TEACUP TUESDAY, WEBSITE & GIVEAWAY! CAN IT GET ANY BETTER?

Hello Ladies! Welcome to another Tea Cup Tuesday to share our passion for Tea Cups and everything that has to do with tea!

I have been so frustrated this week with Blogger. I can't even sign-in to my own blog! If I leave a comment, (this after several attempts) it does not have my name on it, instead the comment appears anonymous. It is enough to cause a grown woman to spit! Sorry! I see some of you have managed to leave comments on my blog. If you have figured out the problem, please tell me, please! I am going crazy!

Ok, I feel better now! How was your week? :) My was good! It was extra good because I was able to find these next three tea cups at a real great price. The first one is a Royal Albert, England. This one is called "Sweet Violets." Royal Albert is quickly becoming one of my favorite manufacturers.

Cup number 2 is also a Royal Albert. Very vintage and very cute! Love the gold on the edges. The colors are so rich. I have it currently sitting on my kitchen counter. I don't know why I don't take pictures of my kitchen more often. I do have a very nice kitchen. The randon pictures on this post are of my kitchen.

Did I ever tell you I collect Mikasa? Well, you guessed it I do! Mostly dinner sets,(in my defense.) I am defending myself now, not good! Anyway, cup number 3 is a coffee can shape. It is a Mikasa and the pattern is called "Terrace Bloom." It is so beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. If you have read this far, than you get a chance at winning this cup. I picked up two and would like to share this one. As you can see by the button on the top of my page, MY WEBSITE IS NOW OPEN! A dream come true for me. I do have a lot more items to add, but I have been told (by someone, way smarter than me) it is ready to go! I do hope you stop by. This give away is my way of celebrating this long awaited opening. The give away will run until June 22, 2011.

I have learned so much! Ebay is easy compared to this, but this is my dream. Thank you for sharing it with me. If you see something you like and it is not for sale, let me know and I am sure, "I'll make you an offer you can't refuse!" If you are a follower of my blog, email me and I will give you a discount. I am not sure how to do that yet, but I do know how to refund your money! "What a Mickey Mouse out fit you have, Martha!" I know, I am working on it.

My sweet daughter, Vanessa, is going to put me on Facebook! I won't be on it, just my website. (I don't know how that works.) I also am joining the Shabby Lane Shops! I feel like a real business woman. You know collecting is a passion for me. Now I have another way to make some money and to trade up! Works for both of us!

Here our Mr. Linky for this week. Don't forget to visit Terri, you will not regret it! We are celebrating Tea Cup Tuesday No. 64! Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend.

The last picture on this post is a sample of what I am selling. Let me know if you want to be part of the give away! Hugs and extra hugs for your faithfulness! Martha

TEA CUPS WE LOVE!

Hello Ladies: Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 63! I am so late in posting today, sorry. I was sick last week and today I had Noah, (need I say more!) These next couple of weeks are filled with Finals and more Graduations in our family. I, at long last, will be opening my website next week! I am so happy. It is not all filled with treasures yet, but a good start I think. I have learned so much, I would not be surprised if you could smell hair burning from your house! It has kept me so busy I have only been able to post once a week. I hope that will change. I love blogging. When I feel french fried, I like peeking at your sites. I did that this past week because I was sick. Once you get started it is hard to stop. You are amazing!

This month's tea cups will be mostly in red. I love to have red, white and blue during June and part of July. It gets me in the mood for BB Q's and fire works. So, I am starting with a snack plate. It is a fairly recent purchase, just last year I think. It is a Royal Albert, "Lady Hamilton". Great rich colors.

This next cup is from Falissy Pottery in England. It is Red Transfer ware "Thames River Scenes." It is my goal to get a whole set of Red Transfer ware. I think it is so beautiful. I have seen a lot of ladies share this pattern. I covet every time.

The next cup is a Carlton Ware from England. It is a deep, red color with a gold leaf interior. Beautiful! Did I ever tell you I collect vanity jar ladies? Well, I do and this one is gorgeous. She opens just under that first layer of ruffles. This vintage beauty was purchased at an Estate Sale last month. I just had to have it.

The next cup is a Konigl pr Tet tau, Germany. US Zone. The trio is a cream and Burgundy color.

Well ladies, you know what to do with Mr. Linky. Again sorry about being late today. Terri's post is up and ready. She beat me today!

The top cup is not a cup at all, but a bouillon cup. I have a whole set of these. I have never used them. I can just hear my kids now! If I were to put these on the table, the harassment I would receive. I think they will go up on my website. They are so dainty, it is hard to let them go. The cup is a Johnson Brothers, England. If I don't start thinning these cups out, my oldest daughter will put it all in a yard sale for 50 cents each, when I am gone. (Ouch!)

I know we have had very bad weather these last few months. Many homes have been lost and lives have been changed forever. If you would like me to post some prayer requests, I would be happy to. I know that a lot of my followers are woman of prayer. I am sure we can all do that for you. Just email me. These tea cups are fun to look at, but as Christians, we do have things that must come first. One is to bear one another's burdens. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Martha

PS: I CANNOT SEEM TO LEAVE COMMENTS THIS WEEK. I THINK BLOGGER IS HAVING A PROBLEM. I AM VISITING EVERYONE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM OR IT IS SOMETHING I HAVE TO FIX. THANKS, MARTHA

CELEBRATING TEA AND MONIQUE!

Hello Ladies: Welcome to another Tea Cup Tuesday! This marks our 62nd Tuesday that we have been celebrating our love for Tea Cups. I plan to show you a few different tea items with week. The first item I would like to show you is this two cup Tea Pot with matching creamer and sugar container. It is a Bonnie Griffin, Antique Rose, Brownlow Design. It is hand painted. A very unique set!

This next one I want to show you is a very unusual, antique, miniature Character Tea Pot. It was made in Staffordshire, England by Artone. The little lady is hand painted and measures about 2 3/4" high. The large tea pot and tea cup is by Roy Kickham, pattern name "Redoute Roses." It too is from England. Love the large roses on this one.

Did I ever tell you I collect creamers? Well, yes, this is something I collect in secret. I don't like to mention it too much, because I don't want anyone to think I am "over the top!" This next tea pot, I purchased, simply because I love the creamer. It is a Royal Vienna and the creamer sits on four little legs. It is a lovely pink and green, too cute!

This next tea pot is something very different. I use it as a creamer. It is a Portmeirion, from England. I love that it has a complete miniature tea set as part of the lid. I plan to thin out a lot of my tea items in my website. This will be one of the items that will be on sale.

The trio at the top of the post is "Romance" by Old Ivory, Syracuse China. This set is American. I love the maroon colors.

This week also marked a big moment in our family history. My daughter, Monique, graduated from USC with her Master's Degree. The first in our family. We have a lot of BA's, but until this past week no Master's. I am so proud of her.

Here is Mr. Linky and you know what to do. Don't forget to visit Terri, she is amazing! Have a wonderful week! Hugs, Martha

I NEEDED ANOTHER TEA CUP!

Hello Ladies! I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! I love Mother's Day, I have a wonderful Mom who is my rock. It is always so much fun when we gather to celebrate her and all the Mom's in the family. It feels like Christmas. We share gifts with all the Mom's and lucky me, I got two tea cups! I needed them sooo bad! Now I get to share them with you, on Tea Cup Tuesday, No. 61!

The first tea cup is one of those gifts. It is from the Bradford Editions. It is called "Topaz Tulip" by Lena Liu. I did not even know Bradford issued tea cups. I love the bow on the handle of this one. The background is a very pale teal. Like I said, "I needed a tea cup!"

Cup No. 2 is also a Bradford Editions, 1996. It is called "Circle of Joy, Floral Greetings" from Lena Liu. It features a purple pansies with a butterfly in the center. This one too, was also a gift I needed badly!

Cup No. 3 is one I have had for years. I don't believe I have ever shown you this one. I have a few that are similar, but not quite the same. It is, of course, a Haviland, Limoges. Teal and pink roses, just stunning.

The last tea cup I am sharing this week is called "Ferncroft", by Royal Worcester, England. It is a trio, very sweet! It was a thrift store special a couple of years ago.

Did I ever tell you I collect lady figurines? Well, I do, I have several around the house in different colors. The top picture is a Josef. I think they are my favorite items to collect. I know that is shocking, considering the number of tea cups I have. I just love how they can make any spot look so romantic.

I am going to end this post with some pictures of Noah. He is into costumes and dress up these days. The three costumes in these pictures are some I made for my son, Kyle who is now 21 years old. Looking at Noah in these costumes reminded me of my son so much. Noah looks so much like him. He is just too cute to not show you.

You know what to do with Mr. Linky! Have a wonderful week. Don't forget to visit Terri's blog. You never get disappoint with your visit there. Hugs to all, Martha
