Pink Saturday And Tea Cup Tuesday! Can LIife Get Any Better?

Good Morning Ladies! It is "Pink Saturday", my favorite day to go visit all my friends. It is also the day when I am finally going to tell you about our "Tea Cup Tuesday". I know you ladies are involved in so many special days and this is just one more, so feel free to play only when you want to. Here is what my friend Terri at http://artfulaffirmations.blogspot.com/ are planning to do. Today, her post and my will be very similar (we want to get our stories straight), so if you visit my friend don't be surprised.

If you LOVE Tea Cups, come over and visit on Tuesdays! Our new weekly blog event beginning March 9th! Since Terri and I share a love of tea cups, we thought we might like to show them off and see what other blogger's have as well.

We will be showcasing one of our favorite cups' from our china cabinets, each week. Along with the photos, we will be sharing some of the following:

It’s history or how we came by it.
It’s maker, or maybe a photo of it’s mark if we don't know the maker.
One of our favorite things to drink in our tea cups.
A treat we love to have with our drink.
A musing
A poem
A quote
A cup we don't have but would like to. (This is my problem.)

We would love it, if some of you collectors out there would join us! We would love to see your tea cups too! It is easy to play, just e-mail me by Monday and we will add your name to our list of participants. Choose anything from the list above for what you would like to share about your tea cup. Do all of them, just one or just add the picture. We just want see you pretties! We would love it, if you would add our button to your side bar!

To start this months' party, I am having a give away! I love to give things away! Of course, it will be a book. This one is by a local artist, Susan Rios, who does wonderful work. The book is called "The Twelve Teas of Inspiration". The book is wonderful. I am also adding a little bling, of course, a tea cup, that else would it be? To be a part of the give away, please added my button to your blog and let me know you did it. The more comments the more changes you have to win. It's easy! We all like easy!

Thank you for your prayers, I will let you know what the doctor's said, next posting. One little surprise, I have a brain! Yeah! Blessings, Martha

  11. I too love tea cups! my aunt has the most beautiful service with delicate flowers, but instead of being on the outside of the cup they are inside, so all the time you are drinking your tea, you can have the pleasure of inspecting each tiny handpainted blossom! Happy Saturday! suzie xxx

  20. Dear Martha...I have been so remiss in getting to all of the blogs I want to visit...I'm in a rut I believe..and start with the same ones..and wear out before I get where I want to go. I know. Excuses, excuses!

My daughter owns Emilie Barnes home and I wondered if you had ever been to visit it? It is an amazing home..so different with it's little dutch doors. I also have her Emilies books. They are just beautiful..

You have such lovely things. I also love teacups and am always on the lookout for that special one..and like you, I am a serial collector! :) Lately I have been on the lookout for silver..and that has been a real adventure!
I enjoyed my Sunday morning visit with you. I missed church this morning, having dizzy spells like you and it is no fun. They did that brain scan on me and found I was having what one Dr. called mini strokes but another said everyone does that when they get older. Sigh...what's a grandma to believe? :)
    Have a wonderful Sunday..
    Mona

p.s. If you are ever in the mood to visit the Antique Mall by the Mission Inn..please do give me a call. I would love to meet you at my childrens bakery in Canyon Crest (lunch on me of course) go on to the Antique's Mall.
:) My email address is on my blog. Do email if you decide.

  25. My dear Martha, you have a heart and a brain and courage! Many blessings to you! That book of tea cup inspiration looks just beautiful. I wish I had teacups. I don't have many pretties like that. Just honkin coffee mugs that also double for tea. I used to live in Texas -- I like 'em big. HA! Hope all is well in your lovely little corner of the world. Much love, Tammy

  29. This sounds like a sweet idea! My tea cups are all packed away unfortunately. Most of them came from family members and a few were Christmas gifts. I like your little duckies amongst all your collectibles! I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers!
