WHERE WOMEN CREATE!

WELCOME TO MY LITTLE SPACE! I hope you enjoy your visit.

I was so excited to be a part of this party. I was at the first party and it was so much fun. This is where I create. What do I create, you ask? I create a little bit of everything. I am a Serial Collector and among the things I collect are hobbies. I have quilted, made costumes, I scrapbook, I have painted stuff, I love to work with different crafts, I sew and love to make wreaths. My craft room is a collection of the many different forms of art and hobbies I do. It is filled with vintage buttons, ribbons, vintage lace, Ephemera, threads, stamps and inks, with vintage jewelry, and silver for projects. If you have a project you want to do, chances are good, I have the all the stuff to do it with.

This room became mine at the beginning of last year, when my son moved into the back house. It once was my son's bedroom. If you can believe this, I had all these items in nooks and crannies all over the house. I don't believe, I really managed to store all this stuff, but I did. I am still shocked at all I have managed to collect over the years. I am so grateful that they all have a home now. As you can see all the drawers are stuffed to the brim with various craft items and the tools of the trade. Each drawer has it's own display. It is important to me to open a drawer and look at the beauty of whatever is in that space. I like to make sure that each item has it's own special "wow", where it is stored.

One drawer is dedicated to only vintage hankies, another maybe to vintage flowers or antique cards. I love to also store vintage lace in crystal jars, the prettier the better. Did I tell you I collect paper? Paper is one thing I have trouble saying no to. I love this room it is constantly evolving. My table is a place where everything I work on gets dumped. It is where I put any yard sale goodies until I decide what to do with them. I tend to be very sloppy when I work. Things are very where. Most of what I make, I give away.

This home was a gift from God to me, and as the years go by I am more and more grateful for His blessings on my life. Thank you for stopping by "Where I Create!". I hope you enjoyed the tour! Blessings, Martha

I want to thank Karen at http://mydesertcottage.blogspot.com for hosting this wonderful party. Don't for get to sign up for my give away. Instructions are on 6-13-10 post. Now lets get to the party, lots to look at ladies! Blessings, Martha

Martha, I get a mix of jealousy and admiration for all of you girls that manage to keep such organize and pretty working areas. Not me. I sometimes think that you have to be wire that way. Not me. My enablers friends will patronize me by telling me ," Oh nobody is perfect, oh but you are so creative, blab, blah...". The truth is that when I comes to organization I skip that class and never learn how to. Beautiful room and stuff, you probably get tons of inspiration from just been there. Blessings, Marta.

Hi Martha, wow! What a space. Filled with so many goodies. You my dear are the best collector around ... of everything! :) I'm amazed at everything you have. My stuff is all around the house, jammed in every nook and cranny. I can never find a thing. I don't recall ever seeing you post anything you've made. I know that everything you do is made with love, straight from the heart, so I have no doubt it is all fabulous. Have a wonderful weekend. Blessings, Tammy

Martha, I am so excited to see your place of creativity! I love it! You do seem to have anything anyone could want to craft with. I love all your special touches all over your room. I saw a ivory colored group of angels that is such a fabulous touch to your room.
I even saw my shoe template peeking out from your stash of papers! I would love to see the shoes you make : )

SO lovely!!! No wonder your blog is so beautiful...you get inspired in such lovely surroundings.

I used to have a craft room, where I did my scrapbooking; alas, though, my husband got into woodworking and a shop alone wasn't enough space...he took over my craft room. Oh well, he pays the mortgage, so I won't complain but will just use the kitchen table instead.

Thanks for sharing your lovely creative spot.

Blessings,
Patti

That is a wonderful space and you have made good use of many of your collection as storage.I so understand being a serial collector and a serial crafter. I want to do it all! Your vintage jewelry peeking out there looks just beautiful.

Some day, come and take a peek at my daughter and my blog. It is three months old and not really just about my jewelry (which we have been doing for fifteen years...but our latest thing is repurposing old bits). I also love paper crafting...she loves a million other things like vintage fashion. We were not in any shape to photograph but I am loving the tours. Thanks for letting me peek!!!

Hi Martha, Thanks for coming by my party! I can so relate to the whole 'collecting crafts' hobby. I thought I had about every thing I need here to make just about anything... but after viewing your stuff... well, I am seeing some items I could use today!!! I need a bit of that gold riboon and a few of those jewels and ...oh my! I realize now I should have showed more of my supplies and treasures in my photos, instead of all put away in drawers. And my craft table in the middle of the room that was so pristine and cleared of everything in the photo of my studio in one days time is now completely covered with my latest project.

I read you profile and guess what? We both have a grandson with the same name : )

Have a blessed week!

Martha, this studio is SO you. I love how you've filled every bit of it with your personality and collections. I could spend hours here looking at every nook and cranny. Your built ins must store a lot of things, too.

That scissor holder is perfect. Love it. And I also love how you stored your cards in that fabric holder. So vintage looking, and simply YOU. Thank you for inviting me into your lovely studio with all your vintage goodies.

I think I'm on the verge of becoming a serial collector. I will say that I'm getting a bit much in scrapbook papers and made myself not buy any the whole month of June. Isn't it amazing how much stuff we don't realize we have! How nice that you have a whole room to keep it all in and be able to spread out.
