TEA CUP PARTIES FOR TWO DAYS!

Hi Ladies: Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! Mine was very sweet, thank you. In another post I will show you my nephew's new state of the arts, home. Have you seen that commercial on TV that shows a home with televisions in every room, including the bathrooms and closets? That is his home! Except he also have televisions outside, in the outside living room, by the waterfall. Yes, I said waterfall. Don't worry, I got lots of pictures. The entire house was custom made. My nephew Tim, is not married and barely 26 years old. He gave all the mom's beautiful flower arrangements. We sat outside in the eating area and built in heaters that you could not see, kept us so warm and cozy. Some of us watched the TV, others sat by the outside fireplace, still others were in the rock Jacuzzi. Music was piped into to every area of the house and yard. The place was just amazing and completely private.

Anyway, more later on the house, right now we have two parties going on. The first is at Ceilo's from http://houseinroses.blogspot.com/. She is hosting a Victorian Tea Party. Please stop by and visit her. She has ladies from all over the world sharing their tea cups. Of course, the second one is Tea Cup Tuesday that Terri and I host. Terri's address is http://artfulaffirmations.blogspot.com/. Last week we had 40 ladies partying. It took me all day to visit. So today with two parties we just might be what my son calls "Party Animals". Who can get tried of looking a amazing tea cups? Not me!

Now on to my cups! My first cup is a vintage, Elegant Glass Etched cup and saucer with scalloped edges. It has a name, I just can't think of it. I love the lace like pattern that is etched on each piece. I hope you can see it on the cup. I think it is stunning. The next cup is fairly common. it's called New England Toile. I have only had it for about 10 years or so. I thought I wanted to collect some black tea cups because I did not own any at the time. So I purchased the tea pot and the sugar and creamer. The thought was I could always have a tea table decorated in blacks and whites. I always have a plan!

The next one is the white coffee cup. Does not really fall into tea cup slot, but isn't it beautiful? It is Fritz and Floyd, 1988. I just love how dainty it looks with the fairly handle. That one is followed by a rare Leneige cup and saucer. It is circa 1950 and is a very thin china. The cup is a demitasse with the purple flowers and a cream color china. Notice the scallop edges on the cup. It is my favorite of this bunch.

Last but not least the a Lefton, demitasse cup and saucer. It comes with a stand and has those adorable feet on the cup. When I have teas I like to use my demitasse cups as vases. I fill them with baby roses to match the table setting. I like I said, I always have a plan. Well I hope you enjoyed my pretties this week.

You can just add your name to "Mr. Linky" and party on!

Please join us no matter how late, we just want you to play. See you at the parties! Blessings, Martha
