LIVING WITH TEA CUPS!

Hello my tea cup loving friends! I am so excited to do this Tuesday's Tea Cup Party. I feel like everything is getting back to normal. Last week I will just call "Psycho Week". Anything that could happen did, including unexpected guests from out of town. The network shoot went very well, it was fun to have someone so interested in my humble collections. I will not be able to tell you too much because I had to sign a paper, promising to not talk about it. As soon I know the date of airing I will let you know. It was fun taking out jewelry collections and perfume bottles and they loved my Limoges. Did I ever tell you I collect vintage hats? Well, I do and they took pictures of that too. They are going to pick up my things next month for the airing. Some of you sweet ladies thought I was going to be on the show. It is only my collections. Apparently short Mexicans are not that collectible!

After they left, I had the privilege of going to see Beth Moore. I love to hear her speak. If you ever get a chance, go. I got home late Saturday and after church on Sunday, it was Princess Maya's birthday party. (I just had to have an excuse to share her picture.) My granddaughter just turned 8! The perfect child, if I do say so myself. After the late party, I had an invitation to a friend's house, who lived near by and when I finally got home, an unexpected company arrived. Don't you get tired just reading this? That was my life last week.

Ok, I will focus! Wait, before I forget (just a little more thing off the subject), my web site was done last week. It came out beautiful! It only has one very little problem. I don't know how to use it! But it looks good, cramany (my own word, sorry!) I go to the web site and just look at it! It is so pretty! I guess I will have to learn to use it. Hopefully, one day soon, I will actually learn how to use it. I tried for 2 hours today and just got a headache! I am not a quitter, I will get it!

Ok, ok, tea cups! This is Tea Cup Tuesday No. 56! As I try to put my department store home, back in order. (The jewelry is just a small sample of what it looked like around here last week.) Here is my first tea cup. It is a Elizabethan, Staffordshire. It is the "May" cup. It is an Easter cup to me.

My next tea cup has a Crown for a signature and it reads Made in England. Not really sure what it is, but it too reminds me of Easter.

This next cup is a "Made in Japan". I don't have a lot of Japan cups. This one just says "Easter" to me. Love the pedestal cup.

The tea pot on top is an Old Foley, Staffordshire, England. Don't forget to visit Terri, she always has a treat for us. You know what to do with "Mr. Linky". I want to thank everyone who join the Tea Cup Swap. You can get your partner's name at Terri's. This is going to be so much fun. I can't wait to see everyones Easter Basket of treasures.

Hugs, Martha

PS: FEELING VERY LOVED BY ALL YOU LADIES! I WANT YOU TO KNOW I CALLED NBC AND ASKED ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO CAME TO MY HOME AND ABOUT THEM TAKING PICTURES. I WAS REFERRED TO THEIR LEGAL DEPARTMENT. THESE PEOPLE DO WORK FOR THEM AND THE SHOW WILL BE ON PRIME TIME AND MY THINGS WILL BE INSURED. I WILL BE ABLE TO BE THERE FOR THE RECORDING OF THE SHOW. I CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH BETTER I FELT. I NEVER THOUGHT THAT SOMEONE COULD HAVE JUST COME IN TO ROB ME. YOU HAVE TAUGHT ME A GREAT LESSON. IT COULD HAVE TURNED OUT REAL BAD! I LISTENED AND I CHECKED! THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME ENOUGH TO WARN ME. MARTHA

Oh Martha, I'm so excited for you. Do you think I'd ever be able to find the tv show? I'm all the way across the country from you. Hmmmmm.

Happy late birthday to your sweet little Maya. She's darling.

I'm happy I had a tea cup to share---newly found!

Excited about your new website, too. Is it almost ready to open? Take care, dear Martha. Susan

Martha, your lily of the valley teacup is beautiful!! They smell so sweet... we had them growing in the backyard of our first house.
My mom collects perfume bottles too. You two would have a lot to talk about.
I LOVE your Christmas tree pin collection. I collect those too! I see one or two that I have, but the rest are all different. How do you display yours?
I was reading your comments about the people who came to interview you about your wonderful collections. I think it's lovely that they came and took pictures!! But may I ask a question? Why would they have any need to take your things somewhere else? Anyone wanting to remove my collections from my property would make me suspicious. I obviously am not there and don't know these people, and I truly hope they are legit, but please be careful.

PS- I hope I didn't offend you with my post. I guess I am just hyper-sensitive to scams right now... I had a cousin who was scammed out of thousands of dollars two months ago.

Martha I am happy for you about the TV network airing your collectibles. I am also concerned, because they are picking your stuff up. I am used to seeing things filmed on location. I am reminded of a story in the Bible about King Hezekiah showing the King of Babylon all his treasures. Then Isaiah told him Babylon would carry off all that was in his house. Please check this TV network out.
Many Blessings.

I just love both the violet and lilly of the valley cups. So pretty. I could not help but notice the beautiful yellow plate with the pink roses on it. I have one very similiar and it is one of my favorites. My Grandmother gave it to me years and years ago.

I so enjoy your blog and sharing of your wonderful collections. ( I also have oddles of old hats that were my moms. Borrowed them one day for a volunteer banquet themed Hats of to our Volunteers and when I left dad said " Don't bring them back." So I became the proud owner of all my mothers hats. Sure was fun remembvering them years ago when I was a little girl. I had no idea mom had them all .

Thank you for visiting and following my Blog . Glad to have you there.

Martha, I'm so happy your beautiful collections are having this wonderful recognition! Your collections are awesome! They are a reflection of your love of beauty and your good taste, too. I love to watch Beth Moore on TV, but I've read only two of her books and didn't care for them. Isn't that weird?! I guess I will try again, because I probably just haven't hit the ones that would really speak to me. Love all your violet teacups and the sweet little tray! Bess
