COUNTING MY BLESSINGS WITH A CUP OF TEA!

Hello Ladies: Welcome to Tea Cup Tuesday No. 215. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. My weekend was amazing! Both my Grandson and my Son were baptized in front of God, the church and our family. I was so proud of them both. I can't remember when I was so happy and proud of my two sons. When I asked Noah how he felt, he said "Grandma, it felt like all my sins had been watched away!" He is 6 years old, what sins? He is so cute. Also had the big craft class at church and it was a wonderful success. I promised to tell you how to make them and here goes. Very easy, find your form, cut 56 strips of fabric 10" long by 1" wide and tie them on with a double knot, until the whole wreath is covered. They look so cute and make a perfect Mother's Day gift. You can use all kinds of different fabrics, as in the red one or an old table cloth as in the white and pink one. They look very cute, pictures do not do them justice.

As you can see from the top picture, I have been playing with vintage laces and flowers this week as well. I have covered a lamp shade in the living room. I will probably add more lace, but for right now, I like it.

Here is my first cup this week. It is a first cup is a Theodore Haviland, Limoges, France. Just look at all the detail and the gold gild. It is a Limoges and I am always smitten with them.

The next cup is Paragon. It is part of a series of different color cups with the same design.  I think I have four total.  This one is a lovely pink color.

The next cup is German.  I love the rose lace trim on this cup and saucer. It is a demitasse.

Looking forward to visiting all your lovely posts this week. I don't think Terri and I ever get tired of looking at lovely tea cups and the amazing vignettes you create with them.   Have a wonderful week.

Blessings, Martha

  14. Hi Martha! Congrats on the baptisms and I know you're taking great joy in anticipating eternity with loved ones! GREAT lampshade - my Floral Frills would look divine on lampshades! Great cups - I have a couple similar - but the big news for you in teacups is that I took the one I won from you to the Dolly & Me Tea I co-hosted recently - featured in my post today.
    Take joy!
