BELIEVE IN YOUR DREAMS!

Hello Tea Lovers! Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No.48! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that your favorite football team won. Our day was fun and loud here at home. I loved that Darth Vader commercial. The little boy reminded me of Noah.

I have big news! I am excited to tell you that at long last, I am working on my own web site. I have always wanted to have a brick and mortar store of my own. It looks like this is a close as I am going to get. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy about my new adventure. It is a dream come true for me. I am hoping that by next month, I could be open for business! The plan is to start with just thinning out some of my collections. That will keep me busy for sometime. (You will not be able to call me a Hoarder anymore!) I want to selling my things to you! Please wish me luck, I have so much to learn. I am a little afraid, (ok, very afraid), I don't want to fail, I want to make a profit (very important). I am told it is a lot of hard work. However, it has been a long time desire of mine my heart and I am not afraid of hard work. Ebay fees are killing me and I just cannot get a hang of the Etsy site. Please pray I can learn what I need to learn. If you have any suggestions, PLEASE let me know. I know nothing!

Enough about my dreams, on to the tea cups! Have you noticed we have had a lot of new ladies who are sharing their treasures? It has been so much fun to watch. You never see the same cup on any Tuesday. The way you ladies fix your pictures, they can make you drool (at least I do). This little black cup is a Lefton, too cute! I have had it forever, I don't even remember where I picked it up. Love the little legs.

My next tea cup is one of my all time favorites. It is a Taylor & Kent. I purchased this at an Estate Sale in Pasadena a few months ago. I have told you before that my limit is no more than $10 per tea cup, this cup was $6. I was going to put a piece of bling next to it, but I just could not. It stands alone in it's beauty.

I love tea cups so much, I bet you are thinking this chick is "weird". I guess I am. I am just hooked on tea cups. Look at this next one. It is a Royal Chelsea with amazing pink roses and the painted gold all over the cup. Look at that handle! Too cute!

What about this red and gold Royal Stafford? I paid $6 for this cup too! Did you notice the pedestal base? It is shaped like a crown. The pin in this cup is vintage and hand painted on a piece of porcelain. It is beautiful close up.

NEW LINKY, WORKING ON FIXING PROBLEM. YOU HAVE TO CLICK THE LINK TO SEE THE LIST. SORRY!

I took more pictures of tea cups than I should have so I am stopping here. I know I am running late with "Mr Linky", my day got away from me. Remember to keep that sense of Romance in your home. Thank you so much for joining our party. I love visiting you and I always love to stop by for some tea.

Hugs! Martha

Are those gorgeous or what! Royal Chelsea & Royal Stafford are some of my favs! Congrats on starting the website. It's a lot of work, but I have found it a great thing. A great improvement over the bricks & mortar we had for years. I love the online world!

I wish you luck with your new website Martha! My cousin and I have been trying to decide if we want to expand our booth business into online sales as we've already had people inquire about purchasing things they see on our blogs. It's a bit overwhelming though. I don't want to do Ebay and Etsy looks complicated to me. Just another thing to learn! I will be very interested to hear how it goes with you.

Your tea cups are as pretty as ever! I hope all is well with you and your family!

Hello Martha,
this are amazing news. I wish you luck with your business. Won't it break your heart, to sell some of your pretty cups? I don't think it is so difficult to have that online-business. It is always easy to learn things, to need and love to learn.
Your todays cups are so outstanding nice. I love the little black one with the tiny feet, the Taylor & Kent cup with the modern rose which remind me somehow to the expressionists. And also the Royal Chelsea with that pink roses is very nicely designed. The Royal Stafford cup with its deep rich red looks really royal. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful treasures and for hosting this sweet event.
Greetings, Johanna

Martha, as usual, your tea cups are beautiful. I completely agree with you on not putting bling with the lovely teacup, it does well all by itself. I hope your new venture is a blast AND profitable. How can it not be, with your collection?

Martha, your cups are lovely. The Lefton cup/saucer is so beautiful. I really like the scenario panels painted on it.

On your Royal Stafford I thought the portrait cameo of the girl was actually painted on the inside of the cup! It should be - don't your think?

About your dreams - Go for it! I am...and I understand not knowing much about the computer, but you will learn as you go. No one would help me with my blog (sometimes I need my hand held), so I sat myself down after months of procrastination and did it. I still don't know how to use everything on the site to its fullest, but I just do what I can.

I know about wanting to make a profit, it's important to me, too, if I'm ever to be able to do what I am more suited for. You will. I encourage you to follow your dream by taking one step at a time, and by trusting in God.

God bless you on your venture,
Marianne

Sorry I added my name to Mr. Linky, I did it before I realized it was already there. Didn't mean to 'hog' the list - tee, hee... Always pays to look before you leap.

I am blown away by all your cup - but I think my favorite is the Royal Stafford.
Best wishes and best of Luck on your new e-store. I say a prayer or two that the demands of having such a store is not more than you can handle.

Good luck with your new endeavor! I hope it all works out for you. I had to close my booth at the Antique Co Op...too much work when you already work full time!
Now onto the tea cups! I am swooning over the black one with the couple on it!! I love black and whenever i find a tea cup with one of those couples on it, I buy it.
The others are also very charming!

Loved looking at all your startlingly attractive things, dear Martha. Oh that little girl pin had me fooled. At first glance, I thought she was painted in the bottom of the cup. ha! You took great pictures.

I'm so excited about your website! Does that cost a lot of money, Martha? Ohhhh, so much to learn, isn't there? Take care. Hugs to you.Susan

Good luck with your online store! The only failure is in not trying in the first place. I had an eBay store for a year until they increased my fees CONSIDERABLY. I still post auctions from time-to-time, but the store is closed.

Love your teacups!

Martha, I'm so excited for you following your dreams. I'd love to do that, too, sometime :) :) My only advice would be to do get PayPal. All of my friends who have online-stores have PayPal.

Your tea cups are beautiful!!! All so different. I'd have to say the red really caught my eye. Remember, red is my favorite color ;) :) Nope, I think your perfectly normal with your love of teacups ;) :) You always present so beautifully..and I LOVE all the bling, too :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
