HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!

Hello ladies: Happy Pink Saturday! This is going to be a short post, because I took a fall and am having some serious back pain. Since last Tuesday, I have been in the hospital emergency room twice. I even got a ride in an ambulance! The ambulance ride was for a severe migraine, I was at Burger King and someone call the ambulance when I collapsed on the table. Next thing I remember is this cute paramedic asking me if I could tell him my name. It was the worse headache I have ever had. I could not even enjoy the ride because of the pain, and to top it off, I got sick on him. Talk about being embarrassed.

My next visit to the emergency room was because I fell off the dining room table. What was I doing on the dining room table you ask? Good question! Being stupid! I was going to decorate a candle chandelier that was over the table. When I stood up, the whole table flipped over on me. The force of the fall threw me into a marble table with all kinds of china dishes that fell on me. Then my big head hit the wall and a glass frame and shattered into a million pieces. I am so lucky I did not impale myself. There was glass and blood all over. I was alone, of course, no one is ever home when I fall. I need to plan that better. So I layed under the oak table until I was sure there were no bones showing anywhere. After I got the big table off me, I crawled to the couch in the next room to get my self up. As it was happening, it felt like everything was in slow motion. Like I was watching a cartoon only I was feeling everything. Today is the first day I have started to move. I have been on a lot of pain killers. I did fracture my shoulder blade and my back is having severe muscle spasms. I am feeling real loopy (muscle relaxer). So, that was my week. I had all kinds of plans, but I guess God had other plans.

I did not take any new pictures. These are some pinks that I had already taken. I just could not miss Pink Saturday. I know I have not finished visiting a lot of you who joined Tea Cup Tuesday. I hope to catch up soon. I hope that by this Tuesday everything would be back to normal. I almost forgot, while I was at the hospital, the doctor found a heart murmur. So now, I have to take all kinds of tests to see why I have this all of a sudden. So please say a little prayer on my behalf. Keep safe, and have a great PS! Blessings, Martha

Martha!!
What are we going to do with you!! I am glad that you did not impale yourself!!!
Please be careful!! I can so relate because I have fallen 5 times in a year. I have severe curvature of the spine and I have some nerve involvement that causes my right foot to go numb and down I go!!Like a ton of bricks!! I haven't broken anything yet, Thank God!!
I pray it does not happen when I am walking down steps!!
And I agree, no one is ever home when I fall. Maybe that is a good thing though because i am so embarrassed!!
Take care now and take those happy pills for the pain!!

Big hugs,
Debbie

Dear Martha, I can only imagine the pain you are experiencing. I didn't have such a bad fall but it took me forever to recover, actually I think I never will since my knee still hurts so much. Take all those pain killers and try not to put yourself back to work too soon. The thing that worries me is the migraine. Are you a sufferer? That episode sounds too violent to me. WE all going to be praying for a speedy recovery. Blessings, Marta.

Since I'm new to Pink Saturday, I hadn't seen any of your pinks. I LOVE the valance in the first photo....actually that whole set-up. Looks like your kitchen sink, right? What a lovely view as you do the dishes.

Take care, my dear...and no more standing on tables!!

Martha...are you kidding me? Girlfriend...you could have killed yourself.

I did something like this once (sort-of anyway). When I was 16 I was living in Colorado and the year was 1976. I was in a choir gathering with several school and couldn't SEE the director so I decided to stand on the chair that was ON TOP OF THE CHAIR RISERS. Well...the chair collapsed and I woke up in the emergency room. Horrible experience and I have a scar over my right eyebrow to this day.

I'm so glad you are still with us. A Saturday without your PINKS would be sooo boring!

Oh Martha! I am so sorry. Didn't your mamma teach you that we NEVER make a ladder out of furniture!!! It's something that runs through my head everytime I'm tempted so stand on something. I am just sick about all your injuries. I wish you a speedy recovery. Take it easy on yourself and use those medications to benefit you and get you back on your feet.

Dearest Martha,

I am so very sorry to hear of your accidents and your illness. Please rest and take care of yourself. You are so used of God to be a blessing to others and I, for one, need your inspiration and words of encouragement (a little selfish maybe--LOL). I am praying now for your full recovery and pain relief.

May the Lord bless you so richly as you recover. May His peace be yours today.

In Grace,
Marie

Oh my sweet Martha! You've certainly had a taxing week! I'm glad you're recouperating and I'll definitely put in a good word with the Almighty. Right now I want you to repeat after me: I will not stand on dining tables anymore. come on, say it.
Before I forget, I love your PS vignettes and especially the one with the rose teapot.
Ok dear, get well, and watch out for those pain killers and muscle relaxers.

Martha, what in the world am I going to do with you?! Do I have to come over there and keep and eye on you???
From here on out you are banned from climbing on anything...do you hear that? Banned!
Oh I know, it is hard to keep a good woman down when she has and idea, but please (lol) for the sake of all that is holy, don't climb on anything!!! : )
Whew!
O.k. I am feeling a little more calm now...
I am sorry about your severe headache, I took that ambulance ride too last winter with a shocker of a sudden headache, dropped me to the ground too. I am so sorry you have gone through that. I would have rather given birth to twins! I hope you (or I) never have that again.
And I hope the murmur was a glitch, and they find out all is well with your heart.
My thoughts are with you as well as my truly good wishes for you to receive only good from here on out.
hugs, hugs, and more hugs,
Terri

Good grief woman! I am so glad you are still alive after the week you've had! Your migraine sounds awful. My sister and a couple of cousins get terrible headaches that can take them out too. No ambulance rides for them though.
As for the table incident, that sounds plain scary. I am so happy you didn't hurt yourself worse. I hope your back feels better soon! Love the view from your kitchen window too, Happy Pink!

Hello dear Martha,

Oh my goodness, you must be more careful! Take care of yourself! Aren't those happy pills the greatest! I had to take them for a herniated disk last year, and it was touching the sciatic
nerve! I thought I would die with the pain. Rest, and hope to see you post soon!
