FEELING BETTER & NOAH IS COMING! YEAH!

Got a few more pictures of the Red, White & Blue color changes I am in the mist of. I have also included a picture of our home my husband had commissioned a few years back. The house looks so different now. Tomorrow I get Noah, he is little sick, but he did not get it from me. Thank God, I could not live with myself, if I got him sick. I also finish my first item for the swap I am in. I sure hope she likes it. I'll get pictures of it tomorrow. Last day of May and I am ready for summer. Looking forward to what ever the Lord has for me and my family!

I NEED MORE ROOM!

I am stuck right now, trying to find a place to put my current things away. How did this happen? What is wrong with me? I have too much. If you see anything you can't live without, let me know, it just might be for sale. This is just one cabinet. I have several just as full. Sales have been slow on Ebay lately. I just don't feel right putting more things up, until these current things sell. Maybe tomorrow, I will have more things put away and my Red, White & Blue will finally be up. If you are in the mood to shop, please check out my Ebay and my Etsy, I need the help!

A CHANGE IS IN THE AIR

The mantle in the living room is done (I think)! Maybe the reds are a little dark? I am going to leave it dark for a while to see how I like it when everything else is done. At least it is a start. Let me know what you think. I have not brought up the bins for the June colors. Did I tell you I have bins under my house for each month of the year? Not good, I know. Some months have several bins. I know, I know, it's bad. I hate to even confess this. Don't tell anyone, especially my husband! As you look at the pictures, notice the shawl on the lady, it's a rhinestone necklace. The silver and burgundy bowl is from a dear friend at church, Crystal, who I dearly love. Look closely, you can put bling every where!

LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE RED, WHITE & BLUE

For June and July I decorate my house in Red, White & Blue. It is always a little bit of a stretch for me, since they are not my "colors". So, it is a little bit harder to get started and it does not help that I am still sick. Once I get a vision for the rooms, it comes very easy. Right now, I am a little stuck. What I do is start in a small area of my room, and keep working the vignette until I fall in love with the way it looks. Once I get my first piece of furnature done, every thing else is easy. I just started today. No vision, yet. One of the hardest thing is finding place to put away my last vignette colors. I tend to pick up new things very time, so storage is always fun! I taken some pictures of my first start-up work so you can see progress, as well as, some fun yard shots. The tree is a plum tree and it is full! The tree is along side my drive way. I have no dirt between house and driveway, so pots are the only way to get color! It works!

DECORATING HINTS FROM ONE WHO IS CLUELESS

Since I have been so sick lately, I have had the time to do some puttering around my home. I am a lover of "bling" and I think rhinestones can and should be used in all areas of the home. My kitchen windows, for instance, have 2 rhinestone pins I use as pull backs. I also think all windows look better with wreaths, but that is not always easy to do. No home is complete without teacups of course, and you can't have teacups with out rhinestones! I have taken a few pictures for you to look at. Life just does not seems complete without the bling! Have a great Memorial Day!

A MEMORABLE WEEKEND

Memorial Weekend and I am still sick. I tried to do a little gardening, but could not, still having trouble breathing. We had friends drop by but had to tell them to leave, we did not want to get them sick. I thought I was going to die, I felt so bad. I have not seen my Noah in a whole week. I need a Noah fix, so I added a picture. I have had a lot of time on the computer this week, because that is all I can do. So I joined this Swap on Etsy and I am so excited. If you have not looked at the Etsy Blogs, you have to. So many creative women in this group. This will be my first swap, I do not know who I have but we get to give 3 things we make away. I hope my work is good enough. I made a spoon this week. I might make a special one for my swap, I don't know yet. I still can not get the pictures right. They are so pretty in person. My son Kyle got his first ticket, for speeding! He was so upset. He is in the process of trying to get into the Glendale Firefighter Explorers. Please pray for him, this is a very long hard process. He has to tell them about the ticket. He needs to pass a background check. He is fine in that area at least. I did not realize that this was going to be such a hard process for him. Please pray, Kyle wants to be a Fire Fighter so bad.

JUST CANNOT LAY IN BED!

I have this horrible cold, but I just cannot stay in bed. I think I feel sicker in bed. So, I get up do something and then lay down for a couple of hours. That's how I have been spending the last 2 days. It is my mother's birthday and my father-in-law's birthday today. Love them both with all my heart! God has blessed me with wonderful parents. My father and my mother-in-law are now with the Lord! Don't forget to tell your parent's that you love them every chance you get. Time goes by so quickly and they are gone. I took a couple of pictures of my yard this morning. My yard always makes me feel better. I wonder if I am the only one that get refreshed in their garden? I took a couple of pictures of a shelf in one of my bathrooms. I also have worked on my silver spoon projects. If you have not seen them, please take a peek at my Etsy!

A NEW COLLECTION - TIME FOR THERAPY

It's true, I have started a new collection. It really sneaked up on me. It got me while, I was minding my own business. This Sunday, I got up early, before church and decided to go to a swap meet very near my home. Since, I was up early I had plenty of time before church started to "just look". As I walked and resisted many things, I noticed these beautiful, vintage, rose hats. They were stunning! So one thing lead to another and 7 hats later, I had a new collection. I know, I need therapy. I have taken a couple of pictures of some of the hats that are now part of my life. Once you see them you will see why, I hope! I also spend some time with my Noah this week. I have pictures of him eating his first salad. Also of his mother, trying to take a picture of him eating his first salad and of him riding his bike. I think he looks like Bam bam. Just look at those feet. You just want to kiss them. I have also included a few more garden pictures. I am stuck in the garden lately. It does my soul good! If you have not tried it, you should. Be careful, it's addicting!

SPRING GARDEN

As you can tell all my roses are in bloom and I just have to share. On Friday's I cut a bunch and take them to our church for the altar. They look so pretty! I look for large bud roses of different colors, so when they are all in bloom, like now, it's a buffet for the eyes and nose. I found a new thrift store today. They had vintage hats and so many pieces of costume jewelry. I will take pictures tomorrow to share. I have join a Destach group in order to clear out some of my items. Still have not put one item on the web site. I have to do this, maybe I should ask for prayer!
