day to go home to be with the Lord.
Blessings.

Martha, There is a lot to like about this post. I love the tribute to your father. I miss my dad too - it's been over 30 years since he passed away at the age of 52. Martha, I love the red, white and blue also - the demitasse cup set up with Uncle Sam and the decor in your dining room. You are a real "style-ista." Quite a decorator you are! You could do styling for magazine photo shoots! Thank you for hosting Tea Cup Tuesday.
Blessings, Beth

Your home is beautiful but your heartfelt comments regarding your father are very touching! I am linking up my mom's birthday celebration for tea tuesday! she is a lover of all things tea related and has passed that on to me! HOw lucky!

Martha, all of your teacups are lovely. I miss my Dad too. He passed away 16 years ago at the age of 67; too young! I still miss him terribly. A lovely tribute you have written to your Dad and I know he would be proud of who you are! Thanks for sharing.

Blessings and hugs,
