CELEBRATING FATHERS WITH TEA CUPS!

Hello Ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 311!   Hope you had a wonderful weekend celebrating the Father's in your life.  Our family was in the pool for the day with a wonderful barbecue.   It was over 100 degrees in Pasadena, it was hard to stay cool out side.

I am going to share some vintage Father's Day cups today.   Father's Day is a mixed bag for me, we have wonderful fathers in the family, but mine has long since gone to be with the Lord.  He was a good man and I will never stop missing him.  He had the best smile.

Both these vintage cups are German.  Don't you just love the pink one?

I will not be posting next week, I plan to spend some time in San Francisco. You may have guessed I am a wreath lover.  This is a wreath I made a couple of years ago, still looks good!

My grandchildren have already begun to enjoy there summer, here they are in San Diego at Legoland! It is part of their "no bummer summer."  Times have changed, when I was a girl, many moons ago, one special trip was planned.  Now, these kids have endless special spots to travel to.  We will be traveling together to San Fransisco.  Have a wonderful week.  Stay cool!  Here are the parties I am joining this week.  Hugs, Martha

Martha, you have wonderful cups to share and honor parents. SF is a great city to visit. Great photos of your family and Legoland. Wish there was one closer to the midwest. Jill

It's hot here in Texas, too, Martha, and the pool is the way to cool off for sure. Your "Father" cups are sentimental to be sure, and I love the pink one, also. Ÿour grandkids look lim they're having fun. Enjoy your time in San Francisco with them. Thanks for hosting, Martha!

Dear Martha, I hope it's okay for me to share some of my prettier projects from the last week. I do love your Fathers Day cups, especially the pink one, although I giggled at pink for a Dad! Enjoy San Francisco! Mimi xxx

Dear Martha,
the Fathers cups are so special. I imagine theat each was a present of a loving child to its father. The have their own memories. Would be nice if they could talk! You are right, kids have today so many nice events. But its so charming to see how your grandkids grow up and are happy. I wish you all to have a great time.
Best greetings, Johanna

Hi Martha,
I love your Father themed teacups. So vintage. I have had a sad weekend Martha - my 95 year old mother went to heaven on Sunday. She is now out of her pain and suffering and is in a better place. Thank you for hosting Tea on Tuesday! Blessings, Karen

I am quite smitten with the red Father cup. I have never seen anything like these before. I am especially close to my dad, and had the privilege of taking care of him for several days, when he came to visit for Father's Day, and unexpectedly became ill. Anyway, thanks for sharin g these!
Blessings,
Heather
