TEA CUPS WE LOVE!

Hello Ladies: Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 63! I am so late in posting today, sorry. I was sick last week and today I had Noah, (need I say more!) These next couple of weeks are filled with Finals and more Graduations in our family. I, at long last, will be opening my website next week! I am so happy. It is not all filled with treasures yet, but a good start I think. I have learned so much, I would not be surprised if you could smell hair burning from your house! It has kept me so busy I have only been able to post once a week. I hope that will change. I love blogging. When I feel french fried, I like peeking at your sites. I did that this past week because I was sick. Once you get started it is hard to stop. You are amazing!

This month's tea cups will be mostly in red. I love to have red, white and blue during June and part of July. It gets me in the mood for BB Q's and fire works. So, I am starting with a snack plate. It is a fairly recent purchase, just last year I think. It is a Royal Albert, "Lady Hamilton". Great rich colors.

This next cup is from Falissy Pottery in England. It is Red Transfer ware "Thames River Scenes." It is my goal to get a whole set of Red Transfer ware. I think it is so beautiful. I have seen a lot of ladies share this pattern. I covet every time.

The next cup is a Carlton Ware from England. It is a deep, red color with a gold leaf interior. Beautiful! Did I ever tell you I collect vanity jar ladies? Well, I do and this one is gorgeous. She opens just under that first layer of ruffles. This vintage beauty was purchased at an Estate Sale last month. I just had to have it.

The next cup is a Konigl pr Tet tau, Germany. US Zone. The trio is a cream and Burgundy color.

Well ladies, you know what to do with Mr. Linky. Again sorry about being late today. Terri's post is up and ready. She beat me today!

The top cup is not a cup at all, but a bouillon cup. I have a whole set of these. I have never used them. I can just hear my kids now! If I were to put these on the table, the harassment I would receive. I think they will go up on my website. They are so dainty, it is hard to let them go. The cup is a Johnson Brothers, England. If I don't start thinning these cups out, my oldest daughter will put it all in a yard sale for 50 cents each, when I am gone. (Ouch!)

I know we have had very bad weather these last few months. Many homes have been lost and lives have been changed forever. If you would like me to post some prayer requests, I would be happy to. I know that a lot of my followers are woman of prayer. I am sure we can all do that for you. Just email me. These tea cups are fun to look at, but as Christians, we do have things that must come first. One is to bear one another's burdens. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Martha

PS: I CANNOT SEEM TO LEAVE COMMENTS THIS WEEK. I THINK BLOGGER IS HAVING A PROBLEM. I AM VISITING EVERYONE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM OR IT IS SOMETHING I HAVE TO FIX. THANKS, MARTHA

Martha,
You have some of the most lovely tea cups! I love the Royal Albert. I may be getting to visit an outlet for that company soon. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Many pryers do go out to the families having horrible weather and life changing disasters. It is so hard to imagine what these people are facing. I am praying for Mother Nature to settle down too. Thanks for having us.

Dear Martha,
I love your reds. I have two very much like your first two.

I have posted a follow up on egg coddlers today because so many people asked me how to use them. I live about ten miles from Joplin and life is very stressful here.Even without losing home or family, just being near this much sorrow hurts. I am still trying to reach people I know without getting an answer. So many daily things are just gone like our doctors' offices and churches as well as businesses we use. Today's weather forecast is for possibly more of the same.

I look forward to your website...C

Hi Martha,
Your tea cups are lovely, as always! I do have a weakness for red transferware however, so I'm loving yours!

I haven't been able to post or comment the past few days. I can't even log in, so, you're not alone. Yours is the first blog I've been able to comment on. I hope things will get back to normal soon.

Blessings,
Sandi
