COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS!

Hello Ladies!  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 207, our first for March!  Hope everyone had a good week.  As you may have heard, it rained in California.  L.A. people just do not do well in the rain, so I am grateful it has slowed down for now.   Driving is a big problem for us, we don't know how to slow down.  With everything that is happening across the nation due to weather, we freak out over 5" of rain. Not quite sure what is wrong with this picture, but it is true.

This weekend I had all my children at our home.  You can see by the picture, Noah does not look good. We had a very bad scare with him.  Noah had a headache for two days.  On the second day, he was taken to the doctor after hours because medicine would not take it away and he was getting sick to his stomach.  Urgent care sent him to the hospital's ER.  They put in an IV, in case, he was dehydrated and to take blood and test for infections.   He was giving an injection for pain, but the headache did not get better.  It was determined he did not have a a migraine and no sinus infection.  Next thing they did was a CAT scan.  He is only 5 years old.  Was it a tumor or an aneurysm, we were not sure what they were looking for?  After a  l o n g  wait, that test came out clear however,  the headache  was still severe and stomach problem still existed.  After midnight, they ordered a spinal tap, they are now looking for meningitis, another  l o n g  wait!   Finally, around 2:30 am, he was released. Increased medications had begun to work, Noah had a very bad virus.  With the pain under control, Noah finally fell asleep. The family on the other had all wanted and needed to be sedated. It was the longest day of our lives.  I just praise God that Noah was ok.  It seemed in a moment our lives had changed.  Just a reminder to hold our loved ones close, things can change in a moment's in time.

This week I am sharing some green tea cups.  It is March after all and St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner.  My first cup is designed by Roy Kirkham, made in England, pattern name Redonte' Roses.  I own a few pieces of this set, including the teapot.  Love the large rose design.

The second cup is an R.S. Prussia.  A stunning cup, the pictures do not do it justice.

The last cup is a Coalport. It has this beautiful bouquet of flowers inside the cup, so very pretty.

Terri and I always look forward to seeing your beautiful tea cups.  We never get tired of looking at your creativity.  I appreciate each and everyone of you.  In case no one has told you today, "You are special!"
Note:  If anyone got weird emails from me this week, I was hacked.  So very sorry, I think I fixed it.

Hugs, Martha

Hello Martha,
Oh I am so sorry to hear about Noah's illness! What a lot that boy has been through! I am so relieved to hear that he is on the mend. And that what he had was not long term. That must have been a nasty virus.
Good riddance I say!
Martha, you must need a day of rest by now. I hope you get it.
I will keep your family in my good thoughts and prayers.
All your cups are gorgeous. I have the rose cup myself. I love it too. I adore your Prussian cup! I am in love with every bit, especially the simple handle in blue.
Hugs,
Terri

Poor Noah! I hope he fully recovers soon. There is a lot going around...my honey had viral pneumonia last week, and the dr said it's been a bad season all up and down the coast. Maybe the rain will clear things out a bit. Lovely teacups. Thanks for hosting and will pray for Noah.

Dear Martha....

Thank the good Lord that Noah is okay. Oh, Praise Him. That sweet little boy is soooo precious.

Loved the rose cup and the rose painting behind it.

As a matter of fact, the big statue near the piece of furniture in the first photo is gorgeous too. Love statuary of any kind, especially in my garden or yard.

Hope your week goes well, Martha, and that you, and all the family, get caught up on lost sleep. Bless you all. Susan

P.s. Sorry that I made an error the last time I wrote this so I deleted it and started over.

Oh - such a scare with your sick little one and all those frightful tests! So glad they got it under control - viruses are so vile these days! Beautiful cups this week - as usual - and yes - that second one is a stunner!

Did you get my message about the spam emails I've been getting from you? Don't know what you can do about it. I've been deleting them. So sorry.

Joy!
Kathy

Hello Martha! It has been forever since I have been by for a visit. I am afraid I have neglected my blog and blog friends the last year and a half. Poor Noah. I am so very glad to hear he is feeling better and on the mend. So many people seem to be getting very sick this cold/flu season. I can completely understand the need to sedate the family! It's so scary when the little ones are sick. I enjoyed seeing your pretty treasures once again! I still have the 2 pieces of milk glass you gave me, they stay out year round so I can enjoy them. Wishing you a Happy Spring!

First of all, thank you for stopping by my classic film blog. It was so nice to hear from you. Since abandoning my Fill My Cup with Beauty blog to focus on my classic film blog, I've missed "seeing" my tea-lovin' friends. I really appreciate that you made it a point to stop by.

Next, I am so sorry about Noah. Praise God he is on the mend. I truly can relate to what you were going through. When my daughter (now 24)was 17 months old, she had a series of 5 grand mal seizures in about a 4-hour period. They did brain scans (looking for a tumor), a spinal tap (meningitis and encephalitis), and an EEG. All tests came back clear, and it was determined that she had probably had a reaction to the MMR immunization she had recently had.

After a long, dreary winter, I am starving for green, so your bottom teacup really gets my heart beating. It's beautiful.

Have a great day.

Love,
Patti

P.S. I did get strange emails from you, but I assumed they were spam, and I just deleted them.
