WISE MEN STILL SEEK HIM! TEA CUP TUESDAY NO. 145
'He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds' Psalm 147:3
Our Tea Cup Tuesday Community, sadly once again, must mourn together for an unthinkable loss. The pain seems almost unbearable, and I am across the Nation. Our families gathered this weekend to celebrate the 16th birthday of my beautiful niece, Rachel. All the small children were running in between the adults and the grown children were enjoying the fellowship of friends and family. As adults, we were so aware that for many, this normal activity would never be the same again for the families in that small community.
I do know we serve a great God, who will comfort those who mourn; who sees the beginning and the end; who knows "Why?" Every family in one way or another is touched by mental illness. This only makes us more aware of how much we need to help individuals and families who are in need of our understanding, not judgement. More than anything our Nation needs to turn its eyes back to God. Many of you have already shared your hearts about what happen, I imagine that many more of you will share your heart this week. Remember that Jesus is our "Prince of Peace," and nothing is too difficult for Him.
I am sharing this special cup this week that expresses my wish for all of us, "Merry Christmas."
Of course a Christmas Tea would not be the same without the traditional "Spode" Christmas cup.
Sorry about missing last week and the somber tone of this post. I have been a "party animal" lately and on the other, I just had to share my feelings with you. Here is Mr. Linky for this week. Special thank you to Terri, who is always so faithful.
Sharing some Christmas Tree pictures today. I have been lucky in that last year's Christmas Tree appeared in a magazine, hoping for the same for this year's tree. Sending extra hugs to all of you this week. Love, Martha

Hello dear Martha,
Folks are feeling deeply around the world over the tragedy in Connecticut. God bless those families and somehow bring them peace and comfort.
Your Spode teacup is very sweet. Have a beautiful Christmas with your family and friends, my friend.
Christmas blessings,
Sandi
So pretty!
I apologize for not actually sharing a tea CUP, but I did share two teapots that have red and green on them!
Happy Tea Tuesday, Martha!
Thanks for hosting.
Thank you dear Martha for the tea party. Everything is so pretty. I just shared a C'mas teaset in our den with some cookies. Although the tragedy in Conn. has casted a shadow on the holidays, I still need to think of our little one and that brings my spirits up again. Wishing you and yours a blessed holiday season dear Martha.

Hello Dear Martha...
The sorrow here is profound. You are so right to focus on the goodness of the Lord. That's the only place to be these days, in His safe and protective embrace.
Your photos are lovely.
I know you will hug your "nietos" even more this Christmas. We are blessed to have our families. Susan
Hello Martha,
It is good to have you back : )
I can understand the somber mood. There really are no words to express enough sympathy for such an event. My heart and prayers with all touched by this.
Your cups are lovely, as well as your trees, and most of all...your niece. Happy Birthday to her!
Hugs,
Terri

Good Morning, Martha. There just are no words to express the mourning of a parent or a nation.
It just isn't Christmas without the Spode Christmas tree!
Beautiful nativity and Christmas tree.
Thank you once again for hosting. Happy Tea Day.
Thanks Martha for your heartfelt words in this time of sadness. Your Christmas tree tea cups are beautiful. How nice that your tree was featured in a magazine.
So glad you are having Christmas excitement and a Birthday Party for your niece. The Christmas cup is very old and special and of course Spode cup and saucer is always a perfect choice. The tragedy at Sandy Hook is on my mind and I know how several elementary children are for I was a secound grade teacher. Too Much Saddess to comprehend! Thanks for sharing and we missed you last week! Pam
Thank you for your special words today.

Beautiful Martha! Merry Christmas to you & your Family! I look forward to following you in 2013.
