SAYING GOOD BYE TO JANUARY WITH A CUP OF TEA!

Hi Ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 295!  Hope your week as been wonderful, mine has had it's ups and downs.  Can you believe this is the last week of January?  Is it because I am older that time seems to just run out so quickly?  I am a "baby boomer" and it does not help that a lot of people that shaped my adolescence have died recently.  In some cases younger than me.  Makes me think about a lot of things.  For instance, do we ever finish our work as a Mother?  I wonder, do we want to?

This will be the last week to share black and white tea cups, I always have more cups than time.  We have to start thinking about Valentine's Day.  I want to start with this Bavarian cup from Germany.  I believe I have always favored this cup because of the crown pedestal.  It is the only cup I have ever
seen like it.  The rich black, white and gold leafing makes it that much more special.

The next cup is a Clarence from England.  Love the shamrock decor with the gold leafing on this cup.

I sure hope you have been safe with this awful weather we have been having.  Los Angeles has been cool and sunny, typical winter for us.  My grandchildren are enjoying a day at Knott's Berry Farm.  They are always ready for fun.  Take care of yourself, please continue praying for my son.  Improvement is so slow.  I admit it has been hard on me. I think I am coming to the realization that I am his care giver and that makes me so sad for him.  All any of us can do is trust God with those we love so much.

Thank you for joining the party.  Please feel free to sharing something about tea or anything that just puts a smile on your face, both are good.   Looking forward to visiting. Hugs, Martha

A LITTLE BIT OF THIS AND THAT ON TEA CUP TUESDAY!

Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 294!  A dear friend gave me this card recently and I think it fits for many of us.  The inside reads: "The answer is on the way!"
I am adjusting to my new normal as my son continues his healing process.  I know God is faithful.

Here are the paper tea cups I promised to show last week.   I am going to teach 35 ladies from Teen Challenge how to make them on Friday.  It should be fun.

The first tea cup I am sharing today is a Foley, from England.  Pattern name is "Florence."  Pictures do not do this cup justice.

The next cup is a Wedgwood also from England, it is so beautiful. I have noticed  that many of you have already started putting up Valentines Day decorations.  I don't know how you do it.

Here is a couple of pictures of the Grandchildren, they grow so fast.  Looking forward to visiting.  Please feel free to share, I love to visit and it does not have to include a tea cup.  Looking at your collections are also great fun.  Hugs, Martha

LACE TEA CUP ON TUESDAY!

Hello Ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 294!  It is Tuesday morning and I know most of you have had your post up since Sunday, I am just running late.  This week seems to have flown by with lots of activities.  Today I am sharing some of my black and white tea cups.  I am starting with this amazing black lace tea cup by Royal Albert called "SeƱorita."  For this lady, who loves romantic items, nothing is more lovely.  I made one out of paper I will share next week.

Over the years I have collected quite a few black and white tea cups.  They are so different and really are eye catching.  This next cup is a Royal Stafford from England.  Notice the gold leaf on the black, it is just stunning don't you think?

In January my decor changes to black, white, silver and crystal.

In all the excitement, I forgot to tell you I found all my pictures in the iCloud, all by myself, thank you very much, very proud.  I have also learned to use them in my shop again.  I had been at a stand still because of this problem for months.  My shop was almost empty.  I can now begin to fill it again.  If you see something you like on the remaining items, email me and I will give you a special discount.  I am looking forward to visiting you this week.  Hope you are all doing great, on this end we have been so much better, not 100% back to normal, but so much better.  Remember to be kind to yourself.  Hugs, Martha

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S FROM MARTHA'S FAVORITES!

Happy New Year Ladies and welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 293 ! Very glad that 2015 is behind me and looking forward to the New Year.  It is going to rain in Los Angeles this week, very different for us.  I am sure it is no comparison to what many of you are going through this week.  I have you in my prayers.  Our whole church prays the first week in January.  Let me know if you have any special requests that we can pray for.  Of course, they will be kept private.

I am sharing a couple of tea cups today, starting with this Coalport.  I love the wonderful shape of this cup.

This next cup is a Florentine from England.

I love to share my collections, because of the past year, I forgot that they gave me so much joy.  I am fixing that, this year.  Today I am sharing my collection of vintage, porcelain trivets.  Most are hand painted and look so pretty.  I use them often.  I found this wonderful little dish holder at a scrapbook convention and it works perfect for storing these beautiful trivets. I would like you too, to feel free to share your "joys" whatever they many be.  Together, let's make this the best year ever!

The little white rose is off one of the Rose Bowl Floats!
Wishing you the best 2016!  Sending hugs your way, Martha
