DO YOU HAVE SOMEONE ON YOUR CHRISTMAS LIST THAT IS HARD TO BUY FOR?!

I have someone very special that I look all year long for a gift. This person, who I love deeply, has everything and is very particular about everything. She will always say she does not need anything. "Spend your money on yourself and I will be happy!" How can you do that to the best Mother in the whole world? I have always given her the gift, I thought she would enjoy and she always thanks me for being so thoughtful. However, "Meja, do you have the receipt?", always seems to follow. The best laid plans of mice and men! I purchased her gift yesterday. I made a decision not to leave the store until my Mother had a Christmas gift! Three hours later, we had success! Give her a gift certificate, you say! No, that will not work with her, she prefers presents. She loves to open them up! She looks so cute doing it, you just have to love her! So, Mom, here's hoping!

I am still putting Christmas things up. You know I have 3 bins of Nativity Sets, could not find one. My daughter, Vanessa, has used the basement for storing some of things for about 4 years. When she moved, my sweet, precious son-in-laws, moved everything. So now, I do not know where my things are. Oh, well, I am sure I will find them by next Christmas. I did have everything in order by months in the basement. So now I have to start all over again. Thank God for January and a new beginning.

I took some pictures of a few things I have been working on. The Christmas stockings were all made by me, when I was more together. (Those were the days, my friend, we thought they would never end!) Have a great week! Blessings, Martha

WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS, GO SHOPPING!

The first week of December has come in with a bang! I felt I did not have one minute to myself. Friday night I had Noah so we went and played until Grandma got tired. He feel asleep at 7:30 pm and so did I.

Today, I was in my yard trying to repair the damage the winds did to my awning. I was up on a 20 foot ladder, trying hard not to fall. I was so proud of myself. Last time I was up on the ladder, I looked down and had to get rescued. I hugged that ladder and cryed until I received a phone call from my daughter, who in turn call her husband to get me down. It took months to live that one down! Thank God for cell phones. This time, I did not look down! Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

I also put Christmas lights on my house and decorated my son's back house. Wow, I am tired just thinking about it. However, I need to lose weight and keep moving. Before I take the next test!

Back to the important stuff, I did get to go to the Thrift Store today. What is it about shopping for useless pieces of junk you cannot live without that makes a woman so happy? Well, at least this woman. I found tea cups! One can never have enough tea cups. Please look at that cute little leaf dish with a rose in the middle. It was calling my name.

My last plan of attack is to wrap Christmas gifts! I thought I would have had this done by now. Well, the night is young! Hope your week was wonderful! Looking forward to what God has for us next week! December week one done, December week two coming up!

Blessings, Martha

CHURCH DECORATING IS DONE!

I have been busy crossing off the to do list for this week. Watched Noah Monday and Wednesday and I will care for him again tomorrow. Took my tests on Tuesday, hated it. Today I decorated the church and talked to my doctor about the results of Tuesday's test. Still waiting for more tests. It looks like I am save for this weekend at least, I hate tests. I will probably have them done next week, which is fine with me.

I went with Noah to get his hair cut, always a pleasure to watch. I also did a few hours of shopping for Christmas. I am almost done. I plan to wrap what I have tomorrow. Just to make sure I did not buy some people two gifts and others none. I have been know to do that. I keep the list in my head, which is the biggest problem. I think I am done, then the wrapping is finished, I find my mistakes.

Just found out I am going to see Michael Buble in April. I am so excited. I told you this week we were going to hit the grown running! My sister, Melinda, called and she is already working on the Christmas menu! I think all I have to do is donate money! She wants to do the cooking, yeah! I have posted a few picture of some Christmas decorations I am still working on. I will fuss around this home until Christmas Eve!

I have been feeling very tired. Please pray for me, I need to lose weight and I don't want them to find Cancer. I know with God nothing is impossible. All I need to do is trust and obey. I must admit, sometimes that is hard to do. Love you all, Martha
