I AM BACK!

Can you believe it is Fall already?  Where did the time go? Soon we will be getting ready for Christmas.  Have you wondered where I have been?  I hurt my back and sitting has been quite difficult for me.  However, I have missed you so much, I thought I would just write short little posts and that way I can keep up with what is going on.  Hope that's ok with everyone?

As you can see, I still love decorating my home with seasonal items.   I was recently ask by ThermaLeaf® to review a silk that they sent me. It is an Artichoke Topiary and it is just beautiful.  It is made of quality material and is fire retardant. I just love this new addition to my home.  This company has a wonderful product review campaign, if you are interested.  You get to pick the item and they ship it to you.  It is yours free for the price of a review. Please just mention that you heard it from me http://www.thermaleaf.com/.

Here is a peek at the other decorations that are happening around my home for Halloween. Feels like I forgot how to blog and take pictures, so please bare with me.  Be back soon.  Hugs, Martha

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR YOUR EASTER BONNET YET?

April is upon us, are you ready? It means new Easter clothes, Church, Baskets and Bunnies, not to mention a few beautiful tea cups that must be displayed.

I always look forward to Easter. We celebrate the Resurrection, it is my favorite Holiday.  I guess next to Christmas, this is the one holiday I have the most decorations for.  Although, I am in the process of down sizing for my children's sake, I love to decorate my house in purples.

Purple is the color of Royalty and what a better color for this holiday.  My son thinks, I have not gotten rid of anything.  It is always a battle to convince him otherwise.  I do hope you enjoy the pictures of my living room. I always love to change things around each month.

Hoping you are well. Thanks for your visit!   Hugs, Martha

Getting Reading for Easter and Tea Cup Exchange!

Good Morning Ladies:  Hope you are doing well.  The last couple of weeks have been a little tough, my husband had a mini stroke, but is now doing so well.  Expect him to be released with in the next few days.  God is so good.

Trying to get my act together here at home. Have begun to decorate a little more for Easter and still working on down sizing for my children's sake.  I have listed a lot on my Pretty Vintage Things web site.  As always, I give discounts to my blog followers.  Just send me a note to receive it.

I decorate in lavenders and purples for Easter.  Do hope you enjoy the pictures.  I have joined the Tea Cup & Mug Exchange by Stephanie at The Enchanting Rose. Love doing
tea cup exchanges, how my tea cup is received well.   Have a
wonderful week.  Hugs, Martha

It's that time. . .

HELLO, REMEMBER ME?

Hello dear friends!  It has been a long time.  I have missed you so.  My life got a bit complicated and it was difficult just to sit on my chair for any length time.  I have had a procedure done on my back that has helped however, recovery is slow, but I am doing so much better.   I thought I would take the time to just share a little bit every week,  just to get back to normal.

Please let me know how you have been doing.  I am still down sizing a little.  I am no longer using a storage unit for my decorations.  I have added a large Tuff Shed in the back.  The plan, "Whatever fits, fits!"  Anything that does not fit into my shed goes on my website.  As you can see, I have not been completely useless.   I am going to join some parties this week. Good to be back!

 Hugs, Martha

WELCOME NOVEMBER TEA PARTY!

Hello Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 323!  Can you believe it is November already?  For me, once November 1st, comes along, life moves to fast.  Between family and church activities, it is non stop.  I need to have my Christmas up by the last week in November, if I am going to have any time for the added parties.  It will be interesting to see how I manage this year with my back so delicate.

We will be having three days of Thanksgiving parties, because of the size of our families.  Two of those dinners will be at our home. I get tired just thinking about it.  However, I must confess, I love it at the same time!

Today I am sharing this vintage Limoges cup.  Love the handle on this one.

This cup is by the Johnson Bros.  It is called Harvest Time, perfect for Fall.  I have totally change the home decor for Thanksgiving.  The earth tones are a perfect match for this time of year.

Here are some parties I will be joining.  I want to thank you so much for being faithful to this little tea party.  You are so appreciated.  Have a wonderful week.  Hugs, Martha

HAPPY HALLOWEEN AND TEA CUP EXCHANGE!

Hello Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 322! Happy Halloween, always a fun time when children are involved.  Sorry about last week,  back was acting up.  Improvement this week and for that I am grateful.  I shared a few weeks back that I had joined "The Enchanted Rose," Tea Cup & Mug Exchange.  Today the group is sharing their treasures.

9TH TEA CUP & MUG EXCHANGE

The Enchanting Rose

My treasures came from Linda of Mysewwhatblog@blogspot.com.  This was only the second time I have been a part of a Tea Cup Swap and it was so much fun.  Just take a look at the lovely items I received.

It felt like Christmas, as I opened up the package.  Everything was so beautiful and it was all pink, my favorite color!

A lot of the gifts included hand made items by Linda herself.  I was so thrilled.  Thank you so much again Linda.   I love it all!

CELEBRATING THE BEGINNING OF AUTUMN

Hello my friends and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 321! Hope the weather has been treating you better.  It was a rough week for many of you and I am so sorry.  I missed last week because of back ache.  Today seems to be much better so I am  taking advantage of it.  Sophia had her Hello Kitty Birthday Tea Party.  She turned 5 and was just delighted with the whole event! The little ladies used demitasse  cups, a perfect fit. Sophia is the little girl in the middle with the cup in hand.

Halloween Costumes are almost done, Little Red Riding Hood is the only one left.

Today I am sharing these two wonderful cups.  The first is soup cup, it is double handled and made by my favorite company, Limoges.   The all gold cup is a Bavarian cup.  Both these cups are just stunning.

Have a wonderful week.   Hugs, Martha

OCTOBER'S TEA CUP TUESDAY!

Hello Ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 320! Can you believe it is October?  Halloween is just around the corner and then the "C" word,  Christmas is beginning to show up in stores. My Halloween decorations will be all set up by the end of the week, hopefully some costumes as well.  Sophia's Birthday Tea is Friday.  She is so excited. We went out shopping for a birthday dress on Saturday.  She will be 5 years old.

This week I will be sharing these two demitasse cups.  Both these cups are made by Nasco, Japan.  Notice the cute little bird on the first one.

Hope you have a wonderful week.  I am on  my way to the back doctor.  Here are some of the parties I will be joining this week.  Hugs,  Martha
