GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING!

Hello ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 308! Have you  ever woke up in the morning knowing exactly what your plans were for the day, then God makes other plans?   That is exactly what happened to me this morning.  One minute I am eye balling the mountain of laundry  and the next, I am tell my son, he may lose this Grandfather and we have to meet the family at the hospital. It was one of those days today.  Thank God it had a happy ending.   It was only God who kept this man from dying.  He is 90 years old and already had a quadruple by-pass.  Either way the doctor said,  he probably would not make it.  Yet here I am able to post today with good news.  I don't know how people make it without God.   We had everyone praying this morning and God answered.   I am so grateful to God and the power of prayer!

I know today is all about tea cups and the pretty things that make us smile.  So I want to start with this beautiful Lefton Teapot.  I own the entire set, including the canisters.  It is so pretty.

This next beauty is a Nippon. It is all handprinted, very thin china,
 just amazing!

This next cup is so amazing.  I do not know where it was made, I don't recognized the symbol.  Love portrait cups.

Here is my father in law, this past Friday.  Kyle is in the blue sweat shirt on the right, the young man on the left is his other grandson, Chris.  My son is doing so well, and now so is his Grandfather! Thank you for all your prayers.

Hello and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 306! Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! I loved that when I opened up Facebook all my family and friends had their Mama's pictures on there.   Sorry for posting so late, I am getting ready for the big craft day Saturday.

I am sharing some vintage Chintz this week. I received a new piece for Mother's Day.  I will share it with you next week.  I love they way they make everything feel so Romantic.

Here are a few of the fun things I have around the house this month. I also want to share a picture of the some of the other costumes I made this month for the Grandchildren.

A quick up date on my son, he is doing wonderful.  He has begun to remember what happened to him, that is a miracle.  He is talking about going back to school and finding some other occupation (yeah). Thanks for your prayers.  Hugs, Martha

CELEBRATING MOTHER'S DAY!

Hello Ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 305!  Hope you have all been safe.  The weather has not been too kind to many of you.  It kind of puts things into perceptive, when you see so many people suffering from floods and winds.  Los Angeles has been the same, sunny and beautiful.   Sorry about last week, I have been having trouble with my sciatica and sitting has been a problem.   I am somewhat better today.

Can't believe we are about to celebrate Mother's Day this week.  I have to get my act in order.   Adore my mother but she is so very hard to shop for.  She never needs or wants anything.  Do you think we will all get to that point in our lives,  I hope so? This teapot is an old Sadler.

This first cup is not vintage, but was purchased at a tea house in Pasadena, CA.  I loved the little feet on this one.  It was made in England.

This last cup is a handprinted Lefton.  They are always so pretty and this one was a gift from my best friend's mom.  I have been thinking a lot about what I am going to do with all these cups, what a chore for my children.  I must own at least 2 or 3 hundred.  "Huston we have a problem."  I keep thinning out, but it seems never ending.
My youngest daughter will want to keep them all just because "they were Mom's." My oldest simply says " Put a price on everything Mom!"

I have to work this out.  Have you even started to think about your collections?  I will be 65 this year, it has been on my mind a lot, so have the calls from Social Security for that matter.  Maybe that is why, Social Security does not let me forget my age.

Have a wonderful Mother's Day!  You deserve to be good to yourself.  Thank you for visiting, I look forward to looking at all the "pretties" you will post this week. Hugs, Martha
