OH, TO DANCE WITH MY FATHER AGAIN!

Hi Ladies:  Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 226!   Hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day!  Our family celebrated all the Dad's in the family with a barbecue and lots of smores.  Father's Day always makes me reflect on my own sweet Dad.  He was first a gentlemen.  Loving my mother and his daughters and his Granddaughters in such a special way.  He left big shoes for future husbands to fill.   My younger son, Kyle, was two when he lost his Grandfather so he really does not have a lot of memories of my Dad.  He has been lucky enough to have my husband's father.  So God saw to it that he was not with a a wonderful Grandfather.   Today for Tea Cup Tuesday I want to honor both these men who we have been blessed to have in our lives.  They were and are good example of our Heavenly Father.  My prayer is that you too have good memories of your Fathers.  This first picture is of my Father, Felipe.  The second is of my husband's father, Alfred.  Both amazing men, that we have been blessed with.

For the tea cups today I am picking Father's Cups.  The first one is from Germany.  It is a mustache cup, rather large, maybe it was used more for coffee.

The second cup is also German and very old.  This too is a Father's Cup.  Love the pink!

I remember dancing with my Father. One day, I will dance with him again.

I am working on a crown for Elsa to match the dresses.  I will show you them next week with a little luck.  Have a great week.  I am not sure if Terri is going to join us. Here is this week's link.  Keep your fingers crossed. I am so grateful that we all have a Heavenly Father who never leaves us or forsakes us.  Sending hugs your way! Martha

AS YOU CAN SEE TERRI IS MISSING.  SORRY FOR SMALL LINKY.  HUGS, MARTHA

  4. Hello Dear Martha...Your father left a wonderful legacy to the world----YOU! You were very blessed to have a father you loved and who loved you. (I was also blessed in that way.)

A lot of people do NOT have that blessing in life.

Hope your day is great today, Martha, and your week, too! Susan

  9. Hello from Spain: I like the tribute that you do your father. My father also died young. I every day I think of him. He was the best person in the world. I agree with you. Someday I'll be back with my father. Great Victorian porcelain. Nice mugs. Keep in touch

  10. Hi Martha,
I love the pics of your dad and hubby's dad. I would love to dance with my father again too. As I get older I think of him more and wish I could just give him one more hug. The vintage father cups are so beautiful! Things are getting very busy for me with the upcoming wedding this Sunday. Hope your week is happy!

  13. Two unique mugs to bring back memories of fathers. Even though they weren't with us for Father's Day, a nice time to reflect on happy thoughts of them.

  15. Hi Martha! I enjoyed this post. My Dad has been on my mind a lot lately too. Partly because of Father's Day, partly because of the 70th anniversary of D-Day and partly because his birthday was in June. He's been gone 10 years now and I miss him.
