ENDING SUMMER WITH SOME TEA CUPS!

Hello Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 317.   Sorry about last week, my grandchildren spent the night and decided to make all kinds of forts and sleeping areas around the bed. To make a long story short, I went sailing across the room, right into my desk.  I didn't poke my eye out because, well,  I must be learning to fall.  (Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?)  It would have been very funny, if I was able to move.  See that pretty face in the picture? That's Sophia, she starts school tomorrow.  I am very proud but a little sad at the same time.  Where does the time go?  All three of them start school this week, summer is officially over. They are excited about there new adventure.

I am sharing this pretty "English Chintz," Queen China tea cup today.  I always have had a soft spot for Chintz.  Don't you just love the porcelain brooch?  It is a favorite as well.

This next cup is an RS Prussia.  You can't see it in the pictures, but it has a pearl like finish.  It is so very pretty in person.  The pictures do not do it justice.

Thank you for your faithfulness to this little blog.  Please feel free to share anything pretty you want us to see.  I would also like you to included our friend Terri in your prayers.  She has been having a rough time physically.    Here are some of the parties I will be joining this week:

Teatime Tuesday - Tuesday Cuppa Tea - Friends Sharing Tea - Share Your Cup Thursday - Inspire Me Monday- No Place Like Home - Share Your Cup Thursday at Have a Daily Cup of Mrs. Olsen - The Charm of a Home - Tea in Texas - Thelma's Days - Bella's Rosas Antiques - Friends Sharing Tea at Bernideen's Tea Time Blog

  1. Hi Martha, I'm glad you weren't injured too badly when you went for a skate - kids do love to build forts and huts don't they?
Your cups are very pretty once again and the chintz one particularly so.
    Take care,

    Diana

  2. I'm certainly glad you're okay, Miss Martha!

About 9 years ago, I slipped on a very slick blanket left out by one of my daughters and dislocated my right elbow. Ouch.

And that porcelain brooch is gorgeous!!

I love your little blog and your posts.

    Sincerely,
    Melinda

  3. Oh my, I'm glad you didn't get hurt, Martha! I have had so many falls that I have lost count. It comes with the territory, I guess. Our kids don't go back to school until after Labour Day and I'm so glad because we really do have such short summers. When my family was home for the Reunion I made it a point to have a little tea party which I'm sharing this week. Thank you for sharing all your pretties with us.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  4. Our house is usually the place where most 'little' accidents happen. So,we should make arrangements as to prevent falling, slipping, cutting etc..
Your tea cups and the porcelain brooch look wonderful.
A successful New School Year to Sophia!

Your teacups - as always - are beautiful. It seemed appropriate that I should link to your blog party today since my blog post is about teacups.
