TEA CUP TUESDAY NO. 136 AND STILL GOING STRONG!

Hello Ladies! Here we are again, ready for Tea Cup Tuesday No. 136! Hope your week has been wonderful. I am looking forwarding to peeking into your homes and looking at those beautiful tea cups. Tea Cup Tuesday gives me a chance to look at your Autumn decorating. You ladies have some amazing homes! I have been busy making costumes for my family. So far I have one Darth Vater, a Princess Lia, a Jedi and I have just been asked to do one more. On top of that I am in charge of our 90th Anniversary at church. It is a big event that will happen this weekend. I get tired just thinking about it.

Sharing tea cups today gives me the perfect reason to relax. My first tea cup is this wonderful, vintage Rosenthal, Elfenheln, Kronach-Germany Vickoria, pattern name, Konfetti. It is an amazing cup, looks very 1950. The cup is demitasse.

My second cup is also German. It is a Hermann Ohme Silesia Handpainted, cup and saucer. The gold design on this cup is just beautiful. I think the handle is just stunning.

My last cup is a Spode from England. The pattern name is Buttercup. It was given to me by my friend Sharon. It always reminds me of her. It has a basketweave right in the middle of the cup, plus the design continues on the handle. Just perfect!

Here is Mr. Linky for this week! Can't wait to see what Terri has in store for us.

Did I ever tell you I collect Carnival Glass? Well, you guessed it, I do! Here are a couple of pieces. I will show you a lot more next week. I also want to thank you for following me on Facebook and Pinerest! I am so hooked on Pinerest, I have to time myself or I could spend hours just drooling over the beautiful items. It is like getting your favorite magazine every day. If you have not discovered Pinerest, take a peek at mine. Just click the button and you will be in another place and time. Don't say I did not warn you! Have a wonderful week.

Blessings, Martha

Milady Martha! Joy to you and how lovely to be visiting again after a six week absence. Quite swallowed up with work in a new season I'm in - hope to regain my balance and get back to Blogland more regularly.

You always have the most amazing colors in your posts - so vibrant! Love your Spode!!

Joy!

Hi Martha,
you are pretty busy, I guess. So nice that you have still time for showing us your collection. I am amazed about the German cups. They are both so nice. And the Buttercup set reminds me to pumpkins. Its so perfect for those days. Thank you for sharing your treasures and for hosting this event.
Best greetings, Johanna

Hi Martha,
You always have such beautiful teacups! I was so delighted to see your "buttercup" teacup. Last week I found the creamer in that pattern at a thrift store. It is so very pretty and will keep an eye out for a teacup to match! Thank you for hosting your lovely party.

Hi Martha!
Your teacups and carnival glassware are so pretty. I had a steaple jar similar to yours. It was my mothers and she said that she won it in school..for something(I don't remember what) What a wonderful prize.

One wonders where you find all of these beauties. It is so nice when someone gives us a treasure, and we can think of them every time we use it.

As always, love your post and seeing your collection pieces.

I was in Indianapolis with my tea friends 2 weekends ago and we went thrifting and one of them found 6 stunning Carnival Glass sorbet glasses - in perfect condition.

As we were getting out of the car she dropped the bag.

Ugh, can you imagine? At least she was thrifting - these were a steal for what she paid, but ended up 3 broken! Dang!

I LOVE tea! And love your blog! I've made several tea cards & have them posted on my craft blog. At the moment I'm collecting Mary Engelbreit for my kitchen -- I have over 18 ME coffee mugs and 6 teacup/saucer sets that I've picked up here and there at thrift shops and flea markets. I also found a ME cake plate, but one of those bull-in-a-china shop guys of mine broke the stem yesterday by throwing something heavy against it. When I found it, I about cried! I glued it back together, so I'm crossing my fingers & hope/pray it stays together! :)

Hi, dear Martha: I surly love your wonderful round cups today. The first does look like the '50s' with vintage buttons on them. The gold is so perfect for this time of year. The Carnival Glass is GORGEOUS!
It sounds like you have been a very busy lady. I can not believe that your granddaughter is ONE already! Your grandchildren are always such a delight. I'm sure their costumes are great and I can't wait to see pictures of them. And Happy Anniversary to your church.
Hugs and God bless,
Brenda
