WEDDINGS & ROMANCE!

Hello Ladies! I have a very different post today. I am joining Stephanie at Angelic Accents! She is having her Second Annual To Have and To Hold Wedding Party and I just could not say no to this lovely, kind lady. Did I ever tell you, I don't collect Wedding Memorabilia? I know that is a shock, I do not have any wedding collections. So what are you going to share you ask? Well, things that remind me of weddings.

I am a hopeless romantic. Nothing says "romance" more than a wedding. This first picture is the veil my youngest daughter wore on her wedding day. The purse was what she used on her special day. I usually have it out somewhere, because I still miss her being at home.

This beautiful Victorian, Bride & Groom Plate was a gift from "The Vintage Bride," last year. I have this cute little bride cake topper in my craft room. When I see vintage cake toppers I always buy them, then usually I sell them in a few weeks. The romantic pink plate hangs on the wall in my craftroom as well. It is the plate you first see on this post.

This lovely pink tea pot set was a gift to me from a dear friend, who helped me with a Bridal Shower for my first daughter.

Of course, nothing says wedding like bling! Please visit Stephanie and look at all her wonderful Wedding Collections. That woman knows how to collect.

This last picture is a frame I have for sale on my new website! I would appreciate a visit there too! Hugs, Martha

SOFT SHADES OF RED, WHITE & BLUE TEA CUPS!

Hello Ladies: Once again, I want to welcome you to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 65. This week I was able to visit you and leave comments, so life is so much better. It was awful when I felt like we could not talk together. I am back to taking pictures of soft Red, White & Blue tea cups and teapots this week. My home is in transition to those colors. I unfortunately pinched my Sciatica (or what ever you do to make it hurt.) Not even sure how I did it, but have been home all weekend because of it. Just taking my muscle relaxers, so lights are on but no one is home.

I do have some fun tea pieces to show you today. Starting with the Lefton "America Rose" tea pot with a matching tea cup and saucer. I know I showed you this before, but it is one of my favorite patterns. It is not china really, but pottery, however, it is stunning.

My next cup is an Aynsley. I love the blue, cream and red colors on this and just look at the handle. I don't think I ever met an Aynsley I did not love. Can it be possible that my love of tea cups is growing? Oh, no! Let's not talk about it!

This next cup is a handmade, cobalt blue, cup from Italy. It is a demitasse cup. Just beautiful, don't you think?

This last cup I am sharing with you this week is Bavarian. It is Lusterware, very old and very sweet.

As I mentioned last week, I am giving this next tea cup away to celebrate my new website. It is a Mikasa. I purchase one for you and one for me. I have had a few ladies asked how to find it. All you have to do is press the button that reads "Pretty Vintage Things" at the top of my blog. Thank you!

Oh, before I forget, I have some sad news this week (well sad for me anyway.) My moment of glory, my 15 minutes of fame, my $500, was cut! My tea cups were cut from the TV show, "It's Worth What?" Unless NBC picks up the series, I lost my chance to be world famous, tragic! I was already building a brick wall to keep the paparazzi out. Not really, I am ok about it, it was fun having NBC here at my home. Fame, it goes so quickly, sometimes it never even arrives! :)

Here is Mr. Linky, thanks to the Terri, the sweetest lady you could ever have as a friend. Please visit her this week.

Have I ever told you I collect Fenton? Well you guessed it, I do. That top blue bowl is a Fenton in the Button & Bows pattern. Remember the drawing closes for the cup on June 22, 2011. Let me know if you want to be a part of it. This last picture is a vase that is going on my website tonight. Maybe you would like to take a peek? Lots of hugs, Martha

TEACUP TUESDAY, WEBSITE & GIVEAWAY! CAN IT GET ANY BETTER?

Hello Ladies! Welcome to another Tea Cup Tuesday to share our passion for Tea Cups and everything that has to do with tea!

I have been so frustrated this week with Blogger. I can't even sign-in to my own blog! If I leave a comment, (this after several attempts) it does not have my name on it, instead the comment appears anonymous. It is enough to cause a grown woman to spit! Sorry! I see some of you have managed to leave comments on my blog. If you have figured out the problem, please tell me, please! I am going crazy!

Ok, I feel better now! How was your week? :) My was good! It was extra good because I was able to find these next three tea cups at a real great price. The first one is a Royal Albert, England. This one is called "Sweet Violets." Royal Albert is quickly becoming one of my favorite manufacturers.

Cup number 2 is also a Royal Albert. Very vintage and very cute! Love the gold on the edges. The colors are so rich. I have it currently sitting on my kitchen counter. I don't know why I don't take pictures of my kitchen more often. I do have a very nice kitchen. The randon pictures on this post are of my kitchen.

Did I ever tell you I collect Mikasa? Well, you guessed it I do! Mostly dinner sets,(in my defense.) I am defending myself now, not good! Anyway, cup number 3 is a coffee can shape. It is a Mikasa and the pattern is called "Terrace Bloom." It is so beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. If you have read this far, than you get a chance at winning this cup. I picked up two and would like to share this one. As you can see by the button on the top of my page, MY WEBSITE IS NOW OPEN! A dream come true for me. I do have a lot more items to add, but I have been told (by someone, way smarter than me) it is ready to go! I do hope you stop by. This give away is my way of celebrating this long awaited opening. The give away will run until June 22, 2011.

I have learned so much! Ebay is easy compared to this, but this is my dream. Thank you for sharing it with me. If you see something you like and it is not for sale, let me know and I am sure, "I'll make you an offer you can't refuse!" If you are a follower of my blog, email me and I will give you a discount. I am not sure how to do that yet, but I do know how to refund your money! "What a Mickey Mouse out fit you have, Martha!" I know, I am working on it.

My sweet daughter, Vanessa, is going to put me on Facebook! I won't be on it, just my website. (I don't know how that works.) I also am joining the Shabby Lane Shops! I feel like a real business woman. You know collecting is a passion for me. Now I have another way to make some money and to trade up! Works for both of us!

Here our Mr. Linky for this week. Don't forget to visit Terri, you will not regret it! We are celebrating Tea Cup Tuesday No. 64! Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend.

The last picture on this post is a sample of what I am selling. Let me know if you want to be part of the give away! Hugs and extra hugs for your faithfulness! Martha
