WE HAVE A WINNER OF THE TEA CUP!

Hello Ladies!  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 192!  As I visited your wonderful blogs last week, I have noticed many of you have Thanksgiving Decor and some have Christmas Decor up in your homes.  For ladies like me, it takes a long time to get my home ready for the holidays.  This is my favorite time of year and I like to have it up as long as I can.  So I said all that to say, my home is half Thanksgiving and the beginning of Christmas Decor.  My Grandchildren are just not sure what holiday I am getting ready for.  I don't know about you, but my calendar gets very full for the Holidays and I don't want to miss a thing!

Before I start sharing cups, I want to tell you a funny story.  I call it "Love Hurts!"  My Sophia spent the night this weekend.  As we are getting ready for bed, she leans over to give me a big hug.  We both miss judged the incoming embrace and her head hit my front teeth.  I was sure I was going to lose my tooth.  Luckly my son was home and he assured me that I was just going to have a fat lip.  I was trying not to cry because it hurt so much.  I did not want to make Sophia feel bad, who's only remark was "ouch".  She was just trying to give her Grandma a big hug.  My lips got huge and they were so tender to the touch. Between having a bag of ice on and off my lips, Sophia kept kissing me on the lips, because she thought I was puckering up for a big fat kiss, when in reality my lips were just getting bigger. How could I say no?  Oh the pain!  This picture only shows it at the first stage of swelling.

I am sharing red cups this week, with the first one being a Royal Stafford from England.  I just love the deep red color of this cup.  It is so beautiful.

Cup No. 2 is a Royal Grafton from England as well.  It has the same shape as the Stafford.  The hot pink rose is just a surprise in the middle.

The last cup is a Carlton Ware, also English. Carlton Ware is one of my favorite manufactures.  Everything they make is so delicate, this cup is no exception.

I am pleased to announce we have a winner of the tea cup.  Congratulations to Karen of  Karen's Cottage and Castle.  Please email me with your address and I will send it to you. Thank you to all who have followed my blog so faithfully.

Noah and Mommy enjoying a Mother - Son Dance at school.  Once again here is the link with fingers crossed. Have a wonderful week!    Hugs, Martha
JUST HEARD FROM TERRI.  HER FRIEND HAS LOST HER SON.  TERRI WILL NOT BE POSTING THIS WEEK.  PLEASE PRAY FOR ADAM AND THE FAMILY.  I ALSO ASK THAT YOU PRAY FOR TERRI, THAT GOD WOULD GIVE HER THE WORDS TO MINISTER COMFORT TO HER FRIENDS!

Hello Martha dear - I am so sorry I have been absent from the "tea world" of Blogland so long. Fall is a crazy time of year for me, busiest one of all.

FIRST let me say congrats to the lucky winner. Then to say OUCH, indeed - oh that fat lip, you poor darling!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love your beautiful red tea cups, too. I like to stay AUTUMN as long as possible, too, because I host Thanksgiving dinner, and because we get SO inundated with All Things Christmas that I don't like to rush it. I don't and probably will never put Christmas up until after Thanksgiving.

As for Terri - I know she lives in Ohio - and an acquaintance of mine just lost her son too. Do you know if this friend is from Marblehead, by chance?

Anyway, Terri is missed, too, since I have been away from tea. If you talk with her tell her HI from me.

Hugs.

Oh I am so sorry for your accident on your lips. I know it is so sore and really hurt during all the kisses. Hope you are feeling better.
The gorgeous cups and saucers in all the red and gold are perfect for a Christmas tea tIme. My favorite is the first cup and saucer. Have a great week!

Congratulations to the winner of the beautiful tea-cup ! I am sorry about your lip, but all in the name of grandmotherly & granddaughterly love. I hope the swelling has gone down by now.

The red teacups are so lovely and flat out stunning. I especially like the Royal Grafton teacup.

Thank-you for hosting this event so faithfully Martha. You & Terri are such good hostesses. Sometimes though, life requires us to attend to what is most important, and I am glad Terri is with someone who needs her.
