A TEA CUP TUESDAY ALMOST FORGOTTEN!

You are not going to believe this, well maybe you will. I forgot it was Tuesday! What is my problem? How could I forget Tea Cup Tuesday No. 40, no less? Well, my only excuse is "The old gray mare, she ain't what she use to be!" I have been doing too many things lately. One too many parties, and still going. So ladies, this post will be a little different. I am going to make you hunt for the teapots and tea cups.




I do remember I promised to show you some of my kitchen decorations. I will do that too! I want to start with a Christmas Tea cup. The only one I am going to show you today. Not because that is all I have, but because I forgot it was Tuesday remember? The cup is a Duchess and it is call "Winter". It is pictured with two of my other favorite things to collect Christmas pins and shoes. This cup does have a very winter feel to it. I love the colors. Then again, I am a color person, in case you did not guess that already. I just love the saying on this ornament.




These next pictures are of a Lefton Teapot, cream & sugar, and a Coffee canister. I love the red roses on this set. I know there must be cups out there, I have just never found them. Do you have a tea cup to sell me?




See my China cabinets over my counter? That's where I keep my Limoges! My favorite of all dishes, Limoges. If you look real carefully, you will notice two, English, Granny Tea pots on top with some of my Yellow Ware collection. I know I told you I collect Yellow Ware, didn't I?




Did I ever tell you I collect Christmas Trees? Well I do, all types. This one with the angels, (also something I collect) is one I made a few years back. At one time I made things and sold them. Don't you just love this Charlie Brown type tree with the bells?



I think I have been confessing to too many collections this post. I always feel so, so GUILTY. What can I tell you? I am a thrift store junky, I need help, I confess! While I am in the mood to confess, the glass jar, at the top of the post, is filled with vintage glass ornaments, something I also collect. Ok, I am going to stop confessing before I get bad dreams about my collections. (I collect Snowman too, that's it, I am done!)

CHRISTMAS IN THE "PINK"!

Hello my Pinkie Friends! It is time again for another Pink Saturday. I have seen so many of your lovely, decorated homes this week. It has been like looking through my favorite magazine. Your homes are amazing! At my house this week everyone is buzy with finals, gift shopping and yes, the children's Christmas programs. This year was Noah's first preschool program. Do I have to tell you he was the cutest in his whole class? His mother had him dressed in a plaid shirt and tie. His tie was too short, he looked adorable. He is the tallest one in his 2 year old class. I just had to include some pictures. My granddaughter, Maya, and the entire family showed up for his 4 minutes of singing. It took more time to park than the time he was on stage. It was worth every minute.






I am going to show you a few more decorations around the house this week. If you look real close, you will find some pink. The top dish, I recently purchased and I had to show it to you. It has a lady's portrait on the plate, just beautiful. I also have pictures of that pink couples' lamp and the mantle.





I am one of those weird people (What? You all ready knew?) that love the fussing around a Christmas. Every week it is one party after the next. I guess, I am just a Party Animal at heart. Who would have thought? I have a party tonight! Here are a few more Christmas decorations in my living room. I will show you my kitchen on Tea Cup Tuesday.





I know my decorating is "over the top" at Christmas. This is how I feel about it. If you can't be "over the top" for Jesus birthday, then when? I love you all, talk to you Tuesday. Blessings, Martha

TEA CUP PARTY AND MORE!

Hello dear Tea Cup Ladies! Hope you are well on your way to getting all your Christmas things done. I still have a lot of shopping to do. Today I have joined 2 other parties, as well as our weekly Tea Cup Tuesday No. 39. I hope I can do this, so please bear with me if I mess up. I don't join other parties very often, I know my home is not as beautiful as some of the ones you will see, however, I love Christmas, so I am playing! The parties I am joining are "Christmas with Victoria" and "Deck the Halls". The address to these parties are on my side bar, in case you want to party too. The china cabinet above holds my Pink Treasures!

All you have to do is show us your Tea Cups. I will, of course, start with Tea Cup Tuesday. You would not believe what I found at an Estate Sale this weekend. I am so excited about the cups I found. I am only going to show you two of the four cups I purchased. You will have to wait to see the other two, sorry!





The first cup is an Aynsley, Gold Fruit Athens, signed by the artist. I have wanted this cup for so long, however, it was always too expensive for me. Saturday, it was mine, yeah! I was so excited, when I purchased it, that when I got into my car, I unwrapped it and just held it. How could anyone get rid of such a beauty? Were they insane? On drugs, what is the reason? Needless to say, when I saw the price, it was mine. Although it is not a Christmas cup, let's pretend it is ok? I am not going to say much about the cup, it speaks for itself. This may not sound so spiritual, but I thanked God for my good fortune that day, especially this cup! These cups go for $200 plus. I purchased it, at my cup limit.




Cup Number 2 is a Royal Grafton. Isn't it beautiful with the pink rose in the middle. It too, was purchased at the Estate Sale on Saturday. I love the red colors. I think it is very Christmasy! (Is that a word?) I have a few Royal Grafton cups, they are so elegant!




The next cup is a Royal Stafford. It looks like the sister of the Royal Grafton. This one is a burgundy with gold. They are both beautiful. Great colors for Christmas. I am planning to have a ladies group over and these cups will be on the table for sure.



I am also featuring a vintage, Fritz and Floyd, Santa Claus Teapot. I am not a Santa collector, however, I do have a few very pretty pieces of vintage Christmas Santa's.






Since I plan to show you the Christmas decorations in my home. I thought I would start with the Christmas Tree. Did I ever tell you, I do a different tree every year? Well, I do, I have a rather large collection of trees things. This year I did a vintage Madame Alexander Doll tree, with vintage glass ornaments and pink, glittered poinsettias. It also has a vintage, ruffled, paper garland. I think it came out so cute. I hope you like it too. I have collected vintage glass ornaments for years and have a large collection.




This time of year it is hard not to see the rather large collections of Christmas items I have. I guess, I will be making a lot of confessions this month! Did I ever tell you I collect nativity scenes? Well, I do, don't say anything, just look at how beautiful this is. This one is vintage, Italian, paper mache and stands about 10 to 12 inches high. It has the stable and other pieces, but I ran out of room. Baby Jesus, gets put in the manger on Christmas Eve! I love nativity sets, I wish I could show them all to you, but I run out of room in my house so I have to change them out each year just featuring 5 or 6 at a time.





This vintage crystal punch bowl is beautifully hand cut. I have filled it with vintage, gold foil, Christmas bulbs and these forest elfs. At least I think that is what they are. I have done a Christmas tree full of them in the past and I just love the look on their faces.




I love put a poinsetta and a bow on things. That is what I have done to this dessert plate holder. I have Green Depression glass plates on there now, but that will change to a Cranberry color in the next few days.



This next picture is my "Victoria" picture. Notice the vintage Christmas pins. I do have a small collection of these ladies "heads". This is the only one I have that is wearing a Christmas outfit.
