I NEEDED ANOTHER TEA CUP!

Hello Ladies! I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! I love Mother's Day, I have a wonderful Mom who is my rock. It is always so much fun when we gather to celebrate her and all the Mom's in the family. It feels like Christmas. We share gifts with all the Mom's and lucky me, I got two tea cups! I needed them sooo bad! Now I get to share them with you, on Tea Cup Tuesday, No. 61!

The first tea cup is one of those gifts. It is from the Bradford Editions. It is called "Topaz Tulip" by Lena Liu. I did not even know Bradford issued tea cups. I love the bow on the handle of this one. The background is a very pale teal. Like I said, "I needed a tea cup!"

Cup No. 2 is also a Bradford Editions, 1996. It is called "Circle of Joy, Floral Greetings" from Lena Liu. It features a purple pansies with a butterfly in the center. This one too, was also a gift I needed badly!

Cup No. 3 is one I have had for years. I don't believe I have ever shown you this one. I have a few that are similar, but not quite the same. It is, of course, a Haviland, Limoges. Teal and pink roses, just stunning.

The last tea cup I am sharing this week is called "Ferncroft", by Royal Worcester, England. It is a trio, very sweet! It was a thrift store special a couple of years ago.

Did I ever tell you I collect lady figurines? Well, I do, I have several around the house in different colors. The top picture is a Josef. I think they are my favorite items to collect. I know that is shocking, considering the number of tea cups I have. I just love how they can make any spot look so romantic.

I am going to end this post with some pictures of Noah. He is into costumes and dress up these days. The three costumes in these pictures are some I made for my son, Kyle who is now 21 years old. Looking at Noah in these costumes reminded me of my son so much. Noah looks so much like him. He is just too cute to not show you.

You know what to do with Mr. Linky! Have a wonderful week. Don't forget to visit Terri's blog. You never get disappoint with your visit there. Hugs to all, Martha

  3. Martha, you always show such lovely things. I think I am very attracted to the bow on the "Topaz Tulip" cup. What a sweet idea to put a bow on the handle. I do like the Haviland very much, also. The like the pastel floral pattern and soft colors. I think figurines are very nice, too. I especially like the flowers in the hair - the primroses(?)

Noah is darling in his costumes. I remember when my son, Robert (now 21), liked to dress up in costumes, too. What a sweet, innocent age. Thank you for sharing with us.

    Blessings always,
    Marianne

  5. Martha!!! I just have to find a "topaz tulip" for my collection. I have NEVER seen a bow on a teacup handle. The colors are so pretty. They are ALL wonderful, but that one made my heart stop. I am giving away a gift subscription to Tea Time Magazine this week on my blog it can be used for the winner or the winner can gift it to anyone in the US. Feel free to pass the word on. Happy Mother's Day and that Noah really must pull on your heart strings, what a sweet lovie! ~ Trisha

  7. What wonderful teacups. I love the Lena Liu cup. I have several hummingbird pictures of hers. Wonderful artist.

The pictures of Noah are precious. Are they not just so fun at that age. One of my favorite pictures of my oldest grandson is one where he is dressed up as Laur Ingles. He was wearing an outfit my mother had made for 1976 and the July 4th Celebration in our hometown.

Glad that you had a wonderful Mothers day.

  14. Hi Martha, hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. Noah is a cutie! He could hop on his magic carpet with that Alladin costume and fly on over to my side of the world. HA! Don't think he would survive as a penguin in the heat we are having. :) Have a great rest of the week. Tammy

  28. Whoops! I meant to leave a comment, not a link! Your teacups are lovely, Martha--and little Noah's love of costumes reminds me of one of my grandsons . . . he is 5 now, but loved to dress up as either Batman or Spiderman, and often would wear his costumes out in public about a year ago . . . my daughter and I would meet for coffee, and there Batman or Spiderman would be, accompanying us!

  29. I don't know what I like better...your grandson or the teacups! Both are treasures!
